Chapter 59: What Will You Do?

"I..." Yu Qiao cannot form any coherent word so he can respond to the other man with confidence until he heard Mo Lihua spoke near the man.

"Why are you holding my phone? Give me that."

Yu Qiao can hear the clear annoyance on her voice that made him somewhat feel much better. Still not enough though to cover or overshadow the man's statement regarding his clear closeness with Mo Lihua.

He cannot even ask, where Fei Yan is. Yu Qiao's mind immediately jumped to the worse conclusion.

Then what about Yang Chen? Should he let the guy know?

Yu Qiao wants to know who the man is, but he does not want to be called a nosy buddy especially if his godfather consented.

The mere mention of Mo Che communicating with the man directly is already a fact that Mo Lihua's relationship with the other is clearly more than friends.

With the way he mind is thinking now, Yu Qiao does not trust himself to be around Mo Lihua or to meet anyone else.

"Hello, Brother Qiao?" Mo Lihua called him out, before asking, "Where is Yang Chen?"

Yu Qiao cleared his throat before answering, "He is inside. Lihua, is your father really aware that you are with a man right now?"

"Yeah. He will be with me for a while. It is actually complicated, I will just tell you more about it later." Mo Lihua replied softly. "I will be there shortly..."

"Lihua, do not worry. I actually called to tell you that I need to go now. Something came up." Yu Qiao just wants to go home. He felt helpless at the same time tired dealing with things that he cannot gamble and control.

"Is everything alright?" Mo Lihua questioned with concerning.

"Everything is absolutely fine." He assured forcing to be cheerful. Yu Qiao always knows that it felt so wrong to feel different to the woman that you always considered as your sister.

It should be good to stay as far as away as possible so he does not need to betray the trust of the people he greatly respect or owe.

"Oh... Take care. I will just contact Yang Chen to tell him that I will be there shortly..." Mo Lihua muttered but did not hand up. "Is everything really ok?"

"Affirmative. Really got to go now. Bye." Yu Qiao hangup the phone before going to the restaurant's parking lot to drove home.

Yu Qiao was able to think a lot while driving. Clearly, Mo Lihua is doing great on her own, so he should really not meddle.

If Mo Che is also supporting her, Yu Qiao can just respect their decisions. He just does not want to think that the man on the other line is her future husband, the bitterness in his heart is starting to get unbearable.

If that is really the case, what can he do? It is normal for rich families to have arranged marriages to strengthen power. So it is not surprising if Mo Che considered the same for Mo Lihua.

Yu Qiao got inside the house with his mind still thinking about future possibilities. His plan when he graduates and helps with his father's company.

He also considered ways to finally finish his relationship with Zang Fei as it is starting to be a hassle.

"Ah, I need a drink." Yu Qiao noted as he walked towards the bar. The house is very silent thus his voice, though he spoke the usual, it is relatively louder.

The Yu family house is not as big as Mo's. They only have three servants as well that only caters to important necessities. After all, the servants just need to take care of two people.

When their company almost got bankrupt, his father still kept the old home. It should be a struggle though since it is the same house, where his mother died.

Hell, his father still sleeps in the same bedroom.

He misses his mother, but not enough to be depressed about it. Just like his father, that he just found currently drinking om the bar, probably for a while now.

"Welcome home." Yu Han greeting his son slurry as he raised his glass at him.

Yu Qiao frowned, "You've been drinking alone since earlier? You did not even wait for me." He stated with mock hurt. In all honesty, though he is not a heavy drinker, he wants to always accompany his father when the old man is drinking.

"Hmm. Something came up." Yu Han replied as he raised his head to look at the ceiling as if thinking intently, "Qiao, I am tired." He then added before realizing a helpless sigh.

"Then rest father. I am the only one you are supporting, why do you even work so hard?" He asked.

"Why you say? Makes me wonder..." Yu Han lay his head on the counter top of the bar before closing his eyes, an act that he is resting.

Yu Qiao's father is supposed to be as old as Mo Che. However, Yu Han looks way older which only means he is not taking care of his self properly.

"Father, I can already help you. Graduation is in less than a month now. It is not a big deal if I skip some days." Yu Qiao offered.

This is not the first time he offered, but his father always refuses. He just hopes that this time even though drunk, he will see reason. After all Yu Han already accepted the fact that he is tired.

Yu Han chuckled, but his eyes are still closed, "Thank you, son. You know, let me ask you something. If we already lost everything, what will you do then?"
