Chapter 5: Beginners Luck
"Alright, so first I must teach you about magic so you understand what you're dealing with. Magic is a highly unstable force. You the healer, warrior, magician, however you do not control magic.
Magic can make one tired and in a bad mood, training for magic is extremely hard. One must have great mental capabilities and physical capabilities. This is because, sometimes, the magic force can kill you if you are not properly taught. Luckily, you Ryan have a high level warrior to train you.
Also, magic has different elements to test you for your element we need a drop of blood. " I say sternly. If Ryan really wants to learn magic he has to know it's consequences. To be honest to my mind he does look a like pale.
"Alright, how should I get you my blood" Ryan says nervously scratching his neck. I take a fine needle out of my pocket. He looks at it.
"I am assuming you took that from the Drug mart. " he says. I nod a sheepish smile rising my cheeks.
"Hand" I demand. Ryan passes forth his hand. I raise the needle. It poke perfectly through his skin and a droplet of blood come out of the tiny hole. I scoop this blood up with my fingers and put it gently on the palm. I use extremely low level magic, and I feel a few drops of my own blood in my mouth.
no big deal, no big deal.
The blood starts to squirm around and it glows a hazy white light. I hear Ryan gasp.
The white light surrounds us for a moment the it's gone. On my palm is a highly coloured droop of blood. So brightly red that it almost hurts to look at.
" Okay. So you are a fire element healer, good thing because fire element healers can usually generate a good attack spell.
Back to the learning part, to use magic you have to prepare your self. fire element magic works best when paired with fire or hot stuff. Set aside anything you are thinking right now and take a deep breath." Ryan's breath goes in and flows out. " Close your eye and see the fire in you, see the fire in the air. Focus on that fire and guide it to your finger tips. It will help if you say a few words, like ' Fire goes out of fingers burns out. ' that way it will not burn the house down. Once you are on a higher rank you will be able to use basic magic like a fire ball of a basic health regain with out a demand. Now try it." Ryan eyes are closed, he's highly focused.
"fire please leave my finger and don't burn down the house!" Ryan says, and waves his hand like fire should come out. I look at him dumbly. "What!"
"Are you really going to say please. The fire element is bold to master it you must be even more so. " I say. " Try more like ' Fire through fingers flickers out!' I say and use my hand in a waving flourish. He sighs and begins to focus again. This time is much better.
" finger tip fire bust out before chaos!" A small bit a smoke so white and so subtle I barely see it comes from his fingers.
" Ryan again! Your close more bold. " I demand. He says the same thing again the same out come. "Again more bold. " He does it again more boldly and a slight blackish smoke come from his nails. " Again!!!" I bellow. He yells the incantation he made up and a plume a flame bursts up it fly's for a few seconds then goes out before it sets the curtains on fire. "Ha Ha great!" Ryan jumps up.
" I did it! I used magic I Ryan. S. Ligomost used magic. " He yells happily a smile of triumph on his face.
"don't get to cocky you gotta a long way to go sit back down and do it again except try to form the fire in to something else like a rough image have that image in your head when you do so. " I say slightly killing his good mood.
.... A few hours later......
A blue fire envelopes Ryan's hands. Fine healing magic. His normal magic force must have been unearthly big because he caught on really quick. He is a little pale but he rubs his fingers along the cut I made in my palm for practice. He yawns.
" Alright training was good. You got a basic fire control and basic fire plume and don't forget the basic healing spell. But now we need rest and food." I order, Then smiles his cracked lips. Healers usually suffer more from magic because they heal people. But he seems okay.

Ryan dreams of running through a burning house he needs to save Sera her magic can only go so far in the world. But when Ryan gets there. Jhonnas eyes greet him.
