"I told you. I'm not gonna eat with you, Li Qiang," stated Yin Yue, huffing in annoyance. This man was driving her mad and there wasn't anything she could do about it.
Li Qiang looked at her indifferently, wishing for that day to just end. Just hour ago he received a message from mother, saying that he and Yin Yue had to attend a party, done for his cousin to celebrate her comeback from England. Cindy Yang definitely wasn't a person he wanted to see in this miserable time of his life, but clearly his mom thought otherwise.
"Believe me, dear. I'd rather just go home, but my parents demand our presence on today's party. You finished your work, so come with me and have yourself dolled up," he said, more and more angry with her. In response Yin Yue raised her eyebrows and snickered.
"That's your way of inviting your dear wife to a party?" she mocked, causing the man to grit his teeth.
"Should I offer you flowers? Believe I'd do that if you weren't barking at me all the time," Li Qiang snapped and to his surprise Yin Yue fell silent.
She sighed and after a while looked him in the eye.
"Seriously... You bring only trouble, but fine. Let's go, we can't keep your parents waiting," Yin Yue said, even though she'd rather die than meet his parents again.
Not only they hated her, but didn't restrain themselves in showing their disdain towards her. Of course, Yin Yue could understand why they'd disliked her, after all she married their oldest son, a big fish in the country. She suspected that this invitation wasn't for the two of them but only for Li Qiang, as if she remembered correctly, it was time for Cindy to come back.
Cindy Yang was Li Qiang only cousin and not only was she loved by his mother, but she was also meant to be his fiancée. Obviously she wasn't happy when he had suddenly married Yin Yue.
"You guessed right, but don't think about it too much. You're the one who's my wife," she heard Li Qiang soft voice, and she blinked, surprised.
"I didn't know you could do mind-reading," Yin Yue smiled a little, trying to regain her composure. She was nervous and scared to meet all these people again and even though her husband wasn't the greatest accomplice, she'd still let him calm herself down and appreciate it.
I know it's been a while! I lost access to my account and just regained it, so I'm finally back! ^^
