Chapter 1: A Stranger
She was coming back from the library towards her rented house. It was 8 o'clock but in this area, not many people goes out after 7pm. Peaceful, isn't it? She kept humming her favourite song on her bicycle when suddenly, someone came across the opposite road running towards her. "No. No. No..." ' Bump!' She fell down from the bicycle. 'God, it hurts.' She got up to her feet, straightened her clothes and checked her bicycle. 'Everything seems fine,thank god.'
When she was about to get on her bicycle again, she saw a man writhing at the side of the road just in front of her.
'It is better to ignore, right? He might be a rapist in disguise. Run!' Even though there was never such thing happens around here but better be safe than sorry. She made up her mind and quickly get on the bicycle. She was going to step on the pedal if not for the fact that she saw a real blood stain at the man's white shirt. Still, she stepped on the pedal and after a mile apart, she stopped. Swiftly taking out her handphone from the pocket of jeans, she dialled a number.
"Ge, I found someone beside the road with blood. Yes, near my housing area." She waited for her brother while watching that man from a far. He was still on the ground but it seems that his movement was weakened. He didn't really move. A few minutes later, a car came by the man's side. She knew that car. Her brother pointed at that man and she nodded from her standing place. Then, she waved her hand and went home.
A few days later, someone called her when she was having her lunch. "Yes, that's me. How can I help you, mister?" She kept silent for a while listening to the other end. "Erm, I think you got the wrong person. You might have been pranked. Sorry, I got to go." She disconnected from the call and dialled another number. No answer. Great!
