Chapter 9: Start of the Training
Early morning in Yue clan's Fourth Branch Residence.
In the courtyard, Yue Yang sit in a chair while he face Fourth mother. Between them was a table that almost full with several book that stack with each other.
"San-er, I already search through and compile these manual from clan's archive that will help you in training. But do you have any preference in weapon?", ask Fourth mother after she explain each of the manual in table.
"Fourth mother, for now I prefer using blade. It was more easy to master and the offensive power was also quite good, especially when ambushing the enemy. What I need urgently now is to get used to battle since I never fight an enemy before", said Yue Yang after short contemplation.
"Alright, using blade is also quite good. I'll try to get some blade for you to practice. However, since I'm not a combatant, Fourth mother can't guide you to train. But I'll try to help you in other needs. For example, I can help you to get spirit beasts. Do you have any in mind? I will try to procure it for you as long it was possible", ask Fourth mother.
"In that case, Fourth mother, please just give me Spitting Thorny Flower. It should be easy to get since Plant-type spirit beasts are not popular in the summoning world", replied Yue Yang.
"Are you sure San-er, Plant-type spirit beasts are not that strong compare to other type of spirit beast?, ask Fourth mother a bit hesitate.
"It's fine Fourth mother. I have a believe that there are no weak spirit beasts, only weak summoners. As long as I groom it diligently it will grow up to be more powerful in the future", Yue Yang said with determination.
"In that case, alright then. I can easily buy Spitting Thorny Flower since they were quite cheap. When I go to get Spitting Thorny Flower, you should study all this manual. You shouldn't bite more than you can chew and just pick the manual that was most suitable for you". Fourth mother ask imploringly.
"Don't worry Fourth mother, I know my own limit. By the way Fourth mother, this maybe quite presumptuous of me but can you ask Yue clan main branch to give me Quintet Seeking Golden Mice. Compare to the other three major clan, our Yue clan is superior in puppeteering, and I want to study it for a bit. Quintet Seeking Golden Mice should be easy to get since they were not precious", ask Yue Yang in pleading voice.
"And I just told you to not bite more than you can chew. Fine then, I'll get Quintet Seeking Golden Mice for you, but you shouldn't under any circumstances contract them. They were quite useless and only waste summoning pages", warn Fourth mother.
"Don't worry Fourth mother, I know what I shouldn't do", replied Yue Yang.
After that, Fourth mother leave the courtyard and made Yue Yang alone in front of pile of manual.
"Well, this will be quite boring, but like they say, knowledge is power. Before I start training, I need to read all this book first so that I'll not train blindly. After I have some means to defend myself, I'll ask Fourth mother to send me to the Ivy academy", said Yue Yang to himself.
When he already grab a few book and about to read them, he suddenly remember that he still haven't spent his gacha points.
"Damn, I forgot that I have 2 gacha points from last night. I'll spent them first, who knows that maybe I can get something useful", said Yue Yang while he used his gacha skill.
"Hopefully, I'll get something useful. Spin start!", Yue Yang said in excitement.
After that, the gacha orb flash with different color for a few times, before finally stop at bronze color.
After that, an item that resemble some dish appear in his inventory.

Yue Yang decide to only eat this food inside his room later since he don't want to have a reputation as exhibitionist pervert.
After that Yue Yang spin gacha once again and hope that he will get something that will help him since he only have one more gacha point.
Not long later, the gacha orb finally stop flashing at gold color, indicating SR rank or gold rank item.

"Nice.... This skill is quite timely. With shadow clone skill, I can shorten my training time by multiple times. In Naruto, this skill use chakra though, I wonder if I'll be able to use it using mana", Yue Yang mused.
After ensuring that the courtyard was devoid of peoples, Yue Yang tried to used the skill, and it give him all informations regarding shadow clones skill including the hand-seal.
Yue Yang tried to used the hand-seal but failed for a few times since he was not used to made a hand-seal.
After numeroues tried, Yue Yang finally managed to succesfully invoke the hand-seal, and suddenly two identical clones of himself appeared beside him.
"Hahahaha, success!", said Yue Yang with glee.
"Alright guys, time to study all this manual. I'm not expecting too much, but I hope at least it will give us a direction in training our martial arts", Yue Yang order his shadow clones.
""Roger, main body"", replied both of shadow clones.
After that, the three of them read the books and training manuals in the table.
However, less than an hour later, Yue Yang disperse both the shadow clones since he can feel that his mana was about to diminished.
Right after he dispersed both of them, Yue Yang was assaulted by a pang in his mind.
The headache keep continue for several minutes until finally dispersed completely, making Yue Yang feel like all the pain was a dream.
"Damn, this headache is really painful. At time like this I really hope to have a Gamer skill to assist me in getting Mind Resistance skill", lament Yue Yang.
After that, Yue Yang sort the informations that he got for a moment before he continue to read the rest of books. Since his mana was still depleted, he will not use his shadow clones again until he restore his mana to the fullest.
After Yue Yang finished all the books, finally he managed to had the necessary knowledges in training his martial arts. All of them including the exercise, and what kind of actions that shouldn't be doing that possibly lead Yue Yang to Qi deviations.
After that, Yue Yang start his training and cooped up in his residence for a year.

A year later, Yue Yang reached the age of 10 years old.
There aren't any changes visible to his body aside that he was taller a few inchs and his body was a bit more robust compared to other kids of the same age.
Right now Yue Yang still cooped up in his own residence to continue his training.
Ever since he arrived at this world, he only keep training his martial arts and increased his proficiency in wielding blade.
After all, he don't want to unknowingly getting killed by the stronger people when he get out of his house. He need to had some strength first before he start his adventure.
This action of his even made the servants refer to him in secret as training maniac. Well, Yue Yang was not really mind for being cooped up in his own house, since in the past life he was quite a hikkikomori himself and seldom go out of the house with the exception when he start work part time in order to buy gacha credits.
Currently, he was waiting for the arrival of Fourth mother and Yue Bing.
It was almost a year since both of them leave the house not long after Yue Yang start his training.
Fourth mother told him that there was an urgent matter in her birth clan that need her presence, and most likely they can only come back after a year. At that time, Yue Bing was crying and throwing a tantrum since she can't bear to be apart from Yue Yang for a year.
Although Fourth mother didn't told Yue Yang about what kind of matter that happened in her birth clan, Yue Yang guessed that maybe this matter have to do with Yue Shuang.
After all, Yue Shuang should already be born when Yue Yang was 9 years old.
In the novel, there was a mention that both his mother and fourth mother was born from world tree, and their marriage was just a sham. They just use some blood of the male when the child is born through the world tree to make others think that they are their children through blood test, this is also including both Yue Bing and Yue Shuang.
Yue Yang didn't sure though wether this saying was true or merely a hearsay, since his memory of the novel is kind of blurry, not to mention the informations about his mother and fourth mother's clan, Hundred Flower Clans was quiet scarce.
Anyway, Yue Yang didn't want to dwell on this question since he will found out in the future anyway, once he was already strong enough.
During this one year, there were many news about the whole Soaring Dragon Continent powerhouse, such as the birth of new powerhouse, or the fight over treasure, etc. There are also several infromation about the happenings in Yue clan, especially the birth of new prodigy from first branch eldest, Yue Tian, that managed to contracted the grimoire at the age of 10.
This event happened one year ago, since Yue Tian was one year older than Yue Yang. At that time, all branch members including Yue Yang were invited to the clan main headquarter to attend the banquet to celebrate the success of Yue Tian's grimoire contracting.
Although this was a bit over the top, it can't be helped since Yue clan currently was at the bottom ranking among the four major clans in Da Xia Kingdom.
Yue clan currently was in urgent need to nurture many prodigy in order to raise their status among four major clans.
By celebrating Yue Tian success, the main clan hope that the other branch members will have their motivation raised and increased their hardwork in cultivating.
Although this has nothing to do with Yue Yang, at that time of banquet he was quite pissed since the first branch keep gloating over their new prodigy, especially when Yue Tian show off his guardian beast in front of Yue Yang and mock him for being worthless since they thought that Yue Yang was still not contracted the grimoire yet.
Yue Yang many times hold back his urge to released Lucy to deal with this brat. He truly want to slapped their face by showing them his own summoning grimoire.
That's why, once Fourth mother back home, he'll ask her to tell the main clan that he was already successfully contracted the summoning grimoire.
This will not only shut Yue Tian and his first branch, but also to get cultivating resources from clan.
After all, Yue clan main branch already promised to give bountiful cultivating resources to any clan childs that manage to contract the grimoire, and the earlier their age in contracting the grimoire, they will get more resources compare to those that contracted the grimoire at the late age.
Although this action will reveal his strength a bit, he need to show them his talent and strength in order to not make fourth mother and Yue Bing being bullied by other branch members.
In this one year, thanks to cultivating resources that were left behind by Fourth mother and his Anime Gacha System, Yue Yang manage to have battle power equivelent to level 5 [Grandmaster] although his summoning ranks was still remain at Level 1-Advanced [Apprentice].
Even his rank up from beginner to advanced was not because he deliberately used his spirit beast to battle enemies, but because he often summoned them to trained his proficiency in using their ability.
