Chapter 21: Village problems
currently, Ryuuji and Cane were sitting in the same small Riverstone house that belonged to Cane's mother. The three of them were sitting on chairs that enclose a small table on which humble dishes we're spread out.
Although the food was rather bland compared to the foods and various delicacies of the soutuo city since it was his mothers cooking he was eating it with a huge smile on his face.
"No no eat slowly lest you get your tongue burned, aye I missed my son so much, you have been gone for nearly...three....four years without any notice, you should have at least visited once to give your mother some calm and peace of mind," said canes mother as she poured a big handful of fried chicken on her sons plate. Ryuuji was just sitting there staring at the duo of mother and son with a happy and sour expression.
He was happy because he got to meet the mother of his friend again and sour because in this world there was no one that was so precious to him. Yes, he rather liked the even Shrek and Cane especially....but there was this hollow place in his heart that was not going to fill up real soon.
"Bussh moffer I ffeally life yof coofing! " said Cane with a huge bun stuffed in his mouth" to be honest Ryuuji just wanted to punch the boys face in and kill him at this moment but held himself back for the sack of appearance.
again just for the sake of saying, he did not mind the fact that he was invisible in the eyes of his friend's mother...he was not mindful...

*Knock knock knock*
an abrupt knock was heard on the door of the little house, "Who is it?" asked Cane's mother in a slightly loud voice to convey her message.
"Aha! it's me Xao"
"A village chief! it's you come on in, why are you standing outside"
"Ha I, thanks I heard that the little boy Cane came back so I was hoping I could meet him, after all, he is the only spirit master in our village"
"You are too kind Chief Xao, Cane stand up and pay respect to the village chief," said his mother which he stood up and gave a slight now towards the elder, the previous bun still in his mouth, preventing him from speaking"

"Hahahahaha..ha. ha" Upon listening to the old man's words, Ryuuji could not hold himself as he burst out laughing, Fabled...fabled rank the rank of 20 is a fabled rank to these guys "

"No I am a rank 50 spirit master," I said as I summoned my Summoned dark fire,I don't need to submit my rings to activate abilities anymore since they are so potent.
it seemed that the old man became scared my by the sheer her that emanated from the fire so he took a step back almost hitting his head against the bell 🔔 that hung right above the door.
But seeing as I was not hostile he calmed down before his eyes again shifted towards Cane
"Cane I have a favor to ask of you if you don't mind"
"Yes what is it chief"
"Nothing that can be discussed here , why don't you meet me at my house alright I have some Krista Cakes from the neighbouring village as a treat for you" said chief
" No problem ,I will visit in a while"
with the real reason of the chiefs arrival confirmed and after his departure , Canes mother turned around as she looked at me again,"Aye! I nearly forgot about you Ryuuji , how has life treated you so far?" she asked
"Not unfairly ,I am doing rather fine" said Ryuuji with a cheery tone.
"Too fine, he has been doing too fine," said Cane with mirth in his eyes

his mother chuckled at her son's words
Nothing exciting happened and the trio talked about what happened and stuff like that until it was the evening of the day. so they decided it was time to end it,
"Little Cane ,I am gonna temd to the little veggies while you guys go and listen to what he Xao has to say ok" she said with a sweet smile, Ryuuji was now symure that the women had never been sad
RYUUJI POV :-
I was rather disappointed to see that the cliche of some village problem spouting up did not happen, as a fellow friend of Came also returning after becoming a spirit master so that he would have a conflict with us and later on I would whip his ass and the village girls would be head over heels for me, but nothing happened and that was what made me unhappy but I don't understand what's making Came sad, maybe the fact that he would have to leave his mother behind.
"So what's making you sad buddy, is it that the one you had fallen in love with when you were young is with another man or so," I said in a creepy manner, I can not help but play with his emotions, the guy is like a steeled knight with a straight pure and cheerful mind, much like his spirit. Seeing the glint in his eyes was enough for me to be satisfied
it did not take even a minute before we reached our destination. the house was a little more well made than the other ones, provided that it was the chief's home but what can we do about it.
before we could even knock in it, the door opened by itself, "Come In "
we walked in, lead by a sturdy twenty-year-old guy who had a pickaxe on his shoulder, he was probably a farmer or something
we were led to what seemed like a dining table. " Hello young ones sit down and eat "
I was just about to sit down as I eyes the fried leg that was placed on the table but something shocking happened.
*Crash * chair falling SFX
I looked to my side and saw my dear cute friend, an expression of rage and the sound of teeth-gritting against each other.
"I don't have time for your shit old man, tell me what your problem and don't you dare to speak bullshit again," said Cane as he summoned his blade spirit
I was too shocked to even say a word, what the fuck was happening, did Cane have something against the old man or something , oh my gosh the poor man that had a pickaxe on his shoulders was already about to foam out while the old man was... .well I don't know what to say, his hands were raised in the air as he was about to say something again but then he became quiet , he probably knew It was best not to make the youth anymore furious and stuff.
"I just wanted to you know, just tell you that since you are this villages first-ever spirits master, that it was.....your duty to help it and...and that if you would like, then I could just give you my position as a chief."
"I am not interested in your fuckin position , just shove it in this shitty son of yours...now listen to me very carefully shitface....you are gonna come with me...i am going to take care that no body dares to bully my mother behind my back...dont dare think that I don't notice things , here take this and heed my words , if even a single tear escapes my mother I will butcher you" said Cane as he just left the house and of course I followed along , right after picking up the chicken leg that I wanted.
It looked like someone from the village used to bully Canes mother and surprisingly Cane was intelligent enough to notice it.
"You lost your cool buddy , what is the problem is someone bullying your mom or something tell me I can fix it alright"
"Haaaah! nothing I was just...i just get angry when it's about my mother , you remember last night when we arrived I heard a couple of women talking about this and that although it's a common thing about women gossiping about each other back I know that my mother is too emotional, she can't take it "
"Hey don't worry Bout it, that is a good thing, every child is always emotional about someone bad-mouthing his family and especially his mother" I gave home some assurance as I patted his shoulder
"I really don't want to leave her behind man, what the reason for me to become stronger if I can't be by my mother's side anyway."
"Who says you can't take her with you....provided that she is willing to go along with you" I said but meanwhile I was also analyzing the situation ,I could see that women gossiping behind each other was not the only thing he was worried about.
I knew something was up with him but I could not put my mind to it or maybe I was just thinking too much and it was just a son worrying about his mothers mental health and stuff.
Seeing that there was no harm in it I decided to lend him and olive branch
"Why don't you ask her to come to my sect , no one will dare be disrespectful to her over in my place and you can meet your mother whenever you want since I can instantly travel to my sect."
He was a little surprised by my offer and I almost believed that he would take me up on my offer and would be happy about it but that was not the case.
"Let's leave it at that ,I don't want to burden you about it.i think my warning to the village elder was enough and I also gave mother a whole pouch full of gold so it's gonna be fine"
Well I suppose its fine since he says so but just to be sure I will ask.... the system if I can have a body guard for his mother in awe you know.
(System can you ask a spirit douluo or a titled douluo from my world to come here and guard Canes mother so that nothing unexpected happens and stuff)
We were finally ready and so began our journey back to soutuo city but since I already knew that they would have left for the imperial something city I told Cane to take to the main highway it would take us two days which mean a our whole journey would end and I can finally witness the tournament , maybe I should join team B or maybe master you would put me in team A
GUYS SOMEHOW MYINKSTONEGLITCHING ANDSO I CANNOT EDIT THE MISTAKES WVERY LINE I HAVE WRITTEN THE MC NAME WRONG ITS ACTUALLY KYUUJI AND THE MINI DRAGON IS CALLED RYU OR LITTLE RYU BUT NOW I CANNOT CHANGE THE NAME DUE TO SOME PROBLEMS SO BEAR WITH ME.
