Chapter 553: Poison But Not Poison

As soon as the first few people were freed, they helped the others escape as well. One of them, Deanna's assistant, quickly picked up the dropped tablet from Rick and began typing on it, quickly freeing the ones who were trapped on the floors below.

As for Rick, he and the pilot were quickly detained by the incoming security forces after having woken up. Rick wasn't that strong in the first place and having been thrown by Laz then beaten down by his aura and that of the visiting lust god, he was out for a while. By the time he came to, a collar had already been placed around his neck, negating his powers. 

As for Deanna, she was still in a bad way, but being looked at by some of the medical staff.

"This corporate office has a medical staff? Brittany asked at one point.

"Don't think too much into it," Laz responded.
