Chapter 76: Chapter 75 - The Plan
I couldn't believe it. Someone had already finished and already left. I wished it was me. But it wasn't.
Instead, here I was, a pink cross across my chest and friends that could turn into enemies at click of a switch.

I have to stop doubting myself, and my friends.
Maria always said that we need to believe in others, and have faith.
Believe in those around you, and you'll see.

"Let's move. Let's not waste the opportunity that boy is giving us."
"So, what's the plan, Caleb." Janice says as she drops a coin, removing the green cross and picking it back up. Creating a Ding Noise, each time she drops it and a Dong noise every time she picks it up. Flashing green and removing it at the same time.
She did not look phased at all. She was just playing with her coins.
"Soon those silly kids will get smart about it and wait at the bell tower. I mean if I was in their shoes, wouldn't it be better to steal at the finish line?" Janice continued seeing that Caleb was still thinking.
Turning around, and peeking through the tiny gap, under the wagon, I studied the path to the Bell Tower again. The easiest way to get there would definitely be the road in the centre, but it was also the most dangerous route.
The kids were now fighting over the coins with one another, it was an endless cycle! One moment you get the coin, the next, its snatched by another kid and repeat!
"Any updates?" Janice was losing her patience.
"We hide and take the hardest route."
"Meaning?"
"We go into the taverns and find a way to get closer."
"But that will take forever…"
"I know, but it's the only way."
"The hard part, is how we are going to sneak from our current location and make it over there."
He was pointing to a large wooden door, that had a crack in its base, probably broken by a wagon smashing into it. It would be big enough for us to slide through.
"Well, that's easy, we just past our coins to Evelyn, and our cross will disappear."
"The girl is pretty good at running, why don't we just let her run to the other side? It wouldn't even take a minute."
"And if shit hits the wall, we can get rid of any kids that tag along?"
"How does that sound?"
Janice's plan sounded reasonable, if any kids really did come after us, with their experienced with their weapons, it sounded like it would be achievable.
"Wait, we don't need heroes."
"Well smartie pants, I don't see you throwing out any ideas. Besides, I'll make sure she makes it to the other side alive."
"And why are you so sure?"
"Because if anyone is going to kill her, it would be me! That immunity is mine."
Smiling she turned back to me, and gave me a wink.
"Evelyn darling, don't even think about running away with our coins. Or you'll be in a much worse situation than that poor boy. Got it?"
"Got it."
I looked at where we were, and the door, it didn't look far at all, it was definitely something I could do.
"Leave it with me."
