Chapter 168: Chapter 2. Hermit, Small Children

It took a while to clean up the large amount of animal's corpse he prayed as for their souls as he burnt their bodies to ashes.

Afterward, Demos continued on with cultivating his field.

Tap, Tap

Demos was tapped by the 'little people' they seemed to be telling him something. He felt like someone was watching him, so, he turned around and saw two little children looking at him. Pink colored hair and green eyes. Thin bodied with simple ragged clothes stained with dirt. They couldn't be any more than five or four years old

One is a girl and one a boy, but two of them looks the same.

'Twins? It's strange that there are children alone in the forest; I don't sense any other people around.'

"Are you lost? Did you come here alone?" For some reason, he felt like he was asking, and unnecessary question given the fact that these two looks as if they have been in this forest for quest sometimes and they were incredibly young

The children tilt their heads. They look blankly at me in silence. When I take a step forward, they make a step back.

'….They seem to be cautious of me.' Demos sat down cross-legged.

"There's nothing to fear, won't you come over here?"

The two walked over slowly; Demos didn't like the fact that they were dirty and not clean. So, he asked the little people to help him clean them.

The eyes of the two shined and blinked in surprise, but they probably judged that they are in no danger, so they didn't run away. After making their bodies clean, Demos could see small wounds all over their bodies.

"Ah! They must be hungry" he said, just as he was about to get up. The little people brought him some berries. Demos smiled "Here, eat up" he placed the red berries in the hands of the to children. They examined and sniffed the before they finally ate them. He saw their suspicious expression change before them. Making him remember the first time he ate the red berries.

A light was shining behind, drawing his attention and the children who scuffed off into the bushes due to being startled.

The light was coming from his hut. 'It must be a message from the goddess' he thought as he rushed inside.

He saw a strange looking device not too far from his shrine it and then dim before completely disappearing. The little people moved toward it and started touching it.

Demos wasn't sure what it was exactly, but he thinks it makes clothes. He watched as the device started producing fabric.

'Are they making clothes?' Demos then looked down at his tunic before looking back at the fires that had already finished.

The clothes were strange looking, but they felt incredibly soft. Just then little people began to move around.

They were teaching him how to put on the clothes.

They felt strange had first, but the softness of them didn't make him regret wearing them. Afterall they where a gift from the goddess. So after words, he went to go pray at her shine to show respects for her gift.

Tap, tap

The little people had brought him more clothes. They were small so her

guessed they were made for the little children who were picking inside his hut.

Demos beckoned them over before changing them out of their ragged clothes.

"Do you to have names?" he asked.

The two children look at each other. They seem to be conversing.

Although they are not talking…

Is that it? The mutual understanding between twins? They looked at him.

Before nodding their head in a gesture that said no.

"Then from now on your Alanis and Your Alexia" Demos said pointing to them. He named the boy Alanis and the girl Alexia. He began to Wonder if the names where appropriate.
