Chapter 3: An uninvited guest

"If she was evil and ugly, who can call themselves kind and beautiful."

Walking past her a few steps, he suddenly turned around and asked leisurely, directing to Ella. "Young miss in the black cape, I heard about a delicious ginger and lemon tea selling somewhere here. Wonder if you know where it is?"

Ella turned around slowly and answered with her head slightly down, avoiding his gaze. "It's closed for the day, sir."

"I see. Unlucky me. Will it be back for sale tomorrow?" His voice inquiring mellow.

"I'm afraid I can't answer that. The lady who's selling has an eccentric personality, having no set schedule." Ella spoke in a soft calm voice. Without even looking, she could pinpoint wasn't a regular person who wanted to buy a drink. His words seemed vexing, yet his aura gave out a playfulness like someone finding something interesting.

"So it's like that. I guess I'll just try my luck tomorrow."

Ella bowed down slightly as if saying, 'do as you wish' and 'goodbye', before turning around and leaving. Fortunately, she had bought enough food to eat for more than one day, seemed like she will have a free day tomorrow. Left behind, the two figures stood unperturbed.

"Albert, do you want to make with me." He turned to the man beside him, smiling brightly.

"Milord, why betting when you surely will win," Albert answered dryly.

"I thought we shall have some fun when we are at it, no?" Albert looked at his master, Estron's 5th prince, Prince Dean. This may be the first time his master had smiled so heartily. He had never thought he would ever see it through his life. Being the prince attendant since he was a child, he has come to understand his master to a degree.

In the castle, he was a coldblooded prince, indifferent to everyone and everything. Yet right now, his prince seemed to have found something that awoke his interests. Albert looked at the lord and nodded, "Whatever you say, milord."

"Ahh, you're no fun, Albert." Seemed to have read his attendants' mind, he smiled thoughtfully as he looked at the direction of the girl he just spoke to. An eccentric personality, huh? He thought. Then she surely won't come to the market to see him tomorrow. He concluded and shook his head as he said dotingly.

"It seems that my future fiance won't serve me tea. Since she is shy, I better take the initiative to make a move."

...

The next morning, Ella was disturbed continuously knocks on her door. Deciding the day before to stay ay home, she could sleep through the whole morning without worry. Yet at this morning, knocks against the window could be heard to her bedroom.

Because of her being in a half-asleep state, it didn't cross her mind that nobody ever walks into this forest, and to come to her cottage. From the moment she moved in and until now, roughly 100 years, nobody had come knocking.

Wrapping herself with a shawl, she staggered to the dear. Opening it up, she peeked her head out, looking adorable in her half asleep state. The first thing she saw was shoes, glistening as if they were just made. Moving her eyes further up, a peerless handsome man met her gaze.

"Miss Ella." A familiar voice reached her ear. This man truly had the full package, not only was he an Adonis, his voice is dreaming too. Seemed like he truly was haunting her, she stayed home to avoid him, but he came knocking on the door.

"Do I know you?" Ella had wanted to sound inquiring and sceptical, but it's rather early in the morning for her, having just woke up, her voice was raspy and appealing.

"You don't but I do. Do you mind if I come in? It's truly cold outside in this snowy weather." Dean said so, but looking at his body, from top to toe, showing no weakness. Even if it was colder, it wouldn't bother him the least. But his words woke Ella out of her half-sleep state.

It was cold in Autumn, but not cold enough to the point of snow and freezing cold. With an exception, the place that surrounded her cottage. Standing here so leisurely, he must have passed pretty easily, not mention there wasn't a speck of snow nor rain on his clothes.

Straightening her posture, she crossed her arms in front of her chest and said: "I mind."

"I came to market for your tea, but no one was there. Wanting to taste it so badly, I could only travel this far for a cup." His plead, with his face looking as if he was bullied, yet his eyes were filled with mischievous.

"You want tea?" Ella creased face into a question sign.

"Uhhuh." Dean eagerly nodded, looking truly like an adorable child wanting to be spoiled.

Looking at him for a while, she signed slightly and let him in. Being a good host, she let him sit down in the study while waiting for the tea. Rustling around in the kitchen, she was still grumpy because of her disturbed rest. In meanwhile, Dean was glancing around in the study.

After a while, she came back with a small kettle, a cup and a jar of honey. Leaving it on the table, she poured him a cup.

"I don't know how sweet you want it, add more honey to your taste. Drink it while its warm and leave after you're finished." She reminded him before going back to her room for more sleep, leaving her uninvited guest to attend to himself.

Smiling dotingly at her leaving, he thought, my fiance, is such a heartless one.
