Chapter 1: The beginning
"What the hell?" In the void asked a floating ball, it seems translucent yet glowing yellow, a strange existence indeed, this is the soul of a young man known as Walter as for the reason he is here well that is something that he will soon find out
"Welcome young soul!" Suddenly a shout was heard and a bright white light flashed in front of the soul which seconds later revealed itself to be a young lady
She is wearing strange kimono-like clothes which consist of white and blue colors, she has brownish blue hair falling down her left side and a silk scarf with red beads at the end which seems to be floating around her
'What. The. Hell.' Thought the soul and it is surely going to think that many more times this day if the soul could sight in its ethereal form it would have sighted, it knows this is going to be a long ass day
"Now, now I know I'm fabulous but before you start to scream out my name let me tell you the reason why you are here." The woman said while having a smug smile and a humble but deeply boastful face as if telling everybody 'I'm number one!'
'Who the hell would cheer your name! Besides that I don't even know your name!' Thought Walter as he looked at the woman, the situation is too strange for him to even think about how he got here but his logical thinking is still there
"Now enjoy and be overjoyed young soul, the god Samir was bored because he lived too long so he thought about the way to be entertained and made a poll of the recently deceased souls and you have randomly been chosen as the soul to undertake the mission he has given out." The woman said a real shocker this time, an elderly person would probably have a heart attack right now if that elderly person could even have a body in the void but Walter is neither old nor does he have a heart problem, hell he doesn't even have a body right now
"Now are you ready to get your powers to undertake the mission!" The lady said, she really has a cheerful personality now doesn't she, besides that she is going way to fast for any mortal not just Walter
"Wait, wait, wait. What is that mission? And why does a God even do this, he knows everything wouldn't this just be a repeat of what he saw about me happen? And who are you?" Walter asked, he is more than just confused about his situation, he is surprisingly calm even thou he just died but he attributes that to something that the god did but all this about a mission is confusing him honestly it all seems a little fishy to him
"Aha, that is what you are confused about. Well, my beautiful self is Mera, I'm a gods messenger, or more precisely the God Samir's messenger, the most awesome messenger of them all. As for your mission well it is to entertain Samir. As for why he is doing that it is because you have confused the powers of gods. A God knows everything that is happening right now and what happened in the past but the future s known only to the Lady's of fate, a group of females that can know the future but even they are not completely sure. Ain the Lady of fate that can most accurately guess the future can guess correctly only 96.86% of the time. So what Samir wants you to do is to be that 3.14% and surprise him." Mera explained how it all works and his purpose for being here and honestly it amuses Walter how everyone who worships god thinks that he is all-powerful, all-knowing and that every action he does has a bigger meaning yet as it turns out it doesn't
"Alright, I'm ready to receive my powers." Although Walters' voice sounded flat he is actually very excited but for some reason when he is in the soul form he cannot change the tone and pitch of his voice, actually is it even a sound, since he is in soul form can he actually produce sounds but that is a question for another time
"Well then, the way of getting your powers is simple. You will spin a wheel 3 times, and each time the wheel will land on a different world. Then you will spin 3 wheels 2 times getting 2 powers from each world. Besides that, you will get a modification which allows you to modify anything as long as it remains the same at the core. You can get more modifications and powers if you sacrifice or restrict something like HxH." Mera explained the rules and regulations of the power choosing which is not choosing it's more like a luck-based game and suddenly a big wheel appeared next to her
The wheel is very big, over 10 meters high, there are hundreds of names and colors on the wheel while the arrow on the wheel is constantly unanimously pointing down
"Now spin the wheel." Said Mera as Walters soul started to suddenly warp and change into a more humanoid form, but it's only humanoid as it gained 2 arms 2 legs and ahead, the soul form doesn't have any other features such as facial features nor reproductory organs
'For once in my life please let me have good luck.' Thought Walter as he inched closer and closer to the wheel which will decide his fate for the next few years, his palms are sweaty, his breathing is getting more and more haggard while his eyes are bloodshot or rather that would be the case if he had a real body, before he noticed it he was in front of the wheel
'It's now or never.' Thought Walter as he extended his right arm and grabbed the wheel, it was a weird feeling as if the wheel was both wooden and metal at the same time, it made Walter stop for a second before he resolved himself and spun the wheel
The wheel spun and spun, the arrow passed color after color, name after name and soon the wheel started slowing down before it came to a complete stop in front of a black name on a neon green background
It read 'Naruto', if Walter had a body he would have held his breath and at this moment exhaled, this was really turbulent for him after all this will determine his future
'Thankfully it's the Naruto world, whatever I get from Naruto is good.' Walter thought, its at least a world he knows about and even more so one of the most popular anime and manga with some of the coolest powers he just hopes he gets something good like an EMS
Steeling himself once again Walter put his hand on the wheel once again and this time he put his full power into the swing hoping to get something good
The sound of the spinning wheel once again resounded in the usually quiet void, while Walter was nervous to the point of trembling if he had a body Mera was terribly amused by this all especially Walters behavior
Slowly the wheel came to a stop and once it stopped Walter could read what was written on the purple background, its 'My Hero Academia'
'Well, not quite Naruto level of awsome but it's enough. Wait what's that!' Walter was relieved that he got a good world but when he was looking at the name he accidentally looked at the world next to MHA and his eyeballs could fall out when he saw the world next to MHA
'Dragon Ball', it reads 'Dragon Ball' one of the most OP worlds out there and it's just next to MHA, Walter immediately starts to scheme out how to get the powers of Dragon Ball
'Alright, I have to swing it as lightly as possible.' With a crazed glint in his eyes, Walter has come to a conclusion on how to get Dragon Ball powers so he spins the wheel as lightly as possible
This time the wheel did not spin for ages nor did it produce any sound it just slowly spun but it seems as if Walter put too much power into it, the arrow got on to 'Dragon Ball' but it carried on inching closer and closer to the edge
'Please, I beg all the Gods and my lucky stars, please fucking stop!' Walter begged all that was holy and unholy for the wheel to stop but atlas one who has bad luck will forever have luck and the needle went over to the next name
"Ha ha ha ha ha ha!" It seems that broke something within Walter since he slumped down and started to madly laugh, if he had a body he would probably also be crying with snot pouring out of his nose but fortunately he is only a soul right now so no one has to see such a disgusting scene
"Alright now I'm better. Let's continue on Mera." After some time Walter got up and saw what the arrow landed on and he wanted to sight, it is a crimson red background with the words Tokyo Ghoul wrote on, one of the most fucked up worlds out there
"Alright, now that you have stopped having an embarrassing mental breakdown that this beauty has seen and will remember for the rest of time we can continue with your power acquiring." Mera tried to embarrass Walter for his little breakdown but Walter doesn't even pay attention to her if you ask him his meltdown is justified, very justified
"Alright spin the wheels." Suddenly out of the big wheel flew out three balls one neon green, one crimson red and the last one purple, the neon green was first, then came the purple and lastly the crimson red
Then the big wheel dissolved into light particles which formed 3 lines and each went to one of the colored balls turning into the color of the ball the line went to, then the lines started reshaping before they also turned into 3 wheels although they are smaller than the big wheel
Getting next to the first wheel Walter notices it is chalked full of names each with different backgrounds, Walter can recognize most of the names, it is different powers from Naruto so of course, Walter would know them
'Come on Rinnegan, I've got some nice treats for you.' Walter thought, it may not help but you never know maybe it works, so Walter walked up to the wheel and spun the wheel with his full power hoping it will land on the Rinnegan
The wheel started to madly spin flashing different colors and names before it slowly came to a stop and it seems as if Walter's praying paid off
'What?' The wheel landed on a light purple background with the words 'Rinnegan-Preta' which confused Walter that is until he thought about the words Mera said and the way this all works, it literally gives one power, as one path from the Rinnegan is considered a power while the Rinnegan is considered a collection of powers
'That is enough.' Walter was happy with just the Preta path, after all, it is quite OP so after that Walter just half-assed his swing not putting any power or thought into the swing
The wheel didn't spin nearly as much as when Walter swung it for the first time but it did indeed spin and it soon landed on a bright red background
'Uzumaki bloodline huh, well not bad.' It landed on the Uzumaki bloodline which means that if Walter goes to Naruto he will be pretty powerful
"Well, then it's time for the second wheel." Walter went over to the second wheel in the row or rather the MHA wheel while Mera followed behind him floating above him with a bored expression she is even yawning clearly indicating her disinterest
'Come on One for all!' Thought Walter as he went next to the wheel, his eyes were practically shining and screaming out SMASH as he spun the wheel, Walter put his all into this wheel he went Plus Ultra
This time the wheel didn't have nearly as many names so it is smaller than the Naruto wheel, besides that the colors are also mostly green, yellow or pink so it is less spectacular than the Naruto wheel but it is none the less impressive as it spun
Soon the wheel came to a stop on a faded red, cinda pin color and would you know it the thing written on the background is 'High-Speed Regeneration', one of the 2 quirks that the first and original Nomu is known for
'YEEEEEES!' With a grin on his face Walter smiled at his success in acquiring a quirk that will keep him alive even if he gets his limbs cut off, in whatever world Walter is going to go to this quirks will be useful
'One more time.' Hoping his previous luck kicks in again Walter grabbed the wheel with both of his hands and flexed all of his muscles, from his arms to his back and his legs Walter used each and every one of his muscle fibers and spun the wheel
The wheel spun and spun, around and around, if someone was drunk and looked at this sight they would puke, wobble and fall into their own puke, disgusting, luckily no one is drunk nor can you have a body so you can't puke nor get drunk
After some time the wheel came to a stop on a sickly yellow background, it looks like some had really bad diarrhea, with the label 'Decay'
"Ha ha ha!" If before Walter had a grin now he has a full-blown crazy smile on his face, Decay is the quirk of Tomura from MHA and it is OP, the best part is Walter has the perfect way of making the power even stronger
"My luck is off the rails today!" Walter shouted out to no one in particular, he is just happy, its actually forced happiness since he tries to make himself happy to forget the Dragon Ball incident, truly a sad and pathetic creature
'Even the wheel is depressing!" With a grin on his face Walter walked over to the Tokyo Ghoul wheel but once he saw the wheel his mood got dampened and he is reminded of Tokyo Ghoul and it seems that the depressing aura of Tokyo Ghoul has transmigrated into the wheel as it only has red and gray colors it actually reminds Walter of a meme
It's the meme 'What is it called when Tokyo Ghoul is full of happiness? Imagination.', when Walter first saw it he went to the floor laughing
'Well, I just have to do it twice.' Walter consoled himself and went to the wheel, he can literally feel the depressing aura in the air, it's trying to choke him, typical to Tokyo ghoul
Spinning the wheel it begins rotating and oh boy is it depressing, Walter likes Tokyo Ghoul as a story, well besides the 4 season that was a confusing clusterfuck, but man is the story depressing it's Akame Ga Kill levels of depressing
'Alright last time.' When the wheel stopped Walter only briefly read the kagune he got, it's Kaneki's rinkaku, not Rize's but Kaneki's, big difference, and since Wanted this thing out of his face as soon as possible he only lightly swung it
The wheel soon stopped and Walter gained Touka's Kaku which is very useful, now Walter has a way to attack at long distance but at the same time cover his medium distance, Walter is satisfied with this arrangement, and he is also satisfied with the fact that the Tokyo Ghoul wheel disappeared
"Well then this is finally done, I thought you were going to bore this beauty for eternally, but anyway since this is done it's time to go on," Mera commented on the side boasting, even more, Walter would have rolled his eyes if he had them but unfortunately he doesn't have eyes
"Now there are 4 more things we have to do. First, your sacrifices and restrictions, say if you have any then I will give you the thing with equal value, and you use your modifications. Second body selection, you optimize your body to make it look how you want to. Third world selection, you select the world where you are going into. Finally, you go away and I can finally have some fun." Mera said while at the end she covered her mouth with her hand like a noble lady but Walter could hear that sadistic laugh she has from behind that mouth, it terrifies him
"Well then, my first sacrifice is my memories, I want my body to live out t's life but 7 days before I meet the Seven Sins I want all the memories of my body wiped and that instead, I get all my precious memories. Besides that I want randomized madness, meaning that sometimes, at random moments in my life I would fall into insanity for 1 hour but 10 minutes before I go mad I will go deaf at my right ear which will end once I fall into madness. Do I get any powers, and how many modifications do I get for these sacrifices." Walter said these wishes seem reasonable to him, besides that he really wants another power and some more modifications, after all, he wants to modify both Decays as well as his Ghoul nature to eat humans
"You will get 1 power and 1 modification do you accept?" Asked Mera, if you ask her the wish for insanity is stupid but it does indeed give Walter another power so it does have it's payoffs
"Alright, now with I wish to modify Tomura's quirk so that whenever is touch anything with any part of my skin it stars decaying, and that I can turn the power off or on. With the second modyfication, I want to make it soo that I don't have to eat human flesh because of my ghoul nature. So how do I select my power?" Walter said, he has already planed this all out, he is a little sad at the fact that he only got one power and one modification but what could he do about it
"Alright, your modifications are complete as for your power, who gave you the illusion that you can choose?" At first, Mera said it with a flat tone but later her tone turned very cheerfull and sadistic she obviously is an S and Walter is not enjoying his time with her
"Then how will I get my power?" Asked Walter after all this is something he sacrificed his sanity for it has to be something good and useful but if his gut feeling is right it is going to depend on his luck once again
"Well, what else than a wheel of fortune!" With an excited shout Mera flashes a happy smile before another wheel appears on her right, it seems Walters gut feeling was right, and he hoped it wasn't right
'Well I've done this 9 times now, another one won't hurt.' Going towards the wheel Walter notices that this wheel only has powers and abilities, no worlds meaning that once he spins the wheel he will get power, he won't have to select a world-first which is something Walter is thankful for
Spinning the wheel with some of his strength Walter looked on as the wheel spun around and around like a carrousel before it stopped
'Well, not bad.' Thought Walter as he saw the arrow stop on a light blue background with the writing 'Haki-Observation', it is a useful ability for daily life but more so for fights
"Alright now that is done you can customize your body or you can tell me what type of body you want, knock yourself out." Said Mera while watching Walters actions with disinterest in her eyes, to her unless Walter is screaming in pain this all is very boring
"Yust make my body like that of Sinbad from Magi: The labyrinth of magic. Now how do I select the world?" Walter said, he always wanted to look like Sinbad, the guy is just chiseled out to be a lady killer, as if someone took a big ass stone and chiseled out Sinbad from it, Walter once was on a site and it listed Sinbad as one of the top 3 handsome masculine male characters and Walter agrees
"Well it is simple really but before that let me explain something. If you go to a magic world you won't have mana, nor chakra nor whatever type of energy that the world uses. But your abilities like Rinnegas-Preta are usable and the mana will be stored into you, you just won't be able to use the mana for spells. That also goes the opposite, if it's a world that doesn't use a type of energy your energy-related powers are useless. Now that that is done all you have to do to go to another world is the activity you love the most, you have to spin a wheel!" Mera said, a sadistic smile decorating her face, she really loves to fuck everything up, it's her favorite pastime and obsession, and to confirm her statement a big wheel like the previous ones appeared next to her
"I should have expected this," Walter said he wanted to sight but atlas his nonexisting body doesn't allow him to do so
Walking up to the wheel Walter notices it is bigger than the first wheel standing at around 20 meters tall, and it has a lot more names, there are thousands instead of the originals hundreds
'Alright, this is the last time.' Steeling himself Walter walks up to the wheel and spins it, not with his full strength but neither did he half-ass it, he just put a normal amount of strength into it, but Walter out all of his prayers and hopes into this wheel
The wheel spun for a while until it came to a stop, it landed on a rainbow-colored background with the writing 'Seven deadly sins' on top
'Huh, thankfully it is a world with magic.' Walter thought but just as he was about to turn around and ask Mera what to do now his vision went dark and he disappeared from the void
