Chapter 3: The family keeps growing.
I, my mother and siblings are in front of the shop [Eeylops Owl Emporium] in Diagon Ally, although they mainly work with owls, they have a vast variety of creatures and some that you can get only with the right connections.
Now if the Malfoy family is most know for something ,it is connections, so although we're still going to look at the animals in the shop, we're also going to look at the VIP section if nothing catches our eye.
"Now kids, go look for your pet but remember, for every witch or wizard their pet is very important. It is better to say it will be a companion for the rest of its life and will be the same as family to you, so choose carefully because it will be a choice that changes your life." She says.
Mum looks at us seriously as our excitement is cooling down. Me, Draco and Jasmine look at each other before turning to our mother again and answer '"Yes mum!'".
"Okay now go, hup hup we don't have all day." After that we all go our own way in the shop.
('Now were am I going to start, a bird would be handy but I don't really feel like having one at the moment. Maybe a cat, they say it brings good luck in the wizarding world.
Now who am I trying to convice? Of course it has to be a Wolf! My fricking name is literally demanding it!')
Now that it is decided, I look around for any wolf species.
*30 minutes later*
('I can't find anything that really connects to me.')
It's not like there aren't any wolfs, it's just I don't feel the spark. I'm really serious about this, this isn't just a pet to me, it's going to be family, maybe even closer than that, I even let my mind door open and I'm using legilimency at full power to feel even the faintest connection.
"Lo you still haven't found a pet yet?" suddenly I hear my mother's voice behind me.
There is see Draco holding a tiny black green snake with big yellow eyes and is no more than 30 cm long, it looks pretty cute but my senses tell me not to underestimate it.
'Draco where did you find that one, I don't know this species?'
Although I may not be the best but I'm pretty confident about my knowledge of magical creatures, and I've read a lot about them. I even memorized Newt Scamander's book and still like to read it from time to time.
"Of course Lo, this is Jormun, if you knew his species you can write a book yourself, this little snake is an combination of the basilisk snake and the Norwegian Ridgeback dragon snake. They are apparently very rare and the shop owner showed him to me when I asked if they have an animal with a dragon heritage, he said this guy just came in yesterday."
I'm not surprised that Draco asked for a pet with a dragon heritage. I mean, Just like me it's in his name, he has an unhealthy love for dragons, can't really blame him, I have the same with wolves just they are more…house friendly.
… I'm really happy that or sister wasn't named with a creature in mind.
Speaking of my sister I look over at her and she has a brown Egyptian cat in her arms.
'Looks like you found one too Jasmine.'
I'm kind of sad that I'm the only one that hasn't found one yet, maybe my expectations are too high, that's when Jasmine explains her pet.
"Yeah this is a pure-blood Egyptian Mau Cat, her name is Daisy."
Although not as rare as Draco's snake, you can't find those just anywhere.
Don't underestimate cats, they are creatures with al lot of magical energy, especially a Egyptian pure-blood, they were worshiped in one of the countries with the most history together with China.
I'm really feeling down now.
('Shut it I know what you're thinking! Dude you are more than 20 years old and your jealous of two kids? Yeah so what, I've never really bothered to block my emotions, and look were I am now, in a freaking magic world. Born in one of the most influential families of all Europe, Forget the dying part in between though.')
"Don't be sad Lo, you still haven't looked at the VIP section, have you?"
I turn to my mother that looks at me with worry, I have a really great relation with her, you can say I'm a mummy's child, same for my brother, but Jasmine hangs more around Father.
'Okay mum, let's go take a look there.'
I put up my most happy expression so that mum cheers up, although she is cold to others, she is the best mother you can wish for.
After that little conversation we head to the owner to show us to the VIP section.
*In front the door of the VIP section*
"Now young master Lowell, please be careful in this room, the creatures in here are acquired through… Special methods, or are difficult to have as a pet. Most of them are only favoured by Wizards with… different tastes."
The one who said that is the shop owner, I don't like him, because I'm using legilimency to feel the animals in here I unfortunately also feel his emotions, and quite frankly it disgusts me.
The only thing I feel from him is that this is a good business and he doesn't consider the animals in here as living things, but only merchandise that can be sold.
'Yes is will be careful, now can we go in.'
"Of course, young master Lowell." He bows and turns to the door, he takes out his wand and touches the door at certain places in a difficult pattern.
"[Open!]"
('Tsk, using a keyword instead of saying the spell, looks like he is more then just a greedy businessman')
Although it's not that hard to do, you would be surprised how many wizards and witches have trouble with doing [Keyword chanting], unless you have studied it it can be a hassle to do.
*click, tektektek ̴ tktktk ̴ TICK!*
After the spell we hear all kinds of locks opening faster and faster until a loud tick sound is heard, the greedy owner puts his hand on the door handle and opens the door.
Out of nowhere an influx of emotions and thoughts hit me, it was so much that I fell down on my butt.
"Lo are you okay?" My mum rushes at me and helps me up.
'I'm okay mum, it was just an wave of emotions that surprised me."
I try to assure mother I'm okay but she doesn't look happy in the least. She turns to he owner with an angry face and speaks with a voice so cold, I'm pretty sure the temperature in the room dropped a few degrees.
"You better explain why this happens or else your shop's exposure of its dealings is the least of your problems, you understand."
I'm pretty sure he's sweating… jep definitely sweating.
"I'm really sorry madame, I didn't know young master Lowell was a Legilimen. The reason was probably because there is a charm formation around the room to keep prying eyes from it. I'm terribly sorry madame."
When suddenly I feel something, without any sign I rushed in the room following this feeling.
*everyone* "Lo?!? ;Young master?"
Everyone is shocked I just ran off but I don't give a damn right now!
After a minute in full sprint. I'm in front of a cage as big as a container, in there I see two little wolf cubs, one silvery white while the other ash black, but both have sky blue eyes.
'Hey there little guys, where you the ones who asked for help?'
I look straight in their eyes trying to know what that connection was, it was only for a split second but I felt it, that closeness and warmth.
"Lo..Lo… LO!!"
'Whaa! Why do you scare me like that?!'
I turn around and see everyone looking at me with weird faces.
'why are you looking at me like that?'
They look at each other as Draco turns to me and answers.
"Lo you where standing still for 10 minutes, you weren't moving a muscle, and then you suddenly begin speaking weird words."
('Huh, I only said one sentence and I'm pretty sure it was English, but why does this feel familiar.')
'That's for later, right now can you please open this cage.'
"But young master, these ar-"
'I DON'T CARE! OPEN THE GOD DAMN CAGE!'
Everyone is shocked, I've always been calm and don't make any trouble but right now I'm incredibly pissed off for some reason and without me knowing my magic is leaking out, but it feels different, more…colder. My mother looks and me and says to the owner.
"Open it"
He looks shocked at her and tries to change her decision.
"Madame, I don't think this a good idea, they are-" When my mother says the exact same words but colder.
"Open it!" He feels the chills in the air and opens the cage.
'It's okay guys, don't worry, I won't hurt you, I just want to come over, okay?'
I slowly walk to them, nice and low with my hand out. It appears they can feel my intention and slowly relax, I keep walking until I'm right in front of them.
'Shhhht ̴, everything's okay'
At the same time they touch my hand a white flash appears and swallows me up.
*BOOM!*('Not again?!?!')

Slycerr You can't understand the satisfaction of Cliff-kun if you are not a writher.
But anyway I do want to apologize about the late chapter, I'm not going to make excuses about it, but I'm also not going to explaining it either, if their are serious problems I will notify you guys and ask for patience.
Now that is over, how do you pps like the chapter, the next one is going to be important.
PS. Is it just me or are the chapters becoming bigger every time? No, just my imagination then.
