Chapter 18: The end has come
Having packed all of their most prized possessions they looked around their home for the last time, this had been their house and now they were going to be moving away to a new home.
While mother and daughter were relive memories of the past, Joseph went towards a window at the front of the house and as he moved the curtain ever so slightly he noticed movement happening outside. The city guards were moving in quickly and the street itself was being blocked off.
This is trouble thought Joseph as he watched the movements occurring outside on the street, he soon moved away from the window and returned to the two awaiting women.
"Do you have a back door into the house? Because we can't go through the front anymore" - Joseph had just reached the room when he questioned Ann's mother.
Ann's mother nodded.
"The door in the kitchen leads to the small vegetable garden" - Ann's mother quickly answered wondering why her daughter's Young Master would ask such a question.
"We need to leave now, the commotion from earlier must have triggered something and now the city guard is surrounding us" - A serious tone emanated from Joseph.
"System could you show me any items that cause explosions? Or something that remove any evidence of our being here?" - Surely a system such as the Ascension Merchant would have something capable of doing so, well that's Joseph's thought while waiting for the system reply.

The first three items shown to Joseph aroused a certain curiosity within him, the vast differences in the prices of the three items displayed so he called for the system to bring up a short description to get a better understanding of what he was seeing.
(Item - Elemental Shredder - 25 AME
Definition: A small elemental creature from a distant world, it is playful in nature when in the company of other elemental creatures. If it finds itself with no others of its kind in its immediate surroundings it will trigger a hidden ability Rage. Rage causes the small elemental creature to forcefully evolve into an Elemental Goliath. Warning elemental death upon exhaustion.)
(Item- Statue of Summoning - 1 AME, Host Blood Sample
Definition: A statue of unknown material capable of opening a spatial path across the myriad of realms and attracting a random creature. An additional cost of the Hosts's blood sample is required to bind the creature to the hosts will. Creatures summoned will vary and there is no guarantee to the outcome.)
(Item - Goblin Star Bomb - 150 AME
Definition: The epitome of goblin stupidity. The Goblin Star Bomb was created during the reign of Krianuil Ovzate III primarily to destroy his enemies, he ended up destroying his own kingdom instead. Due to the nature of goblin intelligence and shrewdness the size of the explosion may range from losing a couple of fingers, destroying one's kingdom and possible planet termination. RIP Goblins)
"......" - Joseph was left stunned reading what he was seeing, of all the items he had seen thus far he had been surprised the most by the Goblin Star bomb.
He definitely would not be getting that, far too dangerous.
Sure they may be in a slightly dire situation, but he had not gone brain dead so why risk himself for such a strange item. With that thought in mind, Joseph also started to wonder if there were any goblins still alive or if they had killed themselves all off by now.
"System I'll buy three Statue of Summoning please" - Joseph made a decision and risk to see what come from the summons.
He was not quite sure how dangerous the Elemental Shredder would be so better to go with maybe the least dangerous of the three options he first looked at. While he could have had a better look at other items, time was running out.
"Ok ladies stay by the back door and get ready to leave quickly" - It was time to make a move so Joseph went over to make sure Ann and her mother were ready to leave.
"Were ready!" - Came a quick reply both excitement and a bit panic could be found in the voices.
Joseph approached the door and activated his Gaze of Deception and opened the door.

As the city guards and their commander had finished the barricade they all looked towards a single house.
They had only been told to set up the barricade and remain on high alert.
Suddenly the sound of a door opening could be heard and the house they were all looking at was slowly opening.
While the guards looked on, none could see the inside of the house. The house seemed to be shrouded in darkness, a darkness that seemed to devour any light source.
From this darkness several tendrils emerged and seemed to move outwards from the front door, fear could be seen on the faces of the guards.
There were many things that existed in the world, but most city guards mostly lived within their respective cities having never experienced the horror's their world and others had to offer.
From within the darkness a single man emerged and he took his time to look both sides of the street having been blocked.
"What is the meaning of this?" - A heavy and guttural sound emerged from underneath the hood of the cloaked figure.
*THUCK*
Before the city commander could reply, a clumsy and very afraid guard pulled the trigger on his crossbow and fired the bolt in the direction of the hooded man.
