Chapter 29: Bree’s Guild Master
"Guild Master, they're here."
Yan and Rae was in front of the office of Bree's Guild Master. Like in the games he had played on his past life, he had expected to see an old man with long white hair that's gentle but stronger than anyone else to be the Guild Master. But what he heard next slightly surprised him.
"Come in."
Instead of an old man's voice, it was of a woman's. It carried a tone of authority but with sultry. It excited Yan quite a bit.
As they entered the office, Yan and Rae was dumbfounded. At these parts of the continent, they expected that the Guild Master would be of a human race. This was not the case.
What greeted them was beautiful and mature woman. She had shoulder-length golden hair and green eyes. She had slightly pointed ears and had a thin red lips. She also had a reddish skin complexion. Her scarlet with gold linings garment shows domineering attitude but also had a sexy side. Yan can see her cleavage almost bursting out and perfectly sculpted body curvatures. Compared to the cold but graceful looking Rae, the Guild Master has authoritative aura with a seductive mix.
Yan was dumbstruck by the enticing appearance of the Guild Master. It was only when he heard Catriona's voice that he got out of daze.
Catriona had told him that the Guild Master was a mix of the Blood Elves and Human blood. She was not like the elf that can normally be found on the Eastern Continent but the kind of elf that usually lives on the Raging Lands. She was also a Level 80 - Warlock. She was the strongest living being Yan had yet encountered.
Rae noticed Yan's gaze towards the Guild Master. She felt of jealousy but it was not without reason. The Guild Master was really that beautiful. Though she herself knew she was also beautiful, but the woman in front of her emitted mature, authoritative, and seductive aura that she does not currently possesses.
It was not only them that was shocked inside the room but also the Guild Master. When her assistant had told her that some adventurer would be selling monster cores, she expected that their appearance would be the of common rowdy folks on the first floor. But what appeared in front of her were two young people. Not even a day older than 18! Based on her experience and with the blood elves' strong innate mana connection, even without them emitting strong aura, she can feel that these two individuals were not simple as they may seem. She also noticed the small puppy in the arms of the beautiful young lady was stronger than normal wolves.
With Yan's strong mental capabilities, he was the first to regain his composure in split second.
"I'm sorry for staring at you impolitely, Guild Master. I didn't expect that there's beauty, other than my partner, existed in this world. I'm Yan Norton and my partner is Rae Thomas. Truth be told, I've expected that the appearance of a Guild Master would be a gentle old man. Haha."
"Which do you prefer more, me or an old man?" Asked the Guild Master while smiling seductively.
"By all means, I like...no...I love our current situation."
Everyone in the room heard his polite words but his eyes showed a different thing. His eyes flickered of greed and desire. Yan inspected every part and curves of her perfect body. It was the first time that he had felt this feeling, other than Rae, coming out to this world.
If it were other person who stared at her with those kind of eyes, the Guild Master would have damned him with countless of curses and unspeakable tortures. She was surprised that she did not find his stares undesirable. She even felt tingling feeling all over her body. It was her first time feeling this. With her high level and talent, she would always lead a conversation with authority, but today was not the case. The aura of this young man in front of her were very domineering. It was very natural for him to lead their conversation.
"Aheem. Please have a seat. I'm Bree's current Guild Master, Rosella von Teese. As you can see, I'm not human but of half-breed. I'm half human and half blood elf. Due to my appearance being of an enemy, I was thrown in these part of the continent. So, you want to sell monster cores?"
Though she talked nonchalantly, Yan noticed a flash sorrow in her eyes. 'Everyone has their own story', he thought.
As they sat down, Yan's gaze never left her eyes. He smiled and replied.
"Yes. Both of me and my partner are applying to be an official Adventurer Party. We currently don't have money with us but we have lots of monster cores. We want to sell it to you."
"Oh. Can I first see them? You must know that their price depends on their quality."
Rosella was a little bit skeptical of his claim.
"Sure."
Yan wave his hand and a large pouch appeared on the Guild Master's desk. 'So, he has a storage ring. It's extremely rare for people to possess it in these parts of the land', Rosella thought.
Rosella opened the large pouch slowly. She was slightly surprised of the content. Not only was the pouch full of monster cores, they're even some that as large as a human fist. This can only mean that it was from a boss rank monster, at least Level 35 or higher. A party of at least ten - Level 40 people needed to hunt those down. Their are least six - fist size monster cores in the pouch while the rest are of elite rank cores. It was not her first time seeing these kind of monster cores. The shops in the capital had many and even stronger and larger monster cores on sale. It's just that it's hard for these monster cores, in these parts of the continent, to come by. By no means possible that these monsters were killed by these two young people in front of her.
"Were you the one who harvested these monster cores?" As Rosella tried to probe Yan and Rae.
"Well, it's actually none of your business to know how we got those." Yan replied with impolite tone.
"I...I was just curious. I apologise." Rosella was startled by his sudden change of tone.
"Do you really want to know, Guild Master? I can tell you but there's something you must first do before knowing." Yan's eyes were tinkling with seduction.
"Oh. What is it? Can you tell me?"
If they were on the capital, Rosella would not be even bat an eye to a high-ranking noble, let alone a normal adventurer. But today was different, she was very curious of the young man in front of her. With her high level, when a normal person hear her name, they would cower in fear. But she just can't help but be drawn into his enigmatic eyes.
When she heard his condition, instead of furiously attack him, she instead furiously blushed. Her heart can't help but beat crazy.
