"Remember. 9 pm. Be there or I'll be the one listening to one of those boring lectures" Ella winked. I giggle.
"They aren't that boring but I'll be there" I smiled.
"Don't do anything to hurt yourself" warned John.
"I won't!" I protested.
"See, now he's a bully" Ella grinned.
"I am just doing my job, Ella. Do you remember where you are supposed to be now?" John crossed his arms.
"Uh- hm I think... Oh! I have to inform Nora too! Bye Marissa" and then she ran off. Me and John
laughed. She maybe smart and all but she can be quite forgetful.
"My turn to run off. I promised father I'll Be there in his office in a couple minutes but I guess that
had come to a hold" he sighed.
"Oh I'm sorry" I gave a sad smile.
"Nah, it's ok. What would you do without me?" he laughed. I giggled.
"Hmm actually everything" I joked.
"Yeah yeah. Take care sis. Bye" he kissed my forehead and left.
"Row row row your boat with some jelly beans, Damen is bad, greedy, evil and also terribly mean!" I sung and laughed at my funny way of words. Nothing fun to do at all. I leave the greenhouse and head to the stables. Laura might cheer me up. She neighed when I tickled her behind her ear and hugged her.
"Madame, I'm afraid I won't be able to take care of your horse for a while" said a high and harsh voice. I didn't need to turn back and see because I knew who he was. Gordon. He is a worker at the stable and in charge for my horse.
"Why won't you be able to?" I frowned.
"Because she doesn't let anyone come near her! I was cleaning her up until she did this-" he said. I sighed and glance back and almost break into a laugh. A blue bruise was near his cheek and it was shaped as Laura foot. He looked mad. He's bald, has a mustache and looks very tough. And also has a tattoo of a hook on his left arm.
"I'll assure it doesn't happen again" i smiled tightly. He grumbled something and
turned back to his work. I look back at Laura.
"Why did you do that, Laura? Did he hurt you?" I cooed.
She snorted. I laughed and stop myself. I peek behind me and see Gordon still grumbling. I shake my
head.
"I have to go Laura. It's almost sunset and we know how long it takes me to dress up" I giggled. Hugging Laura once more, I take my leave and walk back to my house.
When I enter, right before my eyes, I see the most horrifying thing.
"My Dear! Marissa greet your guests" exclaimed father who stood next to the guests.
