Chapter 5: Suspects (Part 1)

Emma's behaviour prevented me from interrogating her any further. It annoyed me the way she behaved. Any normal person would feel sympathic for her in this case but i felt nothing. After a while i could not find anything worthwhile so i excused myself.

As soon as i passed by their neighbour's house a sudden chill went down my spine as i thought someone was watching me.... no, i was sure they were. I looked around and for a moment thought i saw a figure in the window of the run down house.

"Well Mr. David i hope you can find who did this to my daughter" Mr Maxim said in a low deep voice as he bid me farewell.

"I will dont you worry, by the way, who lives here?" i asked.

His expression turned into disgust.

"Some traitors used to live here, now the place is empty" which disturbed me.

There was more to this story then i thought. The missing diary, the letter from the pillow, the missing neighbour's, Sallys previous case, the brother knowing the murderer...

The cheif was already at the station when i got there, he had a worried look on his face.

"You okay Chief?" I asked

He slowly turned his head towards me as he trembled, his eyes wide open as if he saw a ghost!

"Cheif?!" I asked.

Everyone else stood by quietly.

What was going on?!

"..... its gone...." the chief murmured.

Then he grabbed my collar and shouted

"The evidence is Gone!!!"
