Xing took a deep breath as she walked forward towards the assailants in the thick trees while asking the Emperor to stand behind her. Even though his fate might be changed nothing is set in stone and he might have the same lifespan from the scroll of fate.

Xing didn't want the Emperor to die because she liked him for one and also if he dies, there won't be anyone to succeed him to the throne and it would be hard for her to fulfil the Gods plan for her to save their kingdom.
