Chapter 45: FORGIVENESS 5
"You! We trusted you!" Eunae yelled angrily. She looked at the man with white hair smiling at her with hatred in her eyes.
"I can see that little nae'er is now a fine grown up woman, I must say, you look so much like your mother". The man smiled sinisterly, "It was quite easy killing your parents and your dear uncle Dan. But I've got to admit you and your siblings hide very well but I guess not too well".
"Why did you kill them! What did we ever do to you!!"
"Now hush, no need to yell. Don't worry I'll soon end your agony, as for your question I believe you deserve an answer, well for starting, I was in love with your mom and we were engaged but you know the rest, she betrayed me and married that bastard, well as the nice person I am, I tried to be civil but she still showed stubbornness. I even left the organization for her and worked hard helping that bastard company grow but still yet she refused me. One day I finally had my way and almost had her, I could still feel her soft body but still that bastard spoilt my plan, he even had the gut to arrest me. When I came out I found out she had given birth for that bastard and so I started my brilliant plan but first I had to gain their trust. I thought it would initially be very difficult but what can I say they foolishly believed me, then I found some of his jealous brothers who hated him and added them to my side as my pawn. I had to watch them give birth and enjoy their useless happiness silently waiting for the day of my revenge.
It was finally time to get rid of your bastard father but who would have thought that your stupid mother would still sacrifice her life for that bastard till the very end. I was so enraged when I got the news and decided to get rid of you little pest to end their legacy but I've got to admit, you guys are very slimy and always escaped, but today I can finally say I will succeed in killing you and finding your siblings to kill them too". He laughed menacingly staring at her weirdly.
"You are one sick BASTARD". Eunae snarled.
"My dear Eunae, you know it's actually a crime to insult your elder and your ex boss, don't worry this will be very painful but you have to endure it". He laughed walking closer to her with a syringe.
Suddenly the door swung open and one of his men barged in and whispered something in his ears. He was so enraged that he kicked the person hard sending him flying.
"I will be back very soon little Eunae, be a good girl and wait for me". Chengmin smiled sinisterly twirling the syringe in his hands before walking out, "Keep a close eye on her, she's very slimy and crafty". He told his men before walking out.
Eunae sat there looking at them, she silently loose her hands from the rope, 'this fools don't even know how to tie a simple rope', she mocked freeing her hands. The people in the room where busy drinking and playing cards not minding her at all. Before they could even bling their eyes, she already attacked them, ruthlessly killing them silently before taking their gun. "I have to find Jiseok". She quickly left the room.
She ran to a room where she remembers them taking Jiseok. She hurriedly opened the door only to see someone about to inject her beloved son.
'Pow Pow!'
The person with the syringe fell down dead, before the rest could even react she shot them. She quickly ran to her son.
"Mum..?" Jiseok asked weakly.
"Yes it's me baby, please hold on a little mummy's gonna get us out of here, okay?"
He nodded. She removed the rope and hugged him tightly, she carried him carefully on her back before picking the syringe and putting it as bullet in one of the guns and rushing out of the room.
"Mummy....they said they want to kill you and me, mummy what did we do to them?" Jiseok said weakly.
"Don't worry baby, mummy won't let anything happen to you". She whispered back. She already know that they both can't get out alive and it's high time she put an end to that sick BASTARD.
As she expected, few minutes later the alarm rang throughout indicating that they escaped. She managed to run to a hidden room and hide there waiting for her pursuers to leave.
"Baby remember what mummy taught you right?" She asked making sure to wear him bulletproof vest. Jiseok nodded.
"Good, stay here and wait for my signal I'll be right back, here take this, if anyone tries to take you use it". She gave him a gun and kissed his forehead before running out of the room. The little boy sat in the room scared praying for somebody to save them.
Eunae ran into a person she thought to be her friend.
"Nice to see you again, Eunae too bad you are gonna die in my hands". The girl with short black hair smiled sinisterly.
"I would have said nice to meet you too but I would be lying, I'm not shocked to see you". Eunae smiled. She's already prepared for any more surprises and right now the only thing in her mind is to get out of this place alive. The girl rushed forward and did her hammer kick but Eunae dodged it swiftly. They continued to fight but at the end Eunae won and shot her five times killing her immediately.
The alarm sounded again indicating that there is intruders. Eunae smiled knowing that it must be Taemin and the secret agent here to rescue them. Everyone started looking for a way to escape as the agents poured inside the building. Eunae ran back to the hidden room only to see Jiseok in the hands of Chengmin.
"Drop your weapon or I'll blow his heads off".
Eunae looked at her son who was trembling and dropped her weapon. "Now kick the gun to me". She obeyed.
"Let him go! I'm the one you need".
Chengmin smiled and released him watching as he ran to her.
"Now die!" he yelled pulling the trigger.
'Pow! Pow! Pow! Pow! Pow! Pow!'
Chengmin fell down dead. Jiseok looked at his mom as she picked him up and ran to the exit. She ran out of the building carrying him, immediately they were out she collapsed.
"Mom! Stay with me!" Jiseok yelled crying seeing blood coming out from her chest. Eunae clutched her chest tightly, smiling weakly
"Cough!..... You are alright... I'm sorry... Jiseok... Mummy's so tired.... Cough.."
"No! You have to stay awake! Please don't leave me! "
" Cough... I'm so sorry.... Promise ...me...that.. You will...take...care...of...Jiho..cough". Eunae said coughing blood.
"I promise! Please stay.. I need you".
"Cough.. I..love...you..cough".
"I love you too mummy". Jiseok said crying. Eunae looked at her child one last time smiling and took her last breathe. Her hands fell to her side.
"Mom..?. Mom? ... No! Mommy!! Please come back!!" Jiseok cried and cried but she never once again said anything. She died with her eyes opened in Jiseok hand.
"NOOOOO!! MUMMY!!" he yelled loudly hugging her and crying loudly, everywhere became dark before he fell down drowning in the darkness. This was the scene Taemin saw when he found them, his wife and his son unconscious. The paramedics came and rushed them but it was too late, Eunae was already dead.
Ever since that day, two lives never remained the same. Darkness entered their lives and destroyed their world.

--Present day---
Jiseok collapsed on the chair as he remembered that faithful day when he held his lifeless mother in his little hands. He remembered how he cried and pleaded for his mom to come back to him but she never woke up again.
"I'm sorry I wasn't able to save Eunae, I swear I tried so much to protect her but I failed, and I'm more sorry for neglecting you". Taemin said going closer to Jiseok. Jiseok shifted away from his reach.
"I begged you not to go! But you refuse! I freaking knelt down and begged you!!" Jiseok yelled, "Do you have any freaking idea how it feels for a five year old to hold his mom in his hands? Do you have any idea how it feels to watch mom die in my hands? Do you know?"
Taemin stood there silently looking at Jiseok. "I cried so much, I was broken but what did you do? You freaking abandoned me! I finally found someone to make me smile, but still yet you sent me away, I needed you the most but you weren't there for me!! WHY DID YOU COME NOW AFTER EIGHTEEN FREAKING YEARS!!" he yelled crying his eyes out.
"I'm so sorry, after losing your mom I was so lost, I didn't know how to face you so I hid from you. I'm a very terrible father and I admit it but please forgive this stupid father of yours!" Taemin pleaded, "I will leave you for now but I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me". He said before leaving the office.

"Sir how did it go?" Taner asked Taemin.
"I don't know, are you his friend?" he looked at her.
"Uhm, you can say something like that".
"Then he needs you right now more than ever". Taemin smiled sadly before walking away. Immediately he left, Jiseok call her to bring some documents to his office.
Knock knock
"come in".
Taner walked inside the office quietly, "Here's the important documents that needs your signature". She calmly dropped the documents, Jiseok didn't make any movement, he just stood there staring at the outside world. She looked at him for a while thinking if she should leave or not. Finally deciding on the latter, she walked towards him.
"I know it's none of my business but I want you to know that sometimes we don't value what we have till it's gone and we start regretting, so it's better we do all we can now so we have no regret". She looked at his broad back silently, "I know we haven't known each other for long but..."
She didn't finish her sentence, Jiseok suddenly turned around and hugged her tightly.
"please just stay like this for a while". He said hugging her tightly. Taner was speechless, she nod quietly. When she felt his breath on his neck, she felt a tingling sensation, she hugged him back rubbing his back silently. They stood like that for a while before he finally released her.
He awkwardly scratched his head, "Sorry about that".
"it's no problem". She said smiling awkwardly.
"If you watched your mom die in your hands when you were five and got abandoned by your dad when you needed him the most, after eighteen long years he comes asking for forgiveness, will you forgive him?" Jiseok said absentmindedly.
"Well I'm not a saint, the logical thing is to not forgive him, but he isn't perfect and as a different way of mourning, I would try to put myself in his shoes and understand him, if he's sincere I'll forgive him, cause I never can tell if this is my last chance or the last time I'll see him". Taner spoke honestly. Jiseok looked at her smiling faintly,
"Thanks".
"You are welcome, I'll be going to my office now". She smiled, "By the way, I know your mum would love for you to patch things up with your dad". She said before leaving the office. Jiseok stood there watching her leave, 'should I say I'm lucky to have her? She's very interesting', he thought smiling.
"Uhm.... Sir are you okay?" secretary Chan asked seeing his boss smiling to himself.
Clears throat, "Yes, why are you here?"
"I came to remind you that you have a very important business trip to Canada, so I wanted to ask if miss Taner would be going with you". Secretary Chan replied.
"You should know the answer to that question, if you have nothing else to ask get out".
Secretary Chan felt the room temperature decrease and gulped, he bowed and hurriedly left the room.
'You could have just said yes, no need to look at me so coldly'. He grumble walking back to his office.

"Hey Rodri, fancy getting a call from you". A man with black hair said twirling his phone with one hand and typing furiously with the other.
"Keep the pleasantries".
The man stopped typing and laughed, he stood up and walked to the fridge with the phone in his ears, "So who do you want to get rid of now?".
"I'm not getting rid of anyone this time, I want you to get every info about a girl". The caller replied.
"Oh my gosh! Don't tell me you finally left the single dog life". The man said laughing. "You know I can't get rid of beauties". He walked back to his sofa with a wine in his hands.
"Stop fooling around".
"Come on I'm just curious, so what's the unlucky girl name".
"Lu Taner".
"Okay, you'll get the report in two hours time". The man said smiling after the call ended.
"Lu Taner, I wonder what you did to offend this devil". The man got up and started typing immediately immense in his work.
