Chapter 7: Custom Wristbands for a little Fella

Eren, looking out for the water flowing in the dark, was close to falling asleep while the people of the village were returning to the village in front of them.

It was hard to sleep, especially among people who were gossiping. But he tried to try it on his own.

He didn't see his grandfather behind, looking his back with a smile.

He figured even though he didn't care the things happened little bit ago.

"I had probably got a good result. I'm turning into an absurd fantasy story main character, but I don't like it.

Anyway, Yuzu didn't ask me about these oddities.

Eren was the opposite of how calm he was from the outside. In fact, he was dying inside, his heart was shaking with fear. Because the name on that stone was Eren Han Kugyo. "EREN!" it wrote.

So his sexy mother Yuzu, of course, had noticed.

Eren loved her mother very much. She understood that she was not her real mother in this world, but he thought this wouldn't change too much.

He had already left a mother in ta old same Earth, and important thing was the feelings of this important person who loved himself.

And that's why he did a drowsiness show now. He looked really sleepy from outside to not attract reaction.

"What would ı say If Yuzu asks me why my name was Eren? I don't want to destroy the perfect motherhood of a young girl like her. I don't want to hurt her.

"How do I tell?"

"Will she love me after I confess like right now?"

"Would she throw me out?"

Eren was very worried. Discovering the feeling of been loved permanently and unrequently for two years, he even started to feel nice! But after today he wasn't even sure if Yuzu would ever let him go.

Feeling like "really loved" for the first time so naively, he didn't want to lose it, and the stressed little Eren really did get down on the bridge to the village that he had adopted as his home.

After a while, he really fell asleep on his mother's shoulder.

While he sleep in that night, wrapped in Yuzu's warm arms with the smell of her angelic body, unlike what he felt inside, he had the nicest dreams since he have for a long time.

...

With his head leaning against her mother's shoulder, Eren couldn't see his grandfather. But his grandfather stared at Eren considerably.

He has reviewed a lot of things since he saw that his grandson had more than one elemental predisposition. He pondered many things and was lost in his thoughts.

What he was most concerned with was that he should not leave the village without the basic education.

If his grandson went outside too early to study or work, he would never be as good as her daughter Yuzu. He could even be a bad man with a lack of decency and love.

Previously, Yang had been found in really crowded cities. In fact, he came to this village about thirty years ago. But before that, he had always lived in big cities before settling here.

But the town now he lived, made him a bit like the Grandis. In the end more than two decades had passed. The purity of the people in this village and the extreme pride of the village for Old Yang almost turned him into a real Grandi.

He didn't trust the outside, and he was actually a little bit scared. As an older man, he had seen too many bad things. The prejudices against the outside of the village in his mind and some other plans he had made his thoughts about Eren too naïve and pure.

After thinking over it, He raised his head and looked at the new moon above. It should be around six o'clock. Old Yang called Yuzu;

"I'll take a stroll. Don't worry. I will be fast."

The old man Yang turned around and fastly crossed the bridge again. He kept going up in zigzags.. He went through the same path in the jungle for the altar. The sun on the hill had disappeared as he entered the small road to almost enter the altar.

*Sacred Altars?*

He also listened to Munmer, who said the altars were very special and that the Altars had come out of his Sky God Atlas' hands. But Old Yang actually knew the truth.

These altars were quite new. Their origins were based on a few centuries ago. Maybe maxly they could be up to a thousand years.

When Old Yang was younger, he read it in an old book in his family library.

Now it was a little funny in his heart when he think over the times he was a little boy after so many years. A strange and cold feeling covered his heart and deepened the old man's bad feelings. He was about to turn again and give up. He was neither "young" "nor "middle-aged" anymore. How fast the time flowed ha!

"Ahh!"

His heart was aching.

"Getting used to these pains that scared me in the past is already a sign that I am getting older." he whispered to himself. He went into the altar, went to the stone to do something that no one in the village would consider doing and actually didn't know. Old Yang wasn't even sure if the people of big cities could do what he is almost going to do?

He looked at the area inside, with the light touch of moonlight and it's sweet lights still entering the altar.

He had to make sure nobody was there first. But after checking everything he whispered to the stone

"The Altar of the Atlas, the Mistic Altar. Open!"

Unlike the rest of the sentence, the word he said were spoken in a foreign and enigmatic language. if Eren was there at the time, he would know that the word wasspoken his own old language. Just as in the same words that Yuzu used to heal on the same day, the only thing that works and which is Eren's language was "Open '.

Surprisingly, his old man knew this secret-word after a lucky discovery of years ago in a book. The only inportant thing of that old book was just this code. Even Yang didn't know some strange thing from an old book would work in real world.

Funny thing is, he didn't discover the truthfull side of the secret in his childhood. No, it was years later when he left his home and came to this far away Grandi Village.

..

After about twenty seconds, the adjacent trees were slowly moving around the opposite side of the entrence, and a copy of the same entrance formed as a new tunnel. It was apparently another corridor that was perfectly flat and slightly sloped down to underground.

Old Yang walked down the corridor which is going about 300 meters down from the original ground level.

The first seconds he shuddered in the dark tunnel. But he hasn't been so scared because he's been here too many times all these years.

When he came down a few meters down, he was now in a tunnel underneath the ground and the walls were completely covered with earth and thick roots. It was pretty scary but impressive at the same time.

Just like the walls of the altar room, and especially the roof dome, this place seemed too perfect to be able to escape from the human hand.

Elder Yang entered the room, which seemed very little in close. He had entered another old altar room, strangly ten times larger altar rock. Strangely stone was almost the same as above, but it was larger and more gray. While thinking and observing the details of the rock he suddenly thought; "Who cares, it is just a rock!!"

Of course, around the rock, there were wristbands similar to that of his daughter Yuzu.

The old man had found this place 18-19 years ago, and had given his daughter a bracelet.

Although Yuzu was prone to the element of light, she had never been able to educated or develop her talent. She couldn't go beyond the beginning of her talent for pure light.

So giving him the ability to use her wristband, made her more comfortable, and made the Old Yang the most proud father in da Sisna Village.

After many years in the past, her daughter was now a village healer. Everyone in the village relied on her and cared about her very much.

"Han!"

He had finally a grandson. Now Yang was planning to give the bracelet to Eren. He jumped to the Rock with a few steps.

There were a bunch of bracelets on top of the rock in a sour tone of gigantic and gray. They were all in different sizes, shapes and colors.

The only different detail on the Rock was for the light element. There were two bracelets that were identical to those of the Yuzu. He took one but he didn't touch the other one.

This wristband probably belonged to a 4.5-year-old boy named Dan, who tested his ability before his granddaughter. Except this one, that belonged to someone else, Old Yang gathered those belonged to his grandson. Yang sighed while staring at the little Grandi boy's bracelet.

Sometimes the secrets could have lost their meaning unless they were protected. It didn't seem right to give this bracelet to anybody, even to it's real owner.

Even if he came back here tomorrow, he knew the remaining bracelet wouldn't be anymore and dissappear in mystery.

He also understood that these bracelets only appeared here when blood was poured into the stone above and the elemental predisposed to someone. But he never understood how or why. In fact, he didn't know what kind of power this great altar had. He couldn't hurt the rock when he tried to break this big rock a few years ago.

After many years, he gave up on hoping that he could learn mystic unknowns, and started to leave the dark room without much distraction.

Old Yang turned around and walked towards the room above the hallway.

He had not spent long time in the dark place. Merely a little visit the room without any trouble. Like he did in the past many times, maybe hundreds of times. But this was a simple altar in the small village of Sisna, in a small area, in a small part of the Kelewan Territory and in a small Continent of this World.

Even if it truly exist, the information which explain everything, wouldn't have been on the altar of such a remote village. He was truly logical and not being greedy.

As mysterious as it may have been, Yang had spent years examining every inch of this altar. Also he was too old for these mysteries.

A little later, when he lay next to his granddaughter at home, he was feeling very happy that he had bracelets and news brought to home.

...

A cold but sunny morning.

Eren got up at 5:00 in the morning like usual. Her mother would sleep on the bed next to his weird grandfather for an hour more.

He sometimes think in his mind some stuff like dreams of flying, being a superhero and saving people, sometimes thinking of the moment of his own death. It was a nice method to eat time in ta mornings.

..

Eren felt bad that he had always dreamed of things he couldn't have or couldn't achieve. As a two-year-old baby at that moment, he didn't have much choice. But he decided to think less in the future for a healthy adulthood.

He finally got bored and approached his mother. Almost at the end of the bed where three people lay together, the beautiful Yuzu looked like an angel. Adorable facial features seemed to hide something funny or naughty. She was probably having a good dream. Eren slowly approached her mother's body and began to sit with his back against her mother's stomach.

He looked up at his mother's face and startled suddenly.

"I call her a mother, I accept her as family, maybe even ı am in love with her deep down and ı don't accept this for now ...but she doesn't even know my real name. That's unfair to the person who raises me."

"Mom"

He gently called with a little whisper and paid attention not to wake up his grandfather.

"Mom"

With his second call, his mother opened her eyes suddenly. Her face was astonished but Yuzu calmed down when she saw Eren.

"Han?"

Eren was sure that he wouldn't feel well if he didn't talk to Yuzu urgently.

"Mom, I have something to tell you. I want to tell you how my name is different in the stone."

His mother looked at him like she'd just noticed this detail. "Really, wasn't it just Han...Ahh..now ı remember it"

She couldn't follow up exactly the first few seconds as she just wake up, but she understood everything in seconds.

"Your name?"

The young woman had forgotten everything about the stone, focusing on the characteristics and details of Eren. She even stopped breathing for a while in that moment.

But as Eren continued with his speech, Yuzu leaned her shiny head against their pillow and listened the young boy talking quickly.

"Mother, I know I'm a strange person. I can't tell you why exactly, because I don't know it exactly. ... well .. I, ..Eren as my name, and I like to use that name."

Eren immediately summarized the difference of the name written on the stone. He couldn't believe her mother didn't notice. Nevertheless, he was happy to be able to say what was going on inside his head.

The bewildered green eyed woman knew that her son was different from other children. She felt compelled to tell his son something. His son was very clever and good enough to deserve the truth.

"My son, we call thee the way you want from us, because the altar has already written your name with a long preference. Its because you wanted to use both Eren and Han in your heart.

As she stared at the relaxed face of his son, she realized how much she loved him. And she even wanted to say some unspoken facts.

This time Yuzu started telling some secrets from two years ago;

"I have to tell you something important ..."

"I needed buckets to water a few saplings I planted two years ago. I went to the river as I was at the exit of the village.

Yuzu adopted a child named Eren, and now said the summary of the history of the past. How she found his (biological) mother, carried her home, and gave Eren birth.

Being the healer of the village and also she is the one found the pregnant woman, she made possible the birth went succesful. She was also concerned and took care Eren in that night ,but when she lay down in the morning and woke up again, she couldn't find the original mother!

"... In short, your mother disappeared for some reason I didn't know, so after that I had you. I found you very sweet and-

Eren interfered; "-I don't like the fact that you talk like we are not real family. You're my family and thats it!

I just opened the name topic so you don't doubt me today. But thats all. I like you.."

The little boy was so winded. It was quite difficult to talk like a normal adult in a two-year-old body. He was trying to remember the words he didn't know, sometimes he couldn't say the words in the way he wanted. That's why he stayed gasped.

Moments later, the mother and son got up and made a good breakfast.

When the old Yang wake up, it was at six-thirtyin the morning.

Eren went to the backyard because he could no longer bad at walking outside :). He cut a few of the green onions that were planted on a small area. When he went in, her mother had already brought red lotus bread.

It was the best breakfast for a modern time-dimention traveler youngster.

Eren was finally losing his worries and feel relieved in da magical world. He wanted these normal happy moments would contunie forever, but this magical world had different plans for him.
