Chapter 20: The Jian family doesn't acknowledge her 2
It very bright when Xue Meili open her eyes, the sun was already out. The night sleep was still clearing from her eyes when she was pulling into Jung Jianguo's warm embrace.
"You now awake, how are you feeling I hope I didn't wear you down last night" He said and placed a kiss on her shoulder.
"No you didn't" she turned around and faced him.
"I missed you" He said.
"Me too, we have been so busy even though we're in the same production" She placed her hand on his muscular chest blushing.
"you know, you can stay home and I will raise you" he kissed her forehead.
"Why don't you stop work and I will raise you" She rubbed her nose on his.
"I have a better suggestion why don't we both stop work and travel the world" he replied.
"Maybe when we get older and our kids are now grown" she said.
"it's a deal" He replied and flipped her over on the bed and lying on n top of her began kissing her.

After breakfast Jung Jianguo and Xue Meili left Jung family Villa and headed back to their villa.
The Birthday party of old master Jian was one of the top social event that attracted the attention of the nations wealthiest families.
The banquet like most was very private so only invited guest and family members were allowed inside.
The security was very tight. Jian Mengyao and his mother were at the entrance of the banquet hall welcoming the guest.
Receiving of guest was a responsibility left to the younger generation but since the Jian's had only one child Jian Mengyao it was no surprise that he was left with the responsibilities.
Madam Jian was most definitely there to introduce him to the guests as the future head of the family.
It was already popular knowledge that Young Master Jian was engaged to Feng Mimi an actress but seeing as she was absence most were already speculating that the Jian family didn't acknowledge her so her presence wasn't necessary.
Xue Meili and Jung Jianguo on arrival walked forward and presented their invitation to the guards at the door before being allowed in.
"Xiao Li, Young master Jung welcome" Madam Jian said smiling.
"Aunty Jian" Xue Meili replied smiling.
This was the first time she was speaking face to face with Madam Jian and Jian In three years. She was so busy with filming so she wasn't able to attend any social event. She was only attending this event because of the Jian's were family friends.
"You are looking truly radiant Meili, don't you think so Mengyao"
"Yes she is, Young Master Jung" Jian Mengyao said in greeting.
As much as he disliked Xue Meili he still has to give her some face. She was the Young madam of the Jung family and his mother was really fond of her.
Jung Jianguo nodded in greeting and led Xue Meili inside. Madam Jung watched them walk in hand in hand and sighed, this son of hers really made a mistake.
She only hoped that he doesn't make any more mistakes like this. She really had to ensure that Feng Mimi didn't sink her claws any deeper, it was already be messy as it was.
"You will have to mend the fences with Meili, it really wouldn't do if you aren't in good terms" She said in low tones.
"She is already married mother I thought that by now you would've gotten used to the fact that I only liked Mimi" Jian Mengyao said looking forward.
He honestly didn't get why his mother liked Xue Meili but not Mimi. He knew it wasn't because of Mimi's family conditions considering she was very fond of Feng Mimi's younger sister and elder brother.
"I didn't mean as her husband that's already too late but as her friend the two of you used to be so close"
"O have already agreed to be civil and that is all I will ever be. I wouldn't let her hurt Mimi again"
"You are backing up the wrong tree Mengyao if there's anyone you shouldn't trust it's Feng Mimi" They began welcoming another guest their conversation forgotten.
Xue Meili and Jung Jianguo were greeted by other guest as they walked in. Everyone were socializing as the banquet hadn't began yet.
After a few minutes old masrer Jian and old madam Jian walked in a the banquet began. Everyone began walking up to where they sat to congratulate them, soon it was time for the presentation of gifts.
That was when Xue Meili caught sight of Lin Zhijie, Jung Zhillan's ex boyfriend and with a petite fair woman
She quickly looked at Jung Jianguo, he was too hung up with his conversation with Elder Master Su and hadn't seen them yet.
That was good, she thought until she remembered that Jung Zhillan was representing the Jung family in this banquet.
She was still trying to think of a way out when Jung Zhillan walked over to them dressed in a dark blue evening gown.
"Elder brother, Meili you already here am sorry for coming late I had an emergency surgery" Jung Zhillan said as she stood next to Xue Meili.
"Elder Master Su " she said in greeting.
Xue Meili had already turned to draw her attention to Lin Zhijie's presence when Elder Master Su began to introduce someone to them which Jung Zhillan clearly knew she stiffened.
Xue Meili quickly looked up to find that elder Master Su was introducing none other than Lin Zhijie as his son-in-law and the petite woman in his hands as Su Xianxu his daughter.
Jung Jianguo maintained a straight face and shock hands with Lin Zhijie before he quickly excused them and walked forward to take their seat.
Jung Zhillan not wanting to stay any longer walked over to Old master Jian and presented the Jung family's gift and with an excuse left the banquet but not before hearing from other guests that the Young Miss of the Su family was pregnant.
Jung Zhillan left the banquet and drove over to a club, She was feeling down and needed to feel happier.
She had always heard that the best way to get over a heartbreak was to get into another relationship.
She had always been very careful, never doing anything wild but that hasn't gotten her anything. Lin Zhijie broke up with her because in his words she was boring and independent.
She wanted to proof to herself that she could be fun so she decided to get drunk this night tomorrow was her free day and she wasn't on call so she could do that.
She had began seeing double when a man took a seat next to her and began offering to buy her drinks.
Jung Zhillan refused and stood to leave when the man held on to her tightly and began pulling her away.
She was already drunk and couldn't stand straight, she struggled against him trying to pull away when the man raised up his hands to slap her.
The man was about bringing it down when he was punched on the face and Jung Zhillan was held steady. She looked up to find herself in the hands of Shen Mingyu a family friend.
