Nell scoffed when he saw what Jade had done. He didn't even bother monitoring the situation to see what just happened. If Jade wanted to hurt her own baby, then that was fine by him. In fact it would be great since he wouldn't have to get his own hands dirty. But just to make sure, he called Jade's parents. After all, Jade had insisted that she wouldn't abort the baby. Would she still be able to stay stubborn if her parents were also on his side?
After two rings, Jade's mom, Gemma, picked up the phone. She seemed to have just woken up, despite the fact that it was already 2 pm, and her voice sounded groggy.
"Hello? Who is this?"
"Sorry if I woke you up, mother-in-law, this is Nell," he chuckled before continuing, "I just have to tell you something important about Jade."
"Ohhh it's my precious son-in-law!" Gemma exclaimed happily. When she found out that her daughter was dating a man like Nell- smart, studious, and gentlemanly- she had been elated and had immediately considered him as her son-in-law, "Go on, I'm listening. What did Jade do this time?"
"Jade is pregnant with another man's baby."
The bomb was dropped without warning. On the other side of the phone, Gemma began choking on her own spit. This situation was much too shocking. Although Jade had been a terrible girl all along, this was going too far!
Nell continued, "I told her to abort it but she's insistent on keeping it. I'm afraid she might be in love with another man. In this case, I don't see why I should still be with her, despite how much I love her. That would be unfair for her, don't you agree, mother-in-law?" Nell said, in a sad voice, knowing that Gemma would do exactly what he wanted her to do.
As expected, Gemma's response was filled with fury, "unfair for her my ass! That ungrateful brat actually cheated on you. If she doesn't abort that child, then I'll be the first to disown her! Let's see if she'll still continue to behave this way when she knows she won't have a big, strong background to return to at the end of the day." Gemma slammed down the phone. On the other hand, Nell began laughing loudly. He had everything in the palm of his hands.
