Chapter 2: LEAVE NO STONES UNTURNED
Martha and her family moved in Manila from the United States, 25 years ago. Victor thought it was great and it's a homecoming for him since he has relatives from his Filipina mother's side. Martha and Victor put up a boutique shop and have a successful branch in Glorietta mall in Makati.
It was a perfect set-up for the family. Or Victor thought so.
Prior to their coming to the Philippines, Martha was living a dual identity. Her real name is Carol Smith. CIA agent Carol Smith.
Martha had to look for a perfect cover and marrying Victor and to have a family was the plan. And Victor wasn't aware of these.
As Agent Smith, she was sent to the Middle East to spy an international terrorist caliphate and was tasked to retrieve one important document. Her mission, steal the document that is the core information of the caliphate.
Smith successfully accomplished her mission. She gave the documents to her superior and she changed her identity to Martha Jones and married Victor Denver on June 6, 1992. From there on, they lived a happy and normal life and were blessed with two beautiful daughters.
All of these have shattered now. Her daughters death and husband's near coma resulting to the trauma, all boiled down to her. She's angry at herself while promising to get even to anyone who has anything to do with this tragedy.
She had to leave her husband in the Philippines to their relatives and go back to the States and meet with her superior, as she was called back to investigate the matter.
Martha will leave no stones unturned until she catches the mastermind of the 'robbery and murder' in her house.
"I WILL FIND THEM. I WILL SEARCH EVERY SPACE. I WILL MAKE THEM PAY FOR WHAT THEY DID TO OUR DAUGHTERS. WHOEVER THEY ARE, WHEREVER THEY ARE. I WILL COME AND GET THEM," Martha whispered to Victor's ear before leaving the room.
