Chapter 25: Special
"Wanyin – " Lan Xichen, on top of Jiang Cheng, called as he stared at the man beneath him. (A.N: oi oi. My mind is already running at mach 20 for 'various' thoughts XDXDXD)
But, before he could continue, he felt something struck his chest and, the next thing he knew, he flew back inside his room as fast as how he was thrown outside.
Lan Xichen's face is blank despite falling hard on his back in the marbled floor (A/N: oww...). For a sect leader of a prominent sect and clan, famous for being refined and jaded and well-cultured and – (alright, go and use all the positive adjectives xD) to be thrown back and forth outside then inside his very own room in the very tranquil and peaceful and serene mountains of Gusu... he thought, bitter, as he felt he could cough mouthful of blood because of his situation right now.
A disappearing ghost behind him while a very alive sect leader that always looked angry is now murderously glaring at him.
He grimaced. "W-Wanyin – " he said.
But, like earlier, before he could talk a purple lightning – Zidian whip, went towards him. He immediately rolled away. He's not an idiot to want to be struck by that merciless whip again – he thought as dark lines covered his face when he felt his chest – where the whip hit him, starting to go numb.
"Wanyin, let me explain – " he told him and dodged again when the Zidian went to strike him.
Seeing Jiang Cheng's dark as the night face, ignoring his plea and not listening to anything, he bet his all and started to explain.
"I really am unwell, but not because I'm still holding a torch for Jin Guangyao... heck, I can't even imagine me going after the guy - !" he exclaimed, then paused. His face went serious. "I'd only go after you – whoa!" he exclaimed and moved his body to the side when the Zidian narrowly missed him.
He gulped, his face paled when he saw the marbled floor was cracked by the whip. He's not an idiot to think there's no force more applied to that attack.
"Wanyin!" Lan Xichen called and turned to Jiang Cheng who's standing a few feet away from him. "I am telling you the truth!" he said. "Jin Guangyao may be important to me, but he's not special to me like you!" he said and looked straight in his eyes. "Sure, he may make me feel special, but – " he said and took a deep breath as he felt he's having a hard time to breathe again because of the emotions welling up inside him. " – but... you're the only one I want to make you feel special." He said and raised his head as he smiled at him. "Because I love you." He added, his vision started to get blurred because of his tears welling up in his eyes.
When he didn't hear him speak, his tears finally started to fall.
