The best techniques for people who want to practice alchemy are techniques assigned with the element to wood.
There are four categories for alchemist: apprentice, master and great master, divine. Each category is divided into 5 sub-levels at each level, the higher the sub-level the better the alchemist at that level.

Apprentice - These alchemists wear a gray cloak. Most alchemists are at this level. To become an apprentice alchemist, one needs to have a firm grasp of the foundations and principles of alchemy, which are covered in about ten material books.
Master - These alchemists wear white robes. To become a master alchemist, one should not only understand the basics, but have a detailed knowledge of the herbs, and an extreme control over the deep energy at the time of making tablets and elixirs. This material comprises hundreds of books that are worth information.
Grand Master - These alchemists wear silver robes, they are people who possess nearly perfect knowledge of thousands of herbs, any elixir or pill created in the hands of a great master will be at least ten times more powerful and containing less impurities than someone classified in the rank master.
Divine- These alchemists wear gold robes, they have knowledge of hundreds of thousands of herbs, their refinement has no impurities, of any kind they can refine remedies with ten times the potency of a Grand Master.
