The three disciples had lead Souta to the Flying fist sect with downtrodden gazes, they were still cursing themselves for having volunteering for this mission. As they made it the entrance to sect they were stopped by the guards and asked for their names.
"Ginjuro, Nagini, and Liam returning from bandit cleansing" said Ginjuro as the guards began looking at Souta
"Souta, here to join" said Souta staring straight into the guards eyes causing him to shutter
"Of course just have these three take to see the elder of initiation" said the guard hurrying them along.
The three cried at their own misery, the guard stuck them with Souta now they had to be the ones to introduce him to the elder of initiation.
As he followed behind Ginjuro and the other two he looked all around the sect at the different faces and places and had to admit he was actually a bit impressed. He was not here to see the sights though he was looking for the guy with the staff and his accomplices.
"Brother this is the where the elder of initiation stays" said Ginjuro trying to get away
"Introduce us" said Souta looking at Ginjuro blankly
Ginjuro cried when he heard that and knocked on the door before entering with Souta behind him.
"Elder I have brought someone wishing to join the sect and requires the initiation" said Ginjuro bowing
"Why does he not bow" asked the Elder walking from behind a screen of beads
"I bow for no one" said Souta quite clearly
"Oh a feisty one eh, very well I will make you bow today young man" said the Elder taking a stance
"Old man you are just going to get humiliated" said Souta staring into this old man's eyes
The elder felt a chill but shook it off before charging at Souta and disappearing from the place he stood but that soon ended when Souta caught him midair and kicked him in the stomach fiercely.
"Fine he passes, but young man just cause you beat doesn't mean you can do as you please there are many who are far stronger than I" said the old man tossing a talisman to Souta
"Ginjuro take him to his dwelling" said the old man as he wheezed his way back to the beads.
Ginjuro was in shock of how fast it was over and was thanking his lucky stars that he hadn't refused Souta so far.
Ginjuro stepped out and saw the other two had left, he sighed and lead Souta to his designated living space.
"This is your assigned living space" said Ginjuro before turning to leave, Souta didn't hold him up as he looked through the small bit of land, the cottage on this piece of land was of meager size being a living room with a fire pit and then a personal room for sleeping.
'This place is kind of dated isn't it' thought Souta it was like he had returned to ancient times or something.
Souta shook his head and sat his large pot in the fire pit and went to the well out back and drew some water or at least tried to until he learned there was no bucket. Shaking his head he began looking through his Bottomless pack using the various Bottomless bags to store the things that weren't too large, sewed a coupled more into the lining of his cloth of his armor and stashed the remaining five in the newly sewn ones.
He continued digging through the Bottomless pack and eventually learned he had no bucket, he was sure he had grabbed one.
'Oh yeah I used the bowls to fill the pot, I guess its a good thing I have something to trade to get some buckets' thought Souta as he stepped out of his dwelling and walked to where he remember seeing a market.
Along the way he gained many curious looks due to the style of his armor and the sword on his back, but he ignored them and continued forth. Eventually he arrived at the traders stalls, he looked around and eventually found one trading house hold items.
"Hello senior Daoist how may I be of assistance to you" asked the trader paying special attention to the odd get up.
"I require two buckets, also add a furnace" said Souta causing the trader to let out a surprised expression, a furnace was a big sell for him so he started paying a bit more respect towards this man.
"Of course Senior Daoist, may I see what you wish to trade" asked the trader just to be sure
Souta showed four rolls of silk and a couple jewels, causing the man to gasp before he ran back and started barking orders and two younger men came out.
"Senior Daoist sir we will build your furnace after you complete your purchase. If you have any other tasks we can complete those as well" said the two young men standing at the side.
Souta nodded before pulling out a couple more jewels and setting them on the counter of the stall.
"Go ahead have these to construct a forge there's a little extra there for a tip if they can build it quickly and reliably" said Souta looking at the trader
"Of course Senior Daoist, you heard him boys start hauling the materials to his abode immediately and don't slack on the construction" said the trader bringing two buckets for Souta and loading a wagon of materials.
"Follow me" said Souta as the two young men followed closely
Souta and company arrived back to his dwelling where Souta a bucket to a rope to draw water from the well and the young men began unloading materials.
Souta returned to his house and began cooking after finally drawing his water, he sat in the silence other than the sounds of labor coming from outside. He meditated steadying his mind as he still felt that nagging feeling for him to seek vengeance for the bandits but he had to play it cool bide his time.
He was brought from his reverie when there came a knock on the door, opening it he saw it was the two young men.
"Senior Daoist the sun is setting and we must get the wagon back to the trader we will return tomorrow to finish" said the older of the two before they bowed and left.
Souta shook his head before returning and sitting before the pot again waiting for it to finish, as the water started to boil over Souta added potatoes and pulled the pot from the fire. waiting for the final measure of his meal.
Finding the potatoes had dissolved completely he scooped a bowl of porridge and placed a lid over the pot and placed in a hole in the ground. As he ate he thought over a couple things.
'I am now in a martial arts sect, a place where various techniques and schools of battle come together. It would be foolish not to supplement my arsenal by picking up a few tricks. If I remember correctly the guy with the staff seemed to be important, so if I start gaining a bit of reputation I can find him' Souta finished his scheming and laid down in his personal room and went into a half dormant sleeping state.
