Chapter 1: The Beginning
Life never came easily for Dino.
Everything he did would 99 percent of the time fail.
Everyone he cared for would abandon him, in one way or another.
Money would pretty much run off on its own, somehow.
The only thing that came easy to Dino was dying.
But for all the times Dino died, he would never stay dead.
His death count at the time he was twenty one had already hit seven.
Doctors would always say what a miracle it was, the fact that he'd revive himself from death every single time but to Dino it was a curse.
The only peace.
The only tranquility.
The only time he felt like everything would be okay was when he was dead, as odd as that sounds.
The quietness of death was comforting to him.
Don't get me wrong, Dino never tried to kill himself; it was just his bad luck.
Again it was due to his bad luck or just the universe hating him, he could never tell which.
The simple fact about his deaths was his heart, or more accurately a heart condition.
An exceedingly rare heart condition,
How rare you ask?
Only 1 in every 2 billion people have it.
So yeah, it was super rare and Dino was the lucky recipient.
Despite the fact that life had dealt him such a shitty hand, Dino was a good person.
Due to his condition, work wasn't exactly on the table; due to the whole dying thing.
No one would employ him.
But he'd still keep himself busy.
At care homes, helping the elderly.
At the local orphanage, teaching the older children basic maths, English and some history and geography.
For the younger children he'd read stories or make them up.
Stories of gallant heroes, god-like adventures and super powered beings from otherworld's.
It was fair to say that the children, old and young loved him but as did everyone else in his life, they would eventually leave and he'd still be stuck; never going forward or backwards.
Time rolled by.
Dino was 23.
He was still helping out at care homes and at the orphanage.
But the difference between when he was 21 and 23 was simply success.
When he was 22 he had decided to write the stories, he'd told the children over the years down into books and their success exploded.
Selling millions of copies all over the world.
Some had even been turned into movies and comics.
Gaining success similar to the marvel movies and comics.
Fanfiction had even started to be written about them, which Dino had to admit he enjoyed reading.
So let's just say he wasn't short on money.
Despite the fact he was pretty much rolling in cash, he never kept more than he needed.
The money he'd earnt went straight back into the orphanage where all of his stories had originated.
Because of this, he became the orphanages biggest donor and its biggest helper.
The children's lives became better than ever.
They all knew where it came from, their big brother Dino or that's at least what all of them had taken to calling him.
He still read to the younger children and taught the older children which they all seemed to listen to more than their actual teachers.
The only down side to all to the last few years was the fact that Dino's heart condition had become more life-threatening.
How you ask?
Unlike before, where there was only a chance of him dying at any moment; now it was almost a certainty. Although he was safe as long as he didn't physically stress his body, which was pretty simple with his current lifestyle.
Well that's what he thought anyway.
