Chapter 31: "The Worst truth of her life"
As Joy turned and saw the Man Coming from the backyard, she was shocked to see him, fear😨😨 ran through her veins as she looked at him.
"Lisa, what is he doing here? why you have brought him here? Lisa? Please tell me? Lisa? " asked Joy with fear in her eyes.
Lisa didn't say anything. The man walked forward to Joy and said smiling😇, " Hello! Joy, its been really along time? Right?". And he went near Lisa and put his hand on Lisa's Shoulder😇.
"Just stay away from her😡, and leave us alone, you were fine without us all these years, why you are back now? Huh?" asked Joy with anger😡😡 in her eyes.
" Sister, Please Stop it? you can't talk to him this way, Please be respectful towards him and don't use such harsh words on him", said Lisa with rage 😠in her eyes against Joy.
The Man Interrupted Lisa with wicked Smile on his face and said, " Oh!! Lisa, Let it be, it's not her fault."
" Lisa, don't you remember, what he did to us? you want me to respect him? How can I? Lisa? and Why should I? Huh?" asked Joy as she Went near Lisa in anger.
Lisa busted with anger😡😡 and yelled at Joy, " Because he is our father, and you can't talk to your father like that, just Look, he came back for us, and this is how you treat him?"
Joy just could not believe Lisa was defending the man who left them years ago just for another woman.
As Joy hears Lisa, Joy's could feel the pain, the misery, the hardships, she has to go through because of his father.
Joy could not control her anger, her rage, she yelled back and said," Our Father? Our Father, Lisa? Does he even know what does that word means? If he had known this Word value then, he would not have left us in the first place😡, if he would have known, what a father means to his daughters, he wouldn't have chosen anyone else over us, He does not know Lisa, He does not know, and what did you say? He came back for us? where was he When you, Mama, or me, needed him the most? Where was he then? Huh?"
Joy was angry, tears of pain, sorrows and all that she went through were falling from her eyes.
Lisa came forward and looked at Joy and said with sympathy😟 in her eyes, " Sister, I know you are angry at him, I know what he did was wrong, but he has changed now and he is sorry for that, He feels so sorry for what he did and that's why he came back."
The man came forward and said, Yeah! Joy, she is right, I am so sorry" in a tone that sounds that he does not even mean it.
Joy, looked at him in anger 😡😡and said," would that change anything Lisa? Huh? he made us suffer so much and now after all these years, he came back and said sorry that he doesn't even mean, and I am supposed to forgive him? Do you think Lisa, we could Do that? don't you remember how he left you, how he left mama?"
Lisa look so annoyed😒😒 and angry😡 she does not want to argue with Joy, she looked at her father and then looked at Joy and said, "Oh! Please? Sister, Just stop now, I am done hearing all of your whinings, What dad does was something he should not have done, but he is sorry 😞now, and you should forgive him as I did, but I don't think you are gonna do that, because you are too busy in portraying him as a bad father in front of me, so I just want to get this straight to you, You remember I told you that I had something to tell you after I come back from the trip."
Lisa took a deep breath and then said, "I am going with Dad, I did not go on any trip, I lied to you because I knew If I tell you where I was going, you wouldn't let me, I went to meet Dad in London, and I have decided I am gonna live with him".
As Joy hear this, it felt as if the ground had slipped under Joy's feet😨😨. She just could not believe, Lisa was telling her that she is gonna leave her.
Joy ran to her and with tears in her eyes and said, " Lisa, No, You can't do that to me, You can't leave me😨😢😢, Lisa, Why would you do that?"
"Because he is my dad, and I have every right to live with him, and he is gonna take care of me, my studies and everything that all fathers do", Said Lisa looking at her father with a smile 😇on her face.
Joy Thought 🤔that Lisa was doing all of this because he might have told her that he would take care of Lisa collage fee if she goes with him.
Joy looked at Lisa with love❤ and tears😢 in her eyes and said," Lisa? Is that because of your collage fee, is that Why you are going with him? Lisa? Please tell me? Lisa, Please."
"Lisa looked at Joy and said in a rude tone, " Yes, it is, but its also because, I don't think you can take care of me anymore."
" But Lisa I have arranged all the money for your college fee", said Joy but Before she could say further, Lisa interrupted her looking so annoyed😒😡 and yelled, "Oh! Please Sister, Stop lying to me, I know you have no money for my college fee because You gave that money to that dying Boy father,

Mr Garry( their Father) interrupted Joy and said, " This home? how could you use this home for collateral, for this you need my permission Joy, Because I am the owner of this house, I made your mother sign the paper of this house under my name before leaving, so you can't use this house" said Garry with a wicked😄 smile on his face as if he has won.
Joy looked at Lisa with the hope that she would believe in her and won't leave her and said, " Lisa, Don't Believe him, He is lying, and If even that's true, I would do anything to manage that much money for you.'"
Lisa looked at her in disappointment😒😞😞 and said, " he is not lying, I know Everything and I can't live with you anymore." and Lisa took her luggage and turned to leave😶.
Joy was heartbroken😭😭, she could not let Lisa go away, she held Lisa's hand and begged🙏🙏, " No, Lisa, Please Don't Leave Me, I love you, You can't do this to your sister😭😭🙏, Lisa, Please."
Lisa turned to Joy and said annoyingly, " No, you are not my sister, Okay, and You don't love me, because If you had ever loved me then you would not have given that money away."
Joy looked at Lisa in shock when she heard this, she could believe that her sister could hate😨 her that much and said with tears in her eyes, " Why would you say that Lisa, I am your sister."
Garry interrupted Joy and said, " She is right, Joy, you are not her Sister, you are not even my daughter, So please just leave her alone and let her go away from you, you don't have any right to stop her, You have done nothing fo her."
Joy Looked at Garry in dismay😟😟 and shock. she turned to him and said, " How could you say that? I know you have never loved me, you never even care for me, but still, I am your daughter, how could you say that I am not your daughter."
Garry was so annoyed😒😒😣 , he yelled, " No, you are not my daughter, you are not Lisa's sister, because you are adopted, Your mother Adopted you even when I said no,
even after trying for years after getting married to Carol, we didn't have any child for 5 years, and your mother was so desperate to have a child, so she adopted you, I told her thousand times, I don't want an adopted child, but she never heard me, she adopted you, I never liked you😒😡, you re the reason, why things got bad between me and Carol, she would always fight with me for you, to accept you, I just can't.

Joy ran Inside the house to her Mama's room, she hurriedly opened the cupboard with tears falling 😭😭from her eyes and opened the locker, she looked over all the files and she found it.
Ther was written what Garry told Joy, Joy was broken💔💔, she was shocked, she was in pain, but she still couldn't let Lisa left her all alone.
She ran outside to stop Lisa, It starts raining⛈⛈⛈, Lisa was leaving with her dad, Joy ran to her, she bent down on knees and hold Lisa's leg and begged😭😭😭😭😭," Lisa, please, don't leave me? How I am gonna live without you? even If we don't share the same blood 😭😭but still I love you, Lisa, I had always loved you, Please don't go."
Lisa looked at Joy begging and said, " you love me❤😇? right? sister?" Joy nodded with tears💖😭 in her eyes.
" Then let go of me, let me go, and let me live my life happily," said Lisa and left the home for forever. She did not even turn back to look at Joy for one last time with love that Joy always had for her.
Joy was thunderstruck😨😨, she was stunned, she was heartbroken💔💔💔💔, she broke down in tears😭😭😭😭 , she was crying hard😭, so hard that her tears were not stopping, she was soaking in rain, she was not herself, she was heartbroken, her truth, Lisa's truth, her father's truth all broke her.
She was soaking in rain, it's been an hour, but Joy still could get herself together, the day she was thinking was the best turned to be the worst day of her life, she could out the worst truth about herself and Lisa.
Joy could not bear it, she fainted on the ground outside the house holding that Paper.
Meanwhile, In the Hospital after Joy left, Drake was trying everything to save Carol's life😨😨, He began performing CPR, but there was no response, Carol was not responding, Drake tried to bring her back to life using the defibrillator, but it looks Carol does want to wake up, even after trying for half an hour, he couldn't save her😢😢, but he was not ready to believe it😠, he kept telling her to wake up for Joy, that Joy needs her, but there was no response.
Embrey tried to stop Drake and told him that she is dead, but he kept trying, she stopped him forcefully and asked him to announce the date and time of death.
Drake stood up in dismay and announced the date and time.
" 21st April, 9:32 PM, Mrs Carol Gilbert after being in a coma for 4 years, passed away due to cardiac arrest."
He asked Embrey with tears 😢😢😢in her eyes if Joy answered their call, but there was no answer, told Embrey.
I need to tell her this, Embrey, but I can't face her😨😨, How I am gonna tell her that I couldn't save her Mama said, Drake.

Drake ran outside the hospital to joy's home, It was raining⛈⛈, but he does not care, he kept running🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️.
As Drake reached Joy's home, He saw Joy was lying on the ground soaking in rain😨😨, he went running to her, he held her in his arms and kept calling her name, " joy,? joy"? but Joy was unconscious.
Drake couldn't understand what happened to Joy, why she was lying on the ground outside of her home.
What would happen now? would Joy be able to get through this alone😲?
