Chapter 24: The Face Slap 1
Almost all guests arrived there. Hanna was wandering every where as if she is investigating everything here and there. She has never thought her dad's house was soooo big. The flowers that decorated the room were more prettier than that small garden in their old house. She gazed at the flowers. 'They are beautiful but they are dead. Why i feel so???'
"Daddy"....
Hearing this little girl calling Fred so, all turned their attention towards them. All guests except Joan and Charlie were present there.
It was rumoured that Fred can never become a father. From where this girl came from.
They have also noticed a pretty young lady who is just about late 20's. They have never seen these two faces before and they have attended a lot many functions there.
Fred bend down and held her in his hands. " What happened?" He asked caressing her hair.
"The flowers here are lifeless. But those in the small garden at old house was not like these. Why daddy?"
"Well, these flowers were plucked some days before and can even be medicated or used preservative measure to make them not to fade. Really they are life less. But those flowers in our garden were still on the plant and was getting enough food to make them alive."
"Oh" She responded as if she understood everything that Fred lectured.
Her expression made everyone at the verge of bursting to laugh but she was not even noticing that.
"So this is why mummy always want me to eat more"
She suddenly went down and ran away to have a look at them again.
Just like every other guest there, Jane was curious to know who she is. Jane has a daughter with Edward. Her name is Leena. She had a crush on Fred but he never even looked at Leena. Sheila and Jane were good friends but still she and Joseph and even Fred hate Leena for her character. He even told Jane frankly never to bring up this matter again.
Jane stood up from her seat and went towards Sheila. Lea was sitting there with gloomy eyes. Her main query was who these woman and little girl are.
She was just about to reach there and a couple entered the hall and the hall went into silence. Joan holding Charlie's hand entered the hall. All wondered why they were also invited to this function. Coldness increased in Fred's face.
Joseph stood up and all the guests turned the attention towards him.
"Good evening, You all may be wondering 🤔💭 why I arranged a party all of a sudden. I want to introduce the little heir of my family. Hanna come here"
" Grandpa " she came running and Joseph held her in his hand.
"I will stay there on the floor. I am a big girl. You cannot hold me for long like this" Joseph laughed to her comment.
" Okay my dear young lady" he patted on the back of her head and kept her down and continued addressing the guests.
