Chapter 40: Three of them are missing!
Inside a hidden laboratory, Feng Xiaoxi is laying in a hospital bed and Ren Rouan is preparing the equipments needed for her operation. He put it in a tray and put the tray down besides Feng Xiaoxi's bed.
Feng Xiaoxi glanced at it and saw a different kinds knife, scissors, threads, cottons, needles, bandage and etc. After that, she closed her eyes.
After a few minutes, Ren Rouan is holding a syringe and walked toward her.
"I'm going to inject anestisia now, stay still." Ren Rouan said.
Feng Xiaoxi nodded with her eyes close.
"Okay, let's start!"
Back at the dormitory, their fifth roommate arrived and opened their room. As she walked inside, her light footsteps can be heard because of the silence enveloping the room.
She head towards the bedroom. She switched the light on near the door frame and found five unoccupied beds that have different color of bedsheets and pillows.
"Ah, where are my roommates? It's almost midnight."
She also saw one unoccupied bed that have no pillows and bedsheets and put her luggage besides it. She removed her sneakers and lay on her bed, sighing in relief. "Ah, finally here so tired ah!"
After that silence ruled the room again.
Suddenly, she heard fast footsteps and the door burst open!
"H-"
BAM!
"-i!"
She quickly sat up straight only to say hello to her roommate only to have a door shut at her face.
"...!!"
Door opened again and she saw a girl wearing her uniform who scanned the room and closed the door again.
"...."
"...!!!"
What's happening?!
She stand up and walked towards the door and wait for the girl to open it again. She can hear quick footsteps at the other side of the door.
After a few seconds, the door opened again! She quickly grabbed the girl on her arms and received a loud scream.
"Ahhhhhhh!"
Meng screamed in horror as she look at the unknown person infront of her who also screamed in surprise.
"Ahhh!" When the girl finally come to her senses she stopped screaming. "Wait, why are you screaming?"
"Well, why are you screaming too?" Meng questioned in return and looked at the girl infront of her, up and down. She's not familliar with her. "Who are you?"
"I'm your new roommate, Jess." Jess introduced herself.
"I see, Meng." Meng nodded and then turned to leave.
"Wait, where are you going?" Jess asked in confusion. It's already midnight!
"I need to find my young mistress. She's missing!"
Jess' ayes widened and she raised her eyebrows in surprise and hurriedly followed Mend out of the room.
"Missing? Since when and where are our other roommates? It's already passed curfew."
"You are right. Mo Weimei and Meili are also not here!" Meng's eyes widened in realization. "They must be somewhere together but it's already midnight. Where could they be?"
"Why don't we ask for the school's footage?" Jess suggested.
"You are right! Let's go!"
"Hopefully, there are many CCTVs installed in this school."
