Chapter 3: School
In the small room of DFHS boy's dormitory, Steven had woken up from his daze. The expression in his eyes spoke of the immense anger, anguish and a sense of revenge from them.
He could relate with the previous Steven's immense effort and hard work he dedicated to change his situation, but everything went in vain due to a rich guy's excessive bullying.
Life was cruel and this was proved with the situation of previous Steven. Now his body was taken over by Steven from Earth, whereas both the souls had integrated themselves to form a special link.
Steven could also feel all the sadness that the previous one felt when being humiliated in front of all the other students. He took a vow that he would surely take revenge though it may take time as you know Revenge is best served cold.
But now he has to freshen up, there is not much time left for the Freshers Initiation ceremony. He gets off the bed and collects his clothes after that goes towards the bathroom.
By now the bathroom queue had died down and some rooms were empty. He went to one empty bath and started his work. But the instant he removed his clothes in his upper body there was a surprise waiting for him.
A Blue Cat's Eye Locket with a silver chain was hanging in his neck. "Huh, how did this come here, wasn't this locket from Earth then how did it get here. Could it be?" He palmed his head as if he forgot something basic and murmured "Yes, every web novel always had a catalyst that helps the soul to transmigrate, maybe this locket is the reason I am still living. Wow, what an Irony, the thing which caused my death is also the reason I am alive now, heh no one can understand fate."
After this, his lean body was uncovered, though he was lean his biceps were well developed. This might have been because of previous Steven who used to do physical labor from a small age. Now he had well-developed biceps and a lean figure with dark black hair and dark brown eyes.
He was good looking but not too handsome, though he did not have any problems with it. After checking out his new body he quickly finished off his morning duties and finished getting ready. He was fairly high and the clothes fit him very well, he liked his new body more now.
Finishing up his other works in his room and grabbing something to eat, he quickly got out and started out of the dorms. He was getting late and he really needed to move it now.
Coming out from the dorms, the ground of the school was mostly empty with some students still moving towards the Auditorium. He did not know where the Auditorium was anyway, so it was easy for him to follow them.
Reaching the auditorium he quickly found his place and got himself seated. Though he knew the ceremony would be boring, nothing could be done about it. The Dean of DFHS would be the initiator and there was a rumor that he could remember every student he ever laid his eyes on.
Steven did not want to come to his notice due to being absent from the ceremony. Thus he reached the ceremony thinking of his future.
Well as per expectations the ceremony was boring and the Dean had given a long speech about cultivation and how every one of the students was the future of this planet. Well, this initiation still took more than an hour to complete and immediately after this he received his class destination along with the others.
Steven came out with everyone and following the queue to reach his class.
Just after entering the class he was greeted with two rows of long desks and chairs. This was the seating arrangement that was prominent in the school. Each class had a row of girls and another of boys sitting in their own rows. The girls were seated in the row next to the door and thus the boys were mostly on the other side where there were windows.
Steven was not very interested in the class. Thus he chose to stay away from the unimportant people of the class and sat down at the last desk of the boy's row just next to the window.
Within some time all the students had arrived and seated themselves. A slightly fat chubby guy sat next to Steven. He looked decent and Steven could not find any malice from the guy's eyes which were light brown in color.
"Hi, I am Ray, Ray Evans. What's your name?" asked the fat guy.
"I am Steven" he replied in a calm way.
"You look really out of place, did not make any friends yet?" asked Ray.
"No, it's just slightly new for me here" he replied. He continued and asked, "You know someone here at school?"
"Yes, I have some of my old buddies here at school. Hey, why don't you join us for lunch? That way I could introduce them to you and you would also make friends quickly. So what ya say?" asked Ray in a friendly manner.
"I won't be troubling you right?" hesitated Steven. But Ray denied his hesitation immediately saying "No man, we would be happy to make another buddy. So lunch at Cafeteria is fixed, okay, cool."
Just then a bulky man in his 30's entered the class. He went to the teacher's podium and stood in an authoritative way.
"Hello, students! I am your homeroom teacher Marvik Peirce, a Qi Condensation 7 Star Cultivator. I will teach you basic cultivation knowledge for the first month. The first month is for you to get the hang of Body Strengthening basics and transform yourself into a Body Cultivator of 1st Star by this month at the least." said Marvik.
"Okay so let us start the basic description of Cultivation.
As you all know, "Energon" is the basis of all cultivation and it is spread around the environment, the quantity is still not too dense. The requirement of high-level cultivators cannot be fulfilled by the amount available in the environment, as the density is less and they require huge quantities of Energon for their cultivation.
Thus, all high-level cultivators use Beast Cores which is the largest source of energon. As you know after the catastrophe the reproduction of beasts has improved by at least 5 times that of before. And thus they are the largest source of energon in the current world including energon crystals which are mined from underground mines.
This confers that rich families, as well as cultivation families, have better resources, which are not readily available to you.
You have to keep in mind that inequality comes from power, strength, and money. And this is because of the foundation of your Ancestors. The ones who have better Ancestors have a better foundation and will cultivate more quickly compared to the common man.
You have to depend on the resources given by the City Government and your own Strength for proving yourselves worthy.
Only the ones who are worthy are recruited by Large Families as well as the Army or even the Alliance's Protectorate, the strongest of the Humans who fight the most brutal beasts for the survival of the humans.
For body cultivators, you have to absorb energon from the environment to your body and strengthen it. The procedure is simple, you will absorb the energon through your pores in the body and it will start strengthening your skin first for the 1st star, then it will move for the muscles and other places.
From 1st to 9th star the places strengthened will be skin, muscles, bones, blood, heart, brain, lungs, kidneys and finally, the dantain in your lower pelvic region will be strengthened by each star stage of the body cultivation.
For today, you will be going to your rooms and sit in any naturally relaxing posture and start absorbing the energon from the environment. This will be your task of the day and tomorrow we will discuss any issues that you face in your cultivation.
The class is dismissed for today." finished Marvik.
"Hey Steven, let's go" Ray spoke instantly after Mr. Marvik left the class.
"Okay, Okay let's go." Saying so Steven and Ray both started off towards the cafeteria while joking with each other and laughing out loud.
Who knew that the friends that just got acquainted would someday create Legends in the world, well this is still far away in the future though.
