Chapter 11: CHAPTER 11
I instantly try to move away from Daisy. It's not like Lola and I are together but I feel like I cheated her in a way.
"Is there something wrong" Daisy says looking at me for reassurance. I try to make eye contact with Lola but she decides to look the other way.
"I gotta go Daisy" I say trying to make my way to Lola before she decides to leave.
"Lola... that wasn't what it seemed" I say as soon as I'm close enough to her. She drops her head with a slight frown but then looks at me as if nothings wrong.
"Scottie it's your life, I don't control it." She says, looking at me with a smile trying to hide her disappointment. I didn't know what I wanted anymore. Everything's all over the place. I look back, to see if Daisy is seeing any of this. She's gone and I'm happy she is.
"Lola these past few days we've been talking I've felt happy. I've felt alive again. I say letting my feelings speak for me. There's silence for minutes. She looks over the bridge, as if she's thinking about something... about what she just saw.
"I'm sorry" I say, trying to get her attention again. I reach for her hand.
"It's no big deal Scottie, it's your world. She says with a grin.
"See you later" she says before she makes her way off the bridge leaving me standing here confused.
