On the Hierarchy of Vampires
Vampires are a race who take respect to those stronger than you very seriously, strength in the vampire race is determined by one of three factors; your age, the manner in which you became a vampire, and bloodline.
Age is easy enough to understand, the older you are the stronger you are, the longer you have been on earth the more energy you absorb from it. The more ancient the vampire, the more respected the vampire.
The manner in which one becomes a vampire is very important, between two vampires of the opposite sex there is a slight possibility that they will have an offspring. Then there is the more mainstream method which involves turning a human into a vampire. There is a strict hierarchy between pure-born vampires and turned vampires, the turned vampires are considered nothing more than servants to the pure-born vampires, they are taught to forever appreciate the pure-born vampires for giving them the gift of eternal life, this thought has been gradually fading away with the new influx of turned vampires in the 21st century, they believe that vampires of both kinds and humans should all be equal, Ha! That is nothing but the insane rambling of the foolish mongrels.
Bloodline is the most determining factor, the history of the vampire race tells us that in the beginning two vampires were created, one male one female, they were created as perfect beings with no flaws and then it was noticed that they needed something more than the bounty of the earth for sustenance and thus two humans were created, one male one female to serve as their food and for the descendants of the humans to serve as food for the descendants of the vampires. It is said that the two vampires had six children two males and four females from who the entirety of the vampire race would descend. The closer in generation you are to the original six the stronger your bloodline.
Though the factors have been accepted as the gospel truth, there would always be inconsistencies, with enough training the gap caused by any of the factors can be bridged but there is one thing that through the millennia has and will always remain unshakable, of the original six only two are known to still stalk the earth and they are the undefeatable gods in the eyes of all vampires regardless of their positions in life, it is something imprinted into the blood that flows through them, the very thing that grants them all their power.
Vampires are not ruled by a democracy, they are ruled by a monarchy with the last two of the original six serving as their monarchs, they are regarded as god-kings and their word is treated as the most sacred of things. Directly serving under the god-kings of the vampires are their biologically born descendants, after which comes the most trusted of their turned which serve as heralds, enforcers or whatever position they are required to fill at the moment, after which comes the disposable turned vampires who serve as cannon fodder, and at the absolute bottom comes humans, the cattle, which serve as nothing more than food.
There have been offspring gotten from the copulation between a vampire and a human, the copulation is considered bestiality and their offspring are treated as lower than even humans by vampires and are segregated by the humans. The vampire involved in such if found will be sentenced to death for "daring to sully the blood".
Vampires consider their blood to be the most sacred of things and thus the gift of vampirism is not granted to just anybody, or at least that is how things were.
Vampires are very respectful of the hierarchy and any one who disrespects some above him in the hierarchy can be killed by the person who he disrespects with no consequences.
