"MC POV"
It has been three years since Kushina was transferred. those were some excruciatingly boring years. Most of the studies were focused toward first generation and civilians toward Shinobi life. first two years, we had just introduction on chakra, its applications, target practice and standard academy taijutsu. most of the study focused on getting the students familiar with geography around the world, shinobi rules and other daily necessities for shinobi life.
In third year, the chakra unlocking was introduced. it was exciting when it first started and soon got same as first year. This year everyone were taught basic leaf sticking exercise. Most of the student had low chakra reserves so a lot of the teaching were about basic outdoor regulations. This year we were also taught about hierarchy of shinobi system. it started with genin at the bottom-chunin-jonin with kage of the village being the highest military and judiciary power. The Hokage being the leader of the village employed a group of distinguished people to be representative for the rest of the village. it was divided into 3 parts.
the first being civilian council which manages the economy and welfare around the village. They are people chosen by other villagers to represent them. Most of the participants are merchants who have effect over the economy of the village.
the second is the ninja council. these mainly comprises the clanhead and the few of the strongest ninja around the village. it also includes some elders who have experienced shinobi life and retired.they mostly conduct the business of their own clan and provide rest of the village with their exclusive expertise with their clan jutsu specific to a section and products their clan provides exclusively.
The third part was slightly special case as it is mostly formed during war and so called war council. The Hokage leads this with join commander and strategist while rest of the council are troop commander. it is quickly formed to respond to war and dissolved right after the war is over. This council takes most precedent over others as it concerns immediate survival of the village and allowed to order others follow through.
Aside from that, most of the year's time included physical exercise. Most of the students who never had to work hard were pushed to the brink. some of them even quit the class due to being unable to follow through. It seems to be recurring event as there was a school exchange program during this year to change academy for civilians school. but the most surprising thing was even some clan Children quit. so the class was quite empty. on that note, the NPC 1 and 2 also gave up the class. I knew they were losers so no surprise there.
One more canon event happened in first year. The one where kushina beats up a genin though it happened in slightly different way.
The NPC 3 seem to have involved his brother in his fight and ambushed kushina while on the way home. those three tried more and more to bully kushina with more friends but she beat then all up. I helped sometimes when they were too aggressive but from the shadows, one chakra string here and there; making them trip and losing their stance altogether stopping their attacks. pretty easy considering nobody knew how I helped.
but then i heard their conversation when NPC 3 was telling his friends. so I secretly followed them. that fight was disappointing for me though. The genin knew at most the three academy jutsu and caught kushina by surprise with a substitution. At that time I was about to get involved but she stopped me right there. I stopped but someone else stepped in and flying kicked the genin.
Oh! you must be thinking It must be minato who stepped in and stole her heart right there, right?
But no! it was mikoto Uchiha. she was right behind me, I did sense her following me when I sneaked away. I didn't think she would attack the genin though. kushina was also surprised seeing the rival of hers trying to help her. Even I was shocked.
After a brief time the genin unable to beat the duo. started to insult them. He called kushina an outsider and mikoto a spoilt clan bastard.
lots of repressed rage there, must have got Uchiha as rookie there.
so kushina replied that even if she is an outsider she will become a Hokage and rub it on his face.
Mikoto just smiled at that declaration. the genin after that ashamed ran away with his brother while the lady duo tended to their bruises. I got down from the trees and minato who I knew was also there quietly left the vicinity. as soon as I got down mikoto started to scold me.
--Flashback--
"kyoshi why were you just standing there? didn't you see kushina get beat up?" Mikoto raged at my face. while kushina was quietly standing there.
"Oh I was about to help her but she stopped me. I knew she would become angry if I interfered so I just waited till she needed my help."
I complained.
"But how could you? even if she stopped you, you should have stepped in. isn't she your friend huh?" mikoto raged even more at that.
"Because she is my friend that I didn't step in. she needs to learn to face her problem. only then she will become stronger mentally and physically" and turned toward kushina "and I'm sorry kushina but i won't become your crutch." I honestly answered.
I'm not going to be there for them. as they have become my friends I'm going to make sure they can protect themselves when I'm not around atleast survive till I arrive. so in safe environment she can learn to fight will be good.
But mikoto just huffed angrily. so I asked her a question instead.
"ok I didn't step in and that was my fault. but why did you fight? it's not like she is your friend?"
" huh! what? I just didn't want my rival to be beat up by someone else that's all. who knows if she will make excuse when she loses to me eventually. yeah" mikoto blushed and gave a tsundere answer.
"Oh really?" I teased her.
'of course that's it." she turned her red face away from kushina and me.
"Are you sure it's not because you think she is your friend?" well I was not going to let go that easily, was I?
" of course not. it's because she is my rival. yeah hmph."
Kushina laughed at seeing our antics. she must have been very lonely in this village. A scared, insecure girl away from friends and families in unknown place. Now finally getting friends must have calmed her heart. she hugged both of us while I secretly healed their wounds. they didn't seem to have gotten in contact of medical chakra before so they were unaware. we both then returned to Uchiha clan compound after dropping kushina to her home.

after that mikoto and kushina became good frenemies, openly insulting each others but cheerful inside. maybe rivals is more like it?
Anyway the year ended with not much actions for the students except for me that is. I accomplished a lot in 3 years. I wasn't going to idle around. My chakra capacity increases so much now I have no equal I know in this village except Mito uzumaki. who has after sealing kyubi in kushina left this world and made me the most chakra capacity among all the konoha. Kushina didn't have a lot of chakra like Naruto as her seal didnot release chakra periodically from kyubi to her reserves. so she had above average chakra capacity as a uzumaki but that's it.
The genjutsu finally progressed to the level where I can genuinely mind control with the help of sharingan and mental energy. It was similar to how nature manipulation works just invade mind with mental energy and put their conscious mind in a coma like trance and control their outward behaviour to speech. Literal mind fuckery.
Also the physical energy was affecting my physique so much now I can tank attacks with my body like third raikage without a scratch. I can coat my body in thin film of this energy to literally steam roll enemies. even my clones can tank a good bit of damage now. how did I know this you ask. well I upgraded my fuinjutsu library with the help of kushina. Her encyclopaedia of knowledge helped me finally complete the anonymity mask which even hides my chakra signature even from dojutsu and also learned the space time seal matrix of hirashin jutsu. it will take me some time to make my own matrix though.
well we got off topic here. now how I found out my invincibility well. I placed a shadow clone with the coat active and literally ganged up on him. after dispelling him I found out he didnot even feel that untill the coat ran out. so with that I placed a clone as replacement with chakra storage scroll and quietly left the village during night. I toured around the jungle surrounding the village and the towns for few days. I found a bandit group slight distance from the village so I put my mask on and silently attacked them.
I got my first kill here. it felt quite weird at first killing another human, easy to kill like a animal being slaughtered. As I was pondering if I should feel guilty about taking another life. I heard a scream, a scream of a girl crying to be spared. so I rushed in that tent. and what I saw made up my mind. a bandit supposedly the leader teared the clothes of a girl and was about to jump on her while two lackeys held her hand. But with me present, fell silent forever courtesy of a senbon to the base of the neck, All three of them.
The girl was quite shaken up so I calmed her down and I asked her about her wellbeing. she answered that she was alright so I suggested her to be taken back to her home. she accepted and I carried her out of there. she showed the path as I didn't know the way around. she asked about me but I just answered as a adventurer who was wandering around. I then asked her about her situation and how she got captured.
On her own words, she was a daughter of wealthy merchant who got ambushed on their way back home. the bandits escaped taking her hostage. Her father survived and ran away. The bandits were supposed to release her for a ransom but that was a day later. but they suddenly attacked ready to defile her. that was when I got involved and rescued her.
During the talk she showed the way and we reached the gate just when she finished her tale. she asked me to wait so that's he can reward me with something but I just accepted her gratitude and left her at the gate. with the journey ending with good result I decided to finish the tour and returned to konoha. I silently exchanged places with the clone and despelled him. Nothing significant happened while I was away except minato knocking out one of Fugaku's teeth during a spar. that was a hilarious memory.
With that my year ended and I got ready for my research on hirashin with my clones practicing medical jutsu.

how did I do? was it good or bad? maybe just ok?
anyways the walk down the memory lane is not quite finished but next chapter will have current time activity and new year start. the final year in academy then genin days will begin.
as for uzu that will happen in one of his adventures with some info from kushina. you will see how I will connect the two.
