Chapter 17: Chapter 17

When they stepped out of the lobby it was slightly windy, so Cera shivered. 'I should have brought a light coat. It's fall now.' When that thought ran through her mind she didn't notice MinYue removing his coat. She only realized when she felt warmth as it landed around her shoulder. She looked up at him, only to see his side profile. She wanted to reject it, but oh how she didn't want to remove the coat that was wrapped around her. She didn't say anything, but continued to follow him to the apartment building.

MinYue was in heaven, simply being able to lend her his coat made his heart flutter. They walked all the way to the entrance of Paradise Apartments without uttering a single word. He had specifically requested that the best room be given to her.

So when the manager came to drop off the key at 5:20pm while Cera was still in the meeting room he asked again if it was the biggest apartment room available. The manager sighed, and showed MinYue the photos of the room, he had sent in an email earlier, once more before heading home for the day.

Cera and MinYue headed to the 4th floor of the complex. Cera followed him to the room number 408. This would be her new home. Excitement was growing on her face as MinYue handed her the key. She then hurriedly opened the door, and with a quick turn of the knob a large open concept living room, dining room, and then kitchen came into view. She smiled brightly as she waltzed into the room, "Oh my gosh!" She marveled at the wood floor, and fully furnished seating area, then she ran towards the fireplace along the left wall of the room, then she bolted towards the right heading into the dinning room, she looked at the beautiful wood table that was a dark cherry, and then the matching chairs, she then headed into the kitchen. The bright white cabinets along the back wall had a wall oven, then a drawer base, a cooktop, and then the fridge. On the island was the sink and dishwasher. She then spotted the door in-between the dinning room and kitchen. She pointed at it like a little kid, "My room!?"

MinYue was now standing in the kitchen watching her. His heart was beating extremely fast. It was almost dangerous. He watched her open her bedroom door, and then run to the bed, only to fly onto it. He immediately wanted to join her on that bed, but couldn't. She was not his yet.

Cera soon realized how she look in front of her boss that she just so boldly declared that she would help with his burdens. She jolted off the bed and her cheeks turned bright red, "I am sorry. I don't know what came over me!" she bowed deeply.

While her head was down a pair of polished shoes came into sight. She raised her head to see MinYue standing very close to her. She was surprised with how close he was to her, so she took a step back.

"Cera." the corners of his lips raised slightly, but he found no words. She was just so darn cute that he had lost control of his body once more, and found himself standing right in front of her.

After hearing the way he said her name just now Cera had no clue what to do or say. She couldn't tell if he was mad or what. His tone of voice was so hard to decipher. Just as she was racking her mind as what to say MinYue suddenly let out a yawn.

She immediately looked up to see his cheeks somewhat pink from having let out that yawn at such an awkward time. She quickly jumped on this opportunity to switch the conversation, "Hey MinYue, would you accompany me for my first meal here before you leave?"

He cleared his throat before speaking, "If you insist." he tried his best to not sound thrilled.

Cera then pulled out her phone, and went online to order her favorite pizza from Hot n'Fresh Pizzeria. "I hope your okay with pizza?"

"Anything is fine."

Cera then looked down at her phone as she was tapping on several different menu items trying to figure out what he would want to eat, while making her way back into the living room. She thought it would be best if they went into a room that wasn't so private. 'Why am I acting like this with him?' she asked herself as she sat down on the ottoman near the fireplace.

MinYue turned out of her room, followed her to the living room, and sat on the couch. He honestly didn't know what to say at the moment, so he just sat there and listened to her mumble to herself about what she wanted to order, and how much it was going to cost. He found himself smiling at her actions, but the moment she looked up he tried his best to act neutral.

"MinYue, are you okay with a chicken BBQ pizza?"

MinYue nodded his head.

"Thanks for staying with me for supper." Cera flashed him a bright smile.

"No problem."

"Okay..." Cera lowered her head, and clicked the place order button on her phone screen, "Wow they're fast tonight." She faced her phone screen to show MinYue the progress bar, "It's already been received by them, and they are starting to prep it."

"Hmm, impressive." MinYue had never ordered fast food before, let alone pizza so he didn't know how he really felt about the speed of this place, so he just agreed with her.

"MinYue…." she paused for a second after saying his name, "Thanks for today. Showing me around the company, taking me to lunch, showing me my apartment, and now eating with me. I really appreciate this opportunity to work for someone like you. I intend to keep that promise I said earlier. If you ever need anything, I am here to assist you."

MinYue's eyes widened a bit before he nodded his head once more, "Thank you, Cera."

"It's my job!" She smiled at him once more, but MinYue felt like she was trying to tell him that she was only ever going to be there for him as an assistant. So his mood dropped instantly, and he didn't respond.

Cera thought that he didn't believe her for some reason so she tried to keep up the small talk, "So MinYue, may I ask what is your favorite thing to do after a long day at work?"

"I usually hit the gym, or attend business meetings."

Cera's eyes widened, and ended up saying her thoughts out loud, "Really? That's it? You don't play video games with friends, or go out to the bar to blow off steam?"

MinYue shook his head no.

"What, are you for real?! Okay, one of these days I am going to take you out, and we will have fun! Okay?" Once again MinYue didn't know what to say so he remained silent. Cera then instantly started to plan out this adventure.
