Chapter 17: The scandal that rocked her boat
The phone rang two times before Fang Mimi could summon the courage to answer it, Madam Jian had never liked her even though she had basically watched her.
She couldn't say that it was because of her status, Madam Jian was quite fond of her youngest sister.
She cleared her throat and swiped right to answer the call, as soon as the call connected she said with her sweet voice that always worked on everyone.
"Madam Jian, how ar.." she was still speaking when a cold voice said
"Meet me at Nam Shen restaurant" after which the call was cut.
Fang Mimi quickly jumped out of the bed and ran to the bathroom to have her bath, Nam Shen was Madam Jian favourite Chinese restaurant which was owned by the Shen family an ancient Chinese family that believed in maintaining the Chinese culture and hence protected historical land marks, costomes and traditions.
Fang Mimi was dressed and left for Nam Shen restaurant at record time, she would be to her own detriment if she kept Madam Jian waiting especially since she was the CEO and chairwoman of the board of directors of Jian Cosmetics.
Fang Mimi drove into Nam Shen restaurant parking lot which was located at the first gate. She got down from the car and headed to the restaurant reception which was located at the first gate. Nam Shen restaurant was not open to just anyone,
it catered to the 1% of society. This was where business deal were made, the Shen family was a very old family, they were as respected and powerful as the Jung's.
The both families were very close that a marriage match was rumored to be arranged, the jury is still out on that.
Even though Nam Shen restaurant catered to the rich and powerful it was not the only restaurant owned by the Shen family.
Tai Li restaurant which was the biggest Chinese restaurant after Nam Shen restaurant which is owned by the Shen family was open to the public.
She walked up to the receptionist who was dressed in a bright red Qipao said with a gentle smile
"Hello and welcome to Nam Shen restaurant, How may I be of service?
This was Fang Mimi's first time here so she didn't quite know what to expect so she was a bit absent minded and didn't hear what was the receptionist said, that the receptionist had to repeat herself.
Even then the receptionist still maintained her gentle smile. The workers of Nam Shen restaurant were well trained,as expected of a restaurant that catered to 1%.of the society.
"am sorry hello am here to meet Madam Jian" Fang Mimi replied.
The receptionist quickly looked through the reservation before handing her a security pass and directing her to west pavilion number 5 which Madam Jian already reserved.
Fang Mimi thanked the receptionist and walked headed to the pavilion.
As soon as she was out of the Nam Shen restaurant reception the smile on her face quickly disappeared, She was aware that the Jian family had their own permanently reserved pavilion as did most of the too families.
It was basically a big slap on the face that Madam Jian didn't even invite her to the pavilion but instead reserved a separate one entirely, it took all her strength to maintain her smile.
A few minutes later she arrived at the private pavilion and was lead, she removed her shoes and walked into the room.
Madam Jian, Gao Huiqing was already having a cup of tea when she walked in.
"good morning mother, sorry for keeping you waiting" Fang Mimi said after talking a seat opposite Gao Huiqing.
"Leave us" Gao Huiqing said dismissing the waiter, who bowed and walked out of the room.
"Mengyao informed me that you and father were out of the country a few days ago. I trust that your trip went well Madam Jian? Fang Mimi asked as soon as the waiter drew the Chinese doors closed. Fang Mimi was about to speak when Gao Huiqing bushed a file to her.
Gao Huiqing could never tell what her son saw in her, even with the convincing evidence he remained firm on his believes. Luckily with this new scandal Mengyao's resolve was bound to reduce hence why she was meeting with Fang Mimi this moment.
She opened the file to find pictures of her meeting with Director Li and few investors and directors. She was still trying to form words when madam Jian pushed some pictures next to the file.
"I neither have time nor energy to hear any of your excuses, I called you hear to tell you that you had better break it off with Mengyao or face the consequences" Gao Mengyao said and rang the bell to invite the waiter inside.
"Her order is on me" she said to the waiter and stood. She walked forward and standing next to Feng Mimi said
"You have two weeks to think about that" She walked out of the room leaving Feng Mimi to her thoughts.
A few minutes later she drank up her tea and walked out of the room still maintaining a slight smile. Fear and anger was still eating into her when the maids announced that Jian Mengyao was back. She quickly ran out of the room and into his hand.
"Elder brother Mengyao your back" She said in a very sweet voice.
"Did you miss me ? Jian Mengyao said placing his hands on her shoulder and walking into their bedroom. As soon as they walked into the room she quickly shut the door and quickly jumped into his arms and began kissing and touching him.
A few minutes later they were both satisfied and lying on the bed. Jian Mengyao was already fast asleep with Feng Mimi lying in his arm when her phone vibrated indicating a new message. She untangled her self and picked up the phone,it was a message from Lei Lan. She clicked on the screen and opened the message
"sister MImi I have made an appointment with the fertility clinic for tomorrow"
She knows she can trust on Lei Lan to arrange everything, she had already thought of getting pregnant a long time ago but she always thought that it would be after marriage but Madam Jian's threat has made her shift her plans forward.
