Chapter 1: Chapter 1
As I walk through the forest with my mom I pick up all the amazing sounds and smells. I listen to the birds chirping and the sound of a waterfall nearby, I smell fresh dewy redwood and the fresh water of the waterfall. "Terra, come back here sweetheart." My mom calls me from behind myself. "Okay mommy!" I call back before I start walking back. Just before I reach my mom a dirt colored wolf comes up from behind her and bites her head off. I scream before running away back into my house and closing the door. I turn around and see the dirt colored wolf stalking towards me. I scream before the wolf hurdles towards me and everything goes black.
I wake up hearing a scream reverberating around the room. I put my hands on my body making sure I was really there. It was just a dream I told myself. I check the phone next to my bed to see it is 6 am. I sigh before getting up and going to shower. I have been having nightmares about that since I was ten when it happened. 8 years ago. I turned on the shower and hopped in. I got out quickly and walk to my closet to pick out my clothes for the day. I decide on a green tank top crop top, some black high waisted ripped jeans and some green velvet boots that goes to my ankle and had some heel on them. I added pieces of gold jewlery to my ensemble and put on a little mascara and some clear lip gloss before grabbing my backpack and running downstairs.
I see my older brother Michael sitting on the stool eating a bowl of cereal. I walk up to pick an apple off the fruit bowl and eating while grabbing my keys. "Terra! You didn't even say hi!" Michael yells at me. "HI!" I yell before closing the door and walking into the garage. I hopped into my Dark Green 2018 Jeep Wrangler. I drive to Lily's house where Claire and her were waiting outside. "TERRAAAAAAA!" Lily yells at me while getting into the car. "Lilyyyyy, stop shouting!" Claire yells at her from the back seat. I roll my eyes and turn on Bulletproof by La Roux. We jam out for a bit before we end up at Goldarce High. I parked my car and we all get out of the car and then started walking to the brain torture zone. Us werewolves get a lot of gawking from the human kids since we have naturally good looks. I get it the most though since my green eyes. It is quite rare in the wolf community too.
I walk up to my locker and open it to put my bag in and quickly grab my books before walking to AP calc. School passes pretty quickly and before I realize the final bell rings. I begin walking to my car with Lily and Claire as they start talking about a party some wolves are throwing in Rain Crescent. "Terra you HAVE to come! They will be a bunch of unmated wolves and you might find your mate!" Claire says hoping out of the backseat at my house. We walk up to my room and set our bags down at the door. "I don't know guys, parties really aren't my scene." I flop down on my bed as Claire looks through my closet and Lily gets out my makeup and hair curler. "Terra! You never go to any parties! You are going to this one whether you like it or not!" I sigh at Lily's words before getting up and walking into my closet with Claire.
"Nope! Nope! Nope! HELL NO! OMG! YASSSSSS!" Claire says pulling out forest green dress. It had a low V neck and was up to mid thigh. The bottom part was a skater style of skirt. Lily walks in and nods in approval before going back to her stuff. Claire grabs a pair of gold flats I had and some gold jewelry before laying it out on the bed. Lily grabs my arm and sits me down. She put on gold and green eyeshadows to match my outfit and some more basic makeup while Claire curls my hair. Once they are done they make me put on the dress, shoes and jewelry.
"Oh my god! You looks so pretty!!" They scream in unison. I look at myself in the mirror and I can't even recognize myself. I look amazing. I look over at Claire and Lily and nod my head in approval. "I love it!" I hug them before letting them get ready. Claire and Lily keep a few little ensembles in my closet in case of a another party. They get ready and we all look stunning. We went in my car and started driving to Rain Cresent. It isn't really that far of a drive for me since I have been there a few times before. They are neighboring pack so it is pretty easy to get there.
