Grandmother Santos had no idea that Alexa was on the way to Andrea's office. If she knew, she would have left right away. She had no idea how she was going to face her adopted granddaughter now.
She needed to get out of town, and she needed to hide as far away as she could... She had done so many evil and wrong things. She had made Alexa suffer and lived a harsh life in poverty while giving everything that belongs to Alexa to his real granddaughter... Andrea.

Early that morning, Grandma Santos was playing mah-jong in a nearby neighborhood when someone came looking for her. It was a private investigator. The investigator was hired by Alexa's biological father, Sean Grant, from the United States. After finding out that he had fathered a child, he did not waste any time by hiring a private investigator to look for the mother and child no matter what the cost was.
The investigator that Sean Grant hired in the past was top-notch. However, because of his wife's interference, the investigator always returned to him empty-handed. It was not until recently that he suspected something was wrong with the private investigator's inability to bring him any good news. Which led him to threaten his wife that he would file for divorce if she did not divulge everything that she knew. He asked her because she was the one who introduced him to the private investigator.
All documentation regarding Alexa and her mother, Chrissy Chen, was handed over to Sean Grant. He was devastated to find out that Chrissy Chen had passed away from a car accident, leaving their daughter in the care of the nanny, Lydia Santos. As he read through the file, he found out that his daughter lived an impoverished life. He read through the records all the way to the end. He did not realize that he had tears flowing down his handsome face.
Sean Grant called another private investigator to come over to his place. Once the private investigator arrived, he ordered him to fly to the Philippines right away. After handing Alexa's recent picture to him. He ordered the investigator, "Bring my daughter back here, no matter what it costs! Do not bother coming back if she is not with you! Do you understand?" Sean Grant sternly ordered while trying his best to stay calm.

Meanwhile, Alexa and Ramon arrived at RRWP headquarters. The traffic was not too bad. They thanked God for the color coding on the highway, which was not as traffic-jammed as it used to be. Alexa could not wait for Ramon to find a parking space. She asked him to drop her off at the front of the building.
Once the car came to a full stop, she opened the door fast and was ready to jump out as soon as she could. She was about to close the car door when she remembered something.
She poked her head inside the car to tell Ramon to go, "Thank you for your help! If you have somewhere you need to be, go there! Okay? I can handle it from here." She closed the door and rushed toward the building without waiting for Ramon's reply.

Inside the breakroom, Grandma Santos was quietly waiting for Andrea to come back with the money and the bus ticket for Pangasinan province she asked for. It is where her family member lives. She started to get impatient.
She stood up and was ready to look for Andrea when she suddenly heard Andrea's voice nearby. It seems that she was speaking with someone and getting close by the minute. 'Wait a minute...that voice sounds familiar!' She said to herself.
Grandma Santos peeked through the window blind that covered the employee break room. 'Oh, sh*t! It's Alexa; what am I going to do?' She mumbled to herself while she was trying to find a place to hide.
Unfortunately, it was too late. The doors opened, then Alexa and Andrea walked in.
As soon as Alexa saw her grandmother, she ran to her and hugged her as tight as she could with tears flowing down her face. "Grandma! What is the meaning of this? What are you doing here? Oh, grandma!" Alexa hugged grandma Santos like there was no tomorrow.
Grandma Santos broke-free from Alexa's tight embrace. She pushed Alexa away from her before going back to the chair, where she sat before they came without saying a word.
Alexa was speechless. She was unable to move or follow. She just stood like a statue while gazing at Grandma Santos' tired, sad face while she returned to her chair and sat down.
Grandma Santos could not look up at Alexa and said in a downcast expression on her face, "Alexa, we need to talk."
