Chapter 5: Locksift Kingdom
"You can't be serious Sis! You were attacked by demons in the woods? " Lyn exclaimed, "Are you hurt? "
Blue shrugged, "They weren't going for me anyway. Just that annoying potato ruining dragon. "
"Forget about the potatoes! Are they going to send more dragons to harass you again? " Lyn asked worriedly.
Blue gave her a look that said 'DUH'
Blue left the kitchen bringing with her some chips into the living room.
Then I siren sounded. It reverberated through the houses on Keying Street.
Demons.
Another higher pitched siren.
High-tier demons.
"How? " Lyn exclaimed. "You sealed all of the high-tier ones! "
"Get in the basement! Quick!" Blue ordered.
"What about you? "
"Never mind QUICK! "
Blue shoved Lyn into the basement and ran out of the house.
Demons with blood wings and shape shifting abilities swarmed the houses.
"HELP MEEEE! HELP! " a man screamed.
The Demon Control Team was trying to kill the demon but it was nearly impossible as the soul of the man was sapped into the demon.
"DOWN! " Blue shouted and unleashed a string of magic.
The demon dropped and the man was flunged.
"Catch him! " Blue ordered a piece of cloth hiding in her jacket.
The cloth made a beeline for the man, expanded itself and caught him before he crashed into a house.
"You! It's not safe out here! Into your basement NOW! " a demon control recruit ordered.
Blue was really disgusted being ordered around by a mere recruit and ignored him. There we're about 25 high-tiered demons.
A claw ripped into the recruit started bleeding.
Blue fought with 3 demons while the team was helaing the recruit and fighting a demon.
"Useless." Blue muttered.
A dragon from the DCT raised and breathed out fire at one of the demons.
"DON'T! The houses are wood made! They haven't been upgraded to fire proof yet! Stop that d*mn dragon! "
A house caught on fire. Lyn's house.
Blue got irritated and finished the demons she was fighting.
She ran to Lyn's house and quickly put the fire out. She ran inside.
"Lyn! Are you okay? " Blue asked from outside the door.
"Yes, I am fine, Demon Control Team! " Lyn's voice came.
"Lyn it's me Blue! " Blue asked nervously.
"Oh Blue! Where have you been? Come down here quickly! The demons will get you! " Lyn shouted.
Blue realised that her best friend was in trouble. The demons had got to her.
"LYN! "
Blue smashed the door down and saw a demon sucking the soul out of Lyn.
"GET AWAY FROM HER! "
Blue shot a burst of invisible force at the demon and killed it with one shot. More demons surrounded.
Another siren sounded. A low sounding siren.
Demons we're swarming everywhere. There was nothing the government could do and they were starting to evacuate. They were going to send trucks. Bring the people to the military camp. They'll keep the people there.
"It's not safe here anymore. We're going to Locksift. " Blue whispered and she ward off the demons.
"I thought only dragons can exit and enter because of the high magic levels. " Lyn said softly.
She had barely enough energy to speak.
"Portal. We're going by my portals. Now sleep. You need to heal. "
Lyn slowly closed her eyes.
Blue healed a hole in her heart that her soul was escaping from. Then she made a portal to Locksift Kingdom.
She carried Lyn into the portal with her.
