Chapter 20: Side Story # 4 * Wedding Of Cold Beauty Uchiha Mikoto
He ran faster and faster, deeper and deeper into the woods, shedding tears as he ran away. Away from the pain, the suffering, the tears, the depressing atmosphere that lingered in the air. Today was the day of the wedding of a very important person. The betrayal that affected one person the most. Ryo. His whole world had been torned, crushed, ripped apart.
She was special to him, as he was to her. She loved Ryo and chased him almost every day. It was sorta like a routine. But now that routine is going to be gone. She wasn't here anymore. Her cheerful attitude, her dazzling jade green eyes, her smile, and laughter are now gone. This person is none other than the cold beauty Uchiha Mikoto.
The wedding is today. About halfway through the wedding, if one listens carefully one could hear sobs. The crying was coming from Ryo. "why", muttered Ryo as he cried. He suddenly ran off leaving everyone, no one seemed to notice the absence of one shinobi amongst the crowd of them, no one except for one person Uchiha Mikoto. Everyone continued the funeral without him. Now, Ryo stopped in the middle of a giant clearing with a pond that has a log where you can sit down and enjoy the scenery. He sat on the log and cried his broken heart out.
"WHY? WHY WHY WHY WHY? WHY DID YOU HAVE TO LEAVE ME MIKOTO? I-I-I LOVED YOU!", sobbed Ryo. His eyes opened up fast. 'Did I seriously just blurt that out loud?', he thought.
"Yes Ryo, Yes you did, and I heard it.", said a voice. "Huh? Who said that? Show yourself!", he exclaimed.
"Look beside you!", said the voice. Ryo looked beside him and almost fainted at the sight the person beside him. "Mikoto?" He suddenly began blushing slightly. Mikoto looked absolutely beautiful. She wore a stunning white dress that showed a little bit of cleavage and reached her knees. Around her waist, was a hot pink ribbon that sparkled, even if there was no sunlight. There was an invisible faint white aurora glowing around her.
She giggled and said, "Hey Ryo. How's it going?".
"Terrible since you left…", he said as one little tear slipped out of the corner of his eye.
Mikoto lifted her finger and wiped the tear away. "Please don't be sad Ryo. It hurts me more than it hurts you." , she said sadly.
"How can I continue living my life without you? You always seemed to lift my spirits every time I saw you. Truth be told, I always enjoyed it whenever you chased me. I'm sorry for running away from you all the time, by the way. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings if I did, Mikoto… it makes me sad and depressed to think that you aren't here with me anymore. I think it hurts me more.", he said.
"Ryo… I forgive you for running away. I understand. And you lifted my spirits whenever I saw you. But I think it hurts me more because, well, I love you Ryo. I still do and I always will, even if I am gone.", she said.
"Mikoto… do you wanna know a secret?"
"Sure Ryo." By this point, they were looking at each other, leaning closer and closer until their lips were inches apart. "I l-love you… I always did I always will.....you are my light my entire reason to live and that will never change ever", he whispered.
"I know you silly, don't you remember...I told you didn't I, I have always loved you, I will always love you!! for you are the one who taught me how to love"
The gap between them closed and they kissed passionately. To Ryo, the kiss felt so real to him. Even if she was Nothing but a dream. Her lips tasted like ripe strawberries and she smelled like sweet sugar. Sadly, to their disappointment, they had to end the kiss because they needed oxygen.
When he opened his eyes there was no one there the dream was over before he even lived it fully, "Don't leave, *Hic* Please don't leave! I want you to stay with me! *hic* I love you!! I LOVE YOU!" he cried.
