Adam walked outside the room before the door clicked behind him. His expression slightly lost.
"How'd it go?" I asked him. He looked at me with a half smile.
"She's.. getting there." He said. I nodded before turning to the others.
" All right guys, let's give her some space. After all, she's been through quite a lot in the past week." They nodded in agreement. I turned to face Sasha
"Back to the main topic at hand, we need to figure out who did this as soon as possible." I stated seriously. I saw Adam's eyes glow brightly.
"Agreed." He said coldly. I couldn't help but shudder. He was terrifying!
"A-alright." I clapped my hands."for now let's focus on that, and make sure we look after David and Jewel in the meantime." I said.
"I don't know Sara, I doubt they will leave her side without throwing a fit, and Vikky needs her rest." Ivy spoke up. Sasha grinned proudly.
"Leave it to me! I know someone who is great with kids. They will love her!" She said. I raised a brow and glanced at her.
"What, do you not believe me?" She asked, as if my expression was so preposterous and unbelievable.
"Yes." I said. She huffed and put her hands on her hip.
"Just trust me! You'll see!" She said once again. I crossed my fingers and started to pray.

"So you called me back from a business meeting to look after kids?" Gracelyn was sitting on the couch glaring daggers at Sasha. Sasha rubbed their back of her neck.
"I never knew you were good with kids!" I said shocked while looking at Gracelyn. She rolled her eyes and sighed. The expression on her face being polar opposite to how she was tenderly carrying Jewel who was fast asleep.
"Nonsense! I'm not." She said. I giggled.
"Yes, of course." I responded. Just then, David came running over with a small truck in his hands, his purple eyes shinning brightly.
"Gracie! Look what I have!" He ran up to her and rested his small hand on her leg. Gracelyn's expression instantly melted.
"That's lovely! Do you like trucks a lot?" She asked in a small voice, much different from the way she was just talking. I glanced at Sasha to see she had the same expression on her face as me. A wide grin. After the exchange, David turned around and went back to playing with his toy on the carpet. Sasha coughed abruptly.
"I don't want to hear it." Gracelyn declared. We stayed quiet.
A few minutes of silence and Gracelyn had gone upstairs to put Jewel and David to bed. It was way past their bed time.
"I thought Gracelyn was on a business trip?" I asked turning to face Sasha. She shrugged.
"Said they only had some final details to clear up about the contract. Her manager could handle it." She explained. I nodded before remembering something.
"Right, I wanted to ask you something.." I said slowly.
"Shoot." Sasha said still facing me. I scratched the back of my neck awkwardly.
"Did, the doctors find anything about Vikky?" I asked. She stayed silent for a moment before responding, as if searching for the right words.
"Well, sorta. It's a bit confusing, they said that she either doesn't have powers or is hiding them. But to be hiding her powers even when she's unconscious takes a lot out of a person, even Gracelyn can't do it for that long.." she paused. "Then again, she wouldn't be attending SN academy if she didn't have powers."
I listen to her words before getting confused myself.
"But, if she is really strong, how come she wasn't able to leave that jerk hurting her? And why did her family completed abandon them?" I asked. Sasha shrugged.
"I really don't know.. there is a possibility that she doesn't know how to control them yet, and in the state of being under so much pressure they suddenly activate. But even then..." she stopped talking and shook her head.
"This girl truly is a mystery." She stated in a serious tone. I gulped slightly and nodded.
What were this girls powers??
