Chapter 19: The Long Halloween part X
"I need your help, Holiday is kidnapping Lady Marisa"
Hearing that, Diggle's mind goes blank for a moment, before a deep rage starts to build up inside him. He was so mad, that his ability start to went on a little rampage, creating a little tornado.
"I'm on my way." replied Diggle with a dark tone before flying at his top speed as he hung up.
Not caring about controlling his power at all, Diggle created air Thrusters like under his foots to be more quicker, but because he didn't bother for the control he used more energy than necessary exhausting him more quickly. Nevertheless, he didn't bother and just hasten his path.
'I have to make it! I have to make it in time! I won't repeat the same mistake again!' was all he kept repeat in his head as he flew like a mad man. Due to the anger and anxiousness, his face quite dark at the moment, was showing how worried he was to not making it in time.
But while during his fight with Solomon Grundy he didn't show it, making such powerful lightning fall requires more than half his energy. And because he still couldn't control well his power he wasted more energy than needed.
And while fo now he couldn't feel that he didn't have much energy left, it could be clearly seen by the fact that he was getting slower and slower by second.
Fortunately after less than five minutes he could already see the Wayne Manor. But strange things, smoke was escaping from it. And it wasn't a small one.
That made Diggle more worried than ever so he try to increase his speed and push beyond his limits, but unfortunately, it was at this moment that, his abilities chose to remind him that he didn't have enough energy to keep flying, let alone speeding up.
'Oh sh*' was the only thing he could think about when his face hit the ground. Fortunately, he landed in garden with Bushes to cushion his fall. But nonetheless, it's still hurt a lot.
But that didn't stop him to stand up immediately after. 'My mother is in danger, I can't be lazy and rest just because I'm tired. If I don't arrive on time... I don't want to think about it'
Diggle started to rush at the main door desperately while shouting the name of Marisa and Alfred. But strangely only some loud sound echoing time to time reply to him, but no human voices. And that, made him even more worried. He then anxiously reached the main door and wanted to opening it, but strangely, it was close and honestly Diggle didn't want to waste his time on it. So he stepped back from the door and took a momentum before rushing again to it, but when he was less than five meter away, with his ability he propelled himself to the air as he jumped. Reaching the window from de upper level narrowly. The window, not being bullet proof, broke 'easily' allowing Diggle to get into the Mansion with new scratches.
And by a fortunate coincidence or not hitting into someone when get in.
"Ouche ! Who dare to try to knocking me off ?" said the said person with anger as he started to stand up. While doing so too, Diggle Raised his head to see to who belong that voice that he never heard before.
It was a tall man with long straight hair, wide shoulders and a bit muscular. His face was covered by a white mask with eyes replaced by black cross and two horn on the forefront. He was wearing a coat and jeans in grey with blue fur on the coat. And on coat was inscribed many dates and years in red blood colour. In summary, he was definitely not in Diggle's contact number.
"Who are you?" he growled. It was at this moment that Diggle noticed the second body beside the man, it was his mother! Seeing his mother unconscious and in such a vulnerable state, Diggle started to see red. He then turn his head to face the masked man and spat three word with all the hatred he could feel at this moment "You. Will. Die!"
(A: aren't you a hero of light or something?)
Not understanding why a guy who randomly appear out of nowhere start to promise him a meeting with the death ripper, the masked man found it annoying. "Who the hell are you f***er?!" he shout with anger, but was quickly calm down with the cold reply from his interlocutor "Your worst nightmare"
The way Diggle reply give the man shiver of fear. And from right, he should.
After that, Diggle didn't waste any more time, and gather As much air as he could and shoot it to the man. Unprepared of a such ability the masked man was hit unguarded, and hard. The shot was powerful enough to make him fly to other side of the hallway. While the shot wasn't lethal, it was powerful enough to leave inner injuries and make the man panicked. "Hey, what was that?! What did you do?! Why are you attacking me ?!" he asked with the fear present in his voice, but no one reply back. Diggle just walked quietly to the source of his hatred while blasting him away again and again.
After the third time, the man was already unconscious, but that didn't stop Diggle to play with his body. And only stopped when the body reached the end of the hallway. He then contemplate the man, to see if he recognise him, but despite his good memory, he couldn't remember that person, it was only when he removed the mask that he recognised the man. It was the chief of the first gang who burst into bal room that day. Because by some miracle, all the bodies strangely disappeared that day, nobody could know were they went, if they were still alive or who took them. But one of that were important to Diggle today, because that bastard was daring enough to touch his mother.
He then blasting him away again and made him cross the window. But he wasn't finish at all, before the guy could even hit the ground, he created a cube of lead above the falling man. If the the fall didn't wake him up, when hitting the ground, his leg and arm being squashed by a lead sure did. Follow that, a cry loud enough to make birds fall from there nest start to reason in the hole mansion.

Arikawane Sorry for the late update and that mark my official return ^^. So because I'm working now, it won't be possible in mean time to release everyday, but I'll try. Also, the next chapter will conclude the long Halloween so I can move on a more interesting arc
