Chapter 51: Chapter 51: Sisters
In the moonlight, the shadow of a girl runs past. Tina can faintly make out the empty shaft, and the longbow strapped across her chest. The girl is fast, her steps are quiet, and she moves as if she is a professional hunter, but she is injured.
She drops to the floor. Not too far away from Tina. A hand reach away.
Tina can see clearly now. The girl is soaked in blood. Deep wounds across the chest, cuts in her tights, and an arrow sticking out of her arm. She is a dead girl.
But the girl doesn't give up. She rolls to the side, her back against the wall, hiding under a table. She rips fabric off her skirt and stuffs it into her mouth. In a flash, she pulls out the arrow, and wraps the wound, without a single scream.
Clamp. Clamp.
The thugs were coming, there were at least five of them. All armed. Swords, Axe, spears and even a Baseball bat.
"Where is that bitch?"
The footsteps were getting louder.
"Come out, come out. Wherever you are."
"When we find you, your going to wish you were dead…"
Five Metres.
The girl's hand reaches out for the knife strapped to her ankle. Her breathes slow, but ready to fight.
"Hey Sister, need some help?
Ruby caught off guard, but her hands are like lightning, pulling into her hands the pair of knives like a professional.
"Woah, your fast." Tina waited for a reply but got none, only eyes staring right back. "Look, I see you are in a situation, I can help."
"Look there is no way you are going to beat the five of them with your measly little knife. I know because I had the same experience happen to me not too long ago. So why don't we work together as a team."
"…"
"I'll take that as a yes."
"You seem to be out of arrows, luckily for you, I have some." Tina throws over three arrows. "Now, you have four arrows. But it doesn't mean anything if you cannot aim. How good are you with your bow?"
"I don't miss."
"Wonderful! You finally speak. I was starting to think that you were mute."
Four Metres.
"This is what's going to happen hon, I am going to charge in and you are going to be my backup."
"But…"
"I don't need your help."
Three meters.
"Look who's a chatterbox now, anyways do they have coins?"
"Yes."
"Wonderful, let's go kick some butt."
Before Ruby even has a chance to reply, Tina bolts out, slamming the base of her spear on the sandy floor. Standing tall, she stares straight at the five boys.
"Hello, ladies! Were you looking for me?"
"Who…"
Tina doesn't waste any time, she charges forward, spear out, she stabs the closest boy in the chest and throws him at the boy with the long sword. Dropping them both to the floor.
It's chaotic, the boys don't know what has hit them, but the one wielding the axe lunges it towards Tina's head.
T'chi!
An arrow plunges into the boy's head, stopping him in his track, with his axe over his head. He drops to his knees and falls forward, face smacking the floor with a loud thump.
"Good Job." Tina cheers, as she stabs the two boys in the head.
Dung. Dung. Dung.
"Not very nice, are you?"
"Just two more."
Tina dives towards her next target, with a quick slide kick she trips the boy and stabs her spear through his heart. The remaining boy turns to run, but an arrow hits his dead with a loud crack he drops to the floor.
Dung. Dung.
"Are you ready? Ruby. Let's see what treasures we have here." Tina turns the dead bodies and looting the coins from them.
There is a total of eight coins.
She throws four towards Ruby and a green cross goes across their chest.
Ding. Ding.
"That is one annoying bell. At least ring in the same tone."
"Anyways girl, since we are such a good team. Why don't we make it to the bell together, what do you think?"
"…"
"I'll take it as a yes."
