Chapter 1: Prologue: [ Misfortune ]

Kamilo, was doing his everyday joggingto keep his body in shape, and maintain his level of fitness.

He had earplugs on, and was listening to a novel he was really enjoying.

He sighed in desire for exhilaration, fantasy, and magic.

But he knew the chances of that happening was almost null in this dull, and boring world.

"God, if I was to be reincarnated... I would be truly happy in life"

He sighed out.

Boom!*

Kamilo heard the loud booming of thunder, so he looked at the sky confused.

The sky was cloudy and dark, and the smell of rain pungent.

"Wasn't it just sunny a minute ago?" He asked himself, confused at the sudden change of weather.

Taking off his earplugs, he jogged out of the park, and into the streets.

It didn't take long, before rain began to fall from the heavens.

Not wanting to be soaking wet, Kamilo, ran even faster.

Time had past, and the rain had started to become a literal down pour.

The clouds were thick, and had started turning the day dark. The amount of rain falling had increased to four inches, and was steadily increasing.

Kamilo was running even faster, to make it to the campus.

'It seems it's gonna flood ' He thought worried.

After a couple of minutes, the amount of rain falling was five inches, and the amount of cars decreased due to the horrible weather.

The day was now dark, and it was hard to see anything at this level of weater.

'The campus should be only a few minutes away now' He thought happily.

That, was when it began to storm chaotically.

The day was now darker than the night, and it stormed like the heavens wrath.

Lighting and thunder went off in the background, but Kamilo was close to the campus from his calculations.

Eventually he saw the campus, and it was just a crosswalk away too.

'I really need a shower once I get inside,

I don't think I can handle being wet for too long' He thought.

When he crossed the crossroad,

he saw a little girl across from him, waiting for the pedestal light to turn on.

'I wonder why she's all alone' He thought, as his eyes wandered to the left.

He saw truck coming down the road, but he wasn't worried for her safety. She was on the sidewalk, and she wouldn't be in danger because of this.

Turning around, he walked to the campus gates.

Crackle!* Boom!* Scree!*

The sound of lightning, thunder, and screeching weels made him turn around quickly.

Kamilo didn't hesitate to think when he saw the truck about to hit the girl, and ran as fast as he could.

But he was still too slow, and he knew he wouldn't be able to save her in time.....

Just like all those times...

No! he yelled out.

He wasn't gonna allow her die!

He wasn't gonna see her die under his watch! He was gonna save her!!!

He felt something felt inside him,

It began to thump strong, and hard.

Memories of his past flashed through his mind, the helplessness... the pity... the scorn....

His eyes closed.

'I won't be the helplessness little kid I was in the past, I'm gonna shove my will in fate, and break free!'

He was gonna achieve his freedom, because..... He was determined to do so!

Two strong emotions coursed through his body, determination and the will to be.... Free!

His feet hit the ground like hammers, and he began catching up!

Suddenly, the surrounding area changed, and a scene of the past replaced it.

He saw his past self, huddled against the corner. Around him were the older kids, kicking, and laughing.

He unconsciously clutched his hands, and yelled out.

"Shatter!"

The illusion shattered like glass under his command, and he was able to push the girl away into the grass.

Kamilo, seeing the girl was gonna be safe, closed his eyes awaiting for the his death...

He felt the crushing weight of the truck, and immense pain that followed.

But after that.... a sense of tiredness and drowsiness befell him.

Just like that, his mind and soul fell into a deep sleep.
