The Great Library
The golden knight's head slightly jerked, and even though I could not see its eyes, I felt its gaze brushed past me as it made a thorough scan around its surroundings. After a moment, it repositioned its head to its original pose and spoke.
"Initiating techno protocol one, identifying host, scanning, scanning - " Said the golden knight, it spoke in an archaic and somewhat mechanical tone. "Scanning, scanning...."
As it was repeating the word 'Scanning', the knight's head once again moved slightly to scan its surrounding, but unlike before, it seems like it was now searching for something. The knight continued this for several seconds, and at last, with one final 'Scanning' it rapidly twisted its head to face in my direction.
"Scanning Complete! Host Identified!" It announced. "Name: Huang Fen... Gender: Male... Age: 16... Element: Light, Heal... Height: 182 cm... Weight: 63 kg... "
My eyes widen as I listen to the terrifyingly accurate and eerie analysis of myself. I glanced at the girl who was currently paying an unusual amount of attention to the golden knight, which was somewhat disturbing, to be honest. Seeing how attentive she was being to this 'topic', I decided not to bother her for now. My attention directed back to the golden knight, surprisingly, it continued to disclose more information about me.
"Preferred Consumption: Spicy dishes... Preferred Color: Yellow... Hobby: Baking... Preferred Drinks... "
"Hey, hey..." I mumbled. "What's going on here?"
"I see, I see!" The girl contemplated with her right hand on her chin. "How interesting, a boy's preference... so this what guys are into! It's not that different from what us girl's do, to be honest... how educational!
"Hey!" I choked my words. "Stop eavesdropping on someone else privacy! Plus your logic is - !"
"Huh? I'm not eavesdropping~ " She smirked. "I'm currently engaging in an educational study course. And besides - shouldn't you not be talking? You'll make yourself faint at this rate and wouldn't it be a shame if you are not here to hear all of what the Knight has to say about you ~ ?"
I felt my face heating up when she mentioned the last sentence. Seeing my reaction, the girl winked at me for good measure causing my anger to pique, however, there was nothing I could do about it. I could only watch helplessly as the golden knight continued to spout random facts about me and the girl listening to it enthusiastically, much to my dismay.
"Dislike: Being belittled... Unpreferred Consumption: Pineapple... Preferred Sex: Female... Fetish: Lolis and Sister Complex..."
"HEY!" From the top of my lungs, I yelled.
My face was now bright red, I was flustered beyond compare, I felt like crawling inside a deep dark hole and hide in there forever. If I was the only person listening to this, I wouldn't have minded it at all, but a second person was present here. Not only was this person a complete stranger to me, but she was also a female! How could I not be embarrassed to death right now?
"Ohh ~ ... So it's like that huh?" The girl grinned. "Brother Huang Fen is both a lolicon and a siscon, fuh... what an interesting combination~ "
"No - wait - you got it all wrong... I'm not - "
"Ah ~ don't worry, it's not like I'm going to spread this around the school saying: 'a potential lecherous pedophile is roaming around the school grounds' or anything, " She chuckled. "I mean, things like this we should just let the disciplinary committee to handle, it's not like I'm a part of it or anything~ "
As she says that, she flashed a gorgeous, almost innocent smile at me. Normally, a smile like that would cause any guy's heart to be captivated, however, all I saw now was the smile of a devil. Who would've thought my savior was such a sarcastic and terrifying person? If I've ever bumped into her again in the future, I'll have to make sure that I won't do anything rash to trigger this side of her personality.
"Integration complete! Master acknowledged Techno Relic: Roland reverting back to standby mode."
As the golden knight said that, its body starts to waver and becomes translucent. For the first time since its appearance, the knight finally showed signs of movement. It hovered towards my direction and paused just right above me, it then sank into me and we superimposed each other. I was startled by this but my body was too tired to move and so I have no other choice but to allow it to proceed. My body illuminated once again and like a flashbang, it engulfed the entire room, blinding both me and the girl.
After the light faded, our visions returned and the golden knight was nowhere to be seen. The girl was stunned by this momentarily but she suddenly recalled of what had just happened and smiled understandingly. She walked over to me and leaned forward while extending her right arm in my direction. She offered her hand to me and gestured for me to get up. However, after everything that had just transpired today and the fatigue of exhaustion, my eyes starts to feel heavy and my breathing ragged. Before I could accept the girl's hand, I fell into a deep slumber.

"Hmm? Where am I? Wait this is... don't tell me that I'm - "
As soon as I woke up, I found myself lying in a strange room. Each and every corner and edges of the room was decorated with tall standing shelves. The room was quite cramped as there was only enough walking space to barely fit an entire car inside. There were books littered everywhere on the floor, the shelves and even in the air! The appearance of the room was mundane, a single light source hanged high up on the ceiling which illuminated the entire room with a strange brown and yellowish light. The entirety of the room felt ancient and almost nostalgic, almost like an old abandoned library that had aged through time.
The atmosphere felt strange, it felt mysterious and abstract, sort of like a dream. One would expect that such a confined room like this would normally be rid of any aspect of sound; an extremely tranquil environment. However, as time passes you would begin to hear a tune, a sweet morning melody that seems to melt any sorrow within a person's heart. The tune just served to make the already archaic room more ancient and nostalgic. In the beginning, the room seems like it was giving off a joyful reminiscing sensation in your heart, but as time passes you would start to feel a bitter-sweet melancholy inkling which would quickly progress into a very sentimental vibe.
"This place seems familiar, it's like I got this feeling that I've been here before but I've never recalled coming to a place like this ever in my life..." I murmured.
I looked around myself.
"No - this place... I'm positive that... I've never been here at all not even once, yet... it feels more than just familiar - it's like the existence of this room had always been with me since forever!"
As I said that, I stumbled backward a little which cause my head to accidentally bumped into one of the floating books in the room. The book was surprisingly thick and heavy, which makes colliding with it extremely painful.
*Thud*
"Ouch!" I cried.
Using my right hand, I gently rubbed the sore spot on the back of my head. As I remain rubbing my head, the book that I'd collided with vanished and reappeared in front of me, startling me.
"What the?"
The book positioned itself straight up with its front cover facing me. I winced at the barely readable words on the book cover and was suddenly surprised by its content.
"Purify (Low-Tier): Cost 30 MP..."
After a few seconds, the book starts to open by itself and rapidly flipped through its pages until it reached about half-way of the book. In the pages were detailed contents of a spell known as 'Purify'.
"Casting time: 1 - 2 seconds... Mana Consumption: Very Low... Effect: Cures all low-tier ailments, with the exception of death..."
"Hold on a minute... Spellbooks, cost value on the books, a library... don't tell me that I'm - I'm... I'm right now in the - Great Library!?"
