The relationship dynamic between Takemi and Musashi had definitely changed the next day. Musashi, who was always adamant not to help cook or wash dishes stood side by side with her Master, drying the dishes that Takemi washed.
When sparring, Musashi seemed to get more passionate when their swords collided and more times than not ended up using too much strength and broke several wooden swords.
She knew that her blade was going dull and Takemi was perfectly fine with only doing katas and strength training to hone his own swordsmanship.
They spent more time down in that underground basement more than they spent in the living room eating or even in their own rooms sleeping.
While Musashi was honing her concept of "Zero", Takemi looked at the Mission rewards for the first time.

Accepting the rewards Takemi felt his status change slightly.
Name: Mikazuchi Takemi
Age: 14
Magic Circuits: 0
Element: Space
Origin: Truth
Magecraft: 0
Skills: 3
Servants: 1
Items: 0
TMP: 105,500
'Hmm? My Skills have increased? And that TMP! Holy crap!', thought Takemi.
"Ding! [System] suggests purchasing Magic Circuits. When purchasing Magic Circuits the quality of the Magic Circuit is random but lower quality Magic Circuits can be upgraded with TMP".
Takemi nodded at the [System's] explanation. He had investigated the Store almost everyday and noticed that the first purchase of Magic Circuits is 100 TMP. The second is 200 TMP. The third is 300 TMP. THe fourth is 400 TMP. THe fifth is 500 TMP.
Each purchase of a new Magic circuit increased by increments of 100 TMP.
And for future reference, a high Quality Saber Servant like Miyamoto Musashi cost 750,000 TMP. If her Mana stat was any higher she would cost more than 1,000,000 TMP.
"[System]! Purchase twenty Magic Circuits for 21,000 TMP".
"Ding! User has exchanged 21,000 TMP for twenty Magic Circuits. Please wait a few seconds for the changes to happen. It is suggested the User sits down for the process".
Takemi sat down, closed his eyes and felt something 'growing' inside of him, Perhaps growing wasn't the right word for it. 'Connecting?' Branching out?'. Whatever it was, he could feel his soul adjusting to the new Magic Circuits and felt a small stream of power flow through each of them.
When Takemi reopened his eyes he saw a plethora of color and light that he didn't notice before, even with the Mystic Eyes of Empyrean. They were beautiful. Shades of blue, green and yellow made up most of the waves of lines of color, however every once in a while a red or purple entered his line of sight.
"[System]? What are they? Why am I seeing them?".
"Ding! It is the mixture of ambient mana and what Magicians of this world call psions and pushions. Mana is a type of magical energy which is produced by the world, the very earth beneath your feet and the very grass you stand upon. It is the life force of the planet, much like od is the life force of all other living things.
Psions on the other hand, are particles that have no physical shape or form and is the fuel Magicians use to power their spells. Magicians possess a "Magic Calculation Area" within their subconscious that automatically reads the contents of a spell and inputs the appropriate amount of psions in to activate said spell. Pushions are similar to psions, however are mainly used by those who practice Ancient Magic, like Kokonoe Yakumo for example".
Nodding at the [System's] explanation Takemi then asked, "[System], would it be possible for me to use the Magic of this world?".
He was 14 right now an in a little over 2 years he would attend a National Magic High School. Takemi had already planned to enter First High School, which was the most rigorous and strict one of them all.
If he couldn't use this worlds Magic, how would he even get in to First High let alone integrate himself into canon.
"Ding! The [System] has a solution. The ability to use Magic in this world is driven by the sole idea that one possesses a "Magic Calculation Area", which reads the spell and activates it using psions. As the User does not possess a "Magic Calculation Area" which reads the spell automatically, reading the spell manually should theoretically have the same effect".
Takemi leaned further into his seat after listening to the [System's] explanation. It did sound cogent, if anything. However spells in this world are made up of letters and numbers and the speed at which a Magician's "Magic Calculation Area" reads the spell is what determines the Magicians quality.
An analogy of the concept was likening a spell to a bar code. The Magic Calculation Area reads the bar code and activates it with an input of psions or pushions.
There was only one problem this idea. That even some of the more simple spells contained more than 30,000 letters of the alphabet. If Takemi attempted to read it well... it would take a lot longer than the several milliseconds it takes for some Irregulars in this world to do.
"Hmm, if only there was-! [System]! Open the Store and bring up the costs for Thought Acceleration and Memory Partition!". Takemi could barely hide his excitement as the [System] brought up two translucent screens.
"Ding! Thought Acceleration 20,000 TMP. Memory Partition 20,000 TMP. Would you like to exchange your remaining TMP?".
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Purchase them both!".
Along with a familiar ding, Takemi felt the two new Magecrafts enter his mind. He could already feel the two 'rooms' contained within his head and if he had pen and paper on him right now, could write two separate essays on two separate subjects at the same time.
Looking around the room he also noticed the apple beside him and realized that if he threw the apple at a 45 degree angle while assuming that the mass of the apple was 250 grams and that he threw it with a force of 11 miles per-!
"Holy sh*t! [System] what the hell was that?". shouted Takemi while holding his head and shaking it furiously.
"Ding! That was the effects of both Thought Acceleration and Memory Partition. The former accelerates ones thought process allowing not just for high-speed calculation but also the mental creation of multi-dimensional diagrams. The latter is used to separate their mind into rooms, each room performing different actions complimenting each other in order to speed up long calculations. Does this answer your-".
"No it doesn't! Why did they both activate so suddenly! I thought that it takes long periods of time to grow proficient at them both!".
"Ding! It appears the User has a talent for Mental Magecrafts that he did not foresee. Be proud User".
Takemi felt strangely happy at the [System's] praise. It was the first positive thing it had said over the past several months and raised his mood even just by a little.
"With these two Magecrafts I should be able to reach the speed of most Magicians in this world! I will even be able to use it during my training of the sword!".
The young man ran to his room and picked up two bokens, each a differing length. He closed his eyes and concentrated on the techniques that Musashi imparted to him. Takemi didn't use Thought Acceleration and only used Memory Partition to concentrate on the swords in his hands and perfecting his stances.
The best thing about Memory Partition was the ability for each room to compliment the others. It wasn't a 1+1=2 kind of thing. It was along the lines of 2x2=4. Each room was harmonizing and synergistic with the other and promoted each thought process.
Sion Eltnam Atlasia could perform perform seven partitions which meant that the amount of information flowing through her head was equivalent to 7x7x7x7x7x7x7, or seven to the power of seven. She could use this to calculate the opponents movements in battle, think out multiple separate ideas at once, and calculate data she gathers.
It was the perfect Magecraft for combat. Although it didn't provide an actual boost in strength it's pure calculative abilities were unmatched.
"Phew. That felt a lot smoother than normal... I wonder what Musashi will say about this?".
Takemi wiped the sweat of his body and sat down shirtless in a meditative position. Legs crossed and eyes closed. He slowed down his heart beat before asking the [System],
"System. With my remaining TMP. Is there anything that I should buy?".
"Ding! [System] recommends purchasing the [Basic Breathing and Walking Technique]. It will help consolidate your swordsmanship and assist in control over your newly acquired Magic Circuits. It is also the foundation for several higher level techniques. It costs 10,000 TMP".
"Exchange it".
With that, Takemi felt one more large amount of information flow into his mind. It was a lot simpler compared to both Thought Acceleration and Memory Partition but, the more he concentrated on it, the more Takemi felt that the [Basic Breathing and Walking Technique] wasn't as simple as it looked.
He stood up and adjusted his breathing according to the technique and felt his Magic Circuits activate. There was no green glow or lines appearing but with every breath he felt more and more connected to the mana and psions in the atmosphere.
Takemi unconsciously started to perform his sword kata and his Though Acceleration and Memory Partition. The four skills complimented each other similar to the way the rooms in Memory Partition did each other. His Mystic Eyes started to glow as well and his sword technique became more fluid, as if like water.
The closest thing anyone could relate this sudden change would be "enlightenment". His moves started off slow, steady and perfect to a T before instantly speeding up causing a billowing wind to coarse through his room. If anyone in the room was in here with Takemi they would feel cuts and slices from the sheer strength of the wind coming from his sword.
It caused his pillows to slice open and a massive gash to appear on the wall. The loud crack resounded throughout the house and even Musashi down in the basement heard it and instantly ran to her Master's room.
Takemi snapped out of this trance and looked around the room with a puzzled expression.
"Wha? What just happened... [System]!? What happened?".
"Ding! [System] has no logical conclusion to the state of mind the User entered. Does this answer you question?".
Ignoring the [System], Takemi just ran his hand along the gash that he left on the wall before a figure came bursting into his room.
"Takemi! Are you alright!?".
Musashi held her Master in her arms and looked at his body for any cuts or bruises. She sighed a sigh of relief and then saw the state of Takemi's room.
"Oh! You finally did it! You awakened you Mystic Eyes without any help! I knew you could do it!".
Takemi looked around the room and saw a shard of glass on the floor and picked it up carefully. He saw that both his eyes were glowing and the red line of the outside of the iris was more prominent than usual before he blinked and it quickly faded.
"This cut on the wall... very nice, Takemi. Changing infinite possibilities for one certain one. That is the power of the Mystic Eyes of Empyrean. That is our power".
The two discussed how Takemi had awakened his Magic Circuits and had to promise Musashi that he wouldn't stop practicing the sword for practicing Magecraft. He assured her that he would only practice the three that he knew, [Thought Acceleration], [Memory Partition] and the [Basic Breathing and Walking Technique].
Musashi eyed him carefully before Takemi gave her a kiss causing her to blush and return to the underground basement to 'purify impure thoughts'.
The latter only looking at the calendar on their fridge and thought, 'Two years. I've got two more years to practice. Then...'.
