Chapter 10: Wish
"WHAT?!" Jiang Cheng's voice echoed on the walls of the Lotus Pier as he suddenly stood up from his chair, making it tumbled back. "Lan Xichen disappeared?!" he said, shocked, as he looked at his disciple who delivered of the news.
"Yes, sect leader!" the disciple answered and respectfully bowed.
Jiang Cheng's forehead knotted. His disciples fixed the chair, but he ignored them. He's deeply thinking.
Why does it seem like things lately are coinciding to his wishes? He thought, remembered that one time he's wishing for Jin Ling to go to Lotus Pier to train with his disciples and his nephew really appeared after an hour.
There's also one time that when he's thinking of how delicious the Emperor's Smile and wanted to have a drink that night, Wei Wuxian appeared, bringing a total of 10 jars. He's holding two while the others are with Lan Wangji and on Little Apple's back.
And now this – he's still embarrassed to face Lan Xichen because of that 'smile' of his (JC) he showed to him. Not long after and Lan Xichen really disappeared.
He finally turned to his disciples. "Do you know where he went to?" he asked them. And how long will he be gone? He added, but didn't voice out the question.
He still has to overcome this embarrassment memory, or else he won't face the other Twin Jade of the GusuLan Sect.
The disciple shook his head. "No, sect leader." He answered. "We just heard that the GusuLan Sect Leader is missing for two days now." He explained.
Jiang Cheng nodded. "You are dismissed." He told him, then sat back on the chair his other disciples just finished fixing.
His disciples immediately went back to their training. He looked at the lotus lake.
"But..." he muttered, his face went soft as he gently looked at the logo of their sect. "... I think I'll miss that smile of his." He said and smiled, remembered how much Lan Xichen helped him in the past.
If only I didn't 'smiled' at him... he thought, his face went red and he covered his red face with both his hands.
I really have to overcome this embarrassment!
