"Mom, Dad!" Alexa said as she welcomes her parents to John's house and gave them a warm hug. "Good evening Uncle, Auntie." John said in a calm voice though he was really feeling uneasy. Alexa saw the uneasiness on John's face. "Relax hubby, this is your territory, dad won't bite you." Alexa said winking at him. "Your house is beautiful, and I think I saw the design somewhere but I can't remember." Mrs. Cruz while roaming around the living room. "Mom, this was my design that I made before." Alexa said looking at John tenderly. "Yeah, I remember. You showed it to me before you submitted it to your professor but you said it was lost." Mrs. Cruz said puzzled. "Well,here's the culprit!" Alexa said while holding the hand of John. "Oh!" Mrs. Cruz felt happy because she knew on that moment that her daughter will be happy with John's love and care. While Alexa and her mom was busy chatting. John was also busy preparing the table for dinner. Mr. Cruz approached him that made him more nervous. "Uncle, Alexa said that your not into pork so I've cooked dishes with more vegetables on it." He said calmly but Mr. Cruz could feel his tension. "Relax John, you'll be soon my son-in-law so if you could just be yourself in front of me then do so." Mr. Cruz said that made John a little relax and happy at the same time because of the "son-in-law" that stayed in his mind. "By the way, I've talked to Alexa's godfather and he's willing to give her a bodyguard but he will not reveal himself unless its really needed. He will follow Alexa's every move." Mr. Cruz said seriously. "But don't tell Alexa because she will really hate the idea that someone is following her" Mr. Cruz continued. "Yes, uncle, but still I wont let down my guard." John said that made Mr. Cruz at ease because he knows that this man in front of him will not let anyone touch his precious daughter. The two men both kept silent because the two ladies are entering the dining area. "Hmmm, you two are talking seriously, what about? "Alexa asked looking at John that only shrugged his shoulders. "Dad?" Alexa arching her brows at her father. "Nothing serious, I just asked this man what's his plans for my precious daughter." Mr. Cruz said smiling and winking at John that made the latter smile too. After the chatting, they ate dinner and Mr. and Mrs. Cruz can't stop praising John's cooking that made Alexa proud of her man.
