Too much repetition. After a few lines, the word Nathanael gets to you. Aside from common words, the word Nathanael dominates this supposed-journal story. It's in third person, and there is a lack of creativity in the writing itself. It's written as if a young child would write it. No offense to the actual writing quality, since there is nothing bad about it, just no originality.
