Chapter 2: Being 30
San is Angel's soulmate but not her life partner . For everyone it is a complicated story but for her he is the person who can be everything to her except her boyfriend or husband . He protects her like a big brother , consoles and loves her like a guardian and most of all he knows most of her secrets . Her one and only secret keeper . But the problem is he is an introvert who rarely share his problems . They are together since their middle school . He knows her past , present and about her future plans too .
But this year he forgot to wish her on her birthday . She is still waiting for his wish . It's 9'o clock at morning . She is preparing her breakfast lazily , reading one of her favourite book " the power of subconscious mind" by Joseph Murphy . She is staring at the morning sky . Like every year she just wants to be alone but desperately she just wanted a few wishes from her loved ones.
She just took out her laptop to watch a movie . She opened the folder and there was a list of her favourite movies from big hero 6 to how to train your dragon. She is in love with animation movies and with graphics . Since past 10 years she only watched movies Like Captain America, Lords of the rings, Harry Potter including all those animation movies.
She wanted to watch Wall-E or big hero 6 aa both the movies are best according to her taste . At last , She choose wall -E .
It's already 2'0 clock at noon. She fell asleep while watching movie that she forgot about Ronnie , her beloved poodle. She is now a year old , as she gifted the poodle to herself on her birthday last year.
Ronnie wake her up and started licking her . May be Ronnie is feeling hungry . She kissed Ronnie and opened the container to give her food. Ronnie ran towards her food and started eating . Ronnie is making her life beautiful since last year . she waits for Angel everyday . She listens to her , sleeps with her and loves her unconditionally. But at this time she wanted to buy an aquarium for her as her gift . So, she planned to go out to the vet shop at the City during the evening time .
As she was deeply thinking , she heard her phone ringing . It was Nil .She knew Nil will be angry as she forgot about her lunch plan . But still she needs to recieve it. She picked up the call and answered.
Nil- "Hey, where are you ??Did you forgot about the lunch ?"
Angel didn't wanted to give him a chance to scold . So, she started speaking without a stop .
Angel- "Hey, sorry . I am just getting ready . Sorry for making you wait. Just give me another half an hour and I will be there with Ronnie." Then, she hang the phone .
She took Ronnie to the bathroom and they both took shower. While taking shower she was thing about what should she wear today . Although she is not excited at all but it's about Nil . So, she have too.
She took out her black dress and she tied her hair with a loose up bun . with minimal make up and a pair of white stilletoes and a black and white dress for Ronnie . She took her car keys and started the car . She is so late. it's already 3'0 clock but somehow she reached the destination within 30 min as there was less traffic today .
As soon as she reach the courtyard, Nil came out running and hugged her tightly and offered a kiss on her forehead wishing her birthday again . then, Nil held her hand and took her to the dining table . The feast was grand , a three layered cake decorated with animation characters like Pooh, piglet, doraemon ,mini and Mickey . And a bottle of red wine and lots of dishes from pork ribs to chicken soup , pasta, noodles and many more but her favourite was the giant king crab dish that her brother cooked.
As she was wandering about the dishes , she realised that it's been 2 years that she is home . Still she is uncomfortable to face her parents. She hates them to every extend .If possible , she wishes to never see them again . But she loves Nil so much and she never wants Nil to know about her problems with her family .So, she needs to act like a happy family everytime. And so is this time too.
Then Came Mr. and Mrs. Lee. , her so called parents. Nil greeted them and hugged them . Angel too nodded her head and wished them good noon. And they started Angels birthday celebration ,from cake cutting to the lunch . Nil and their parents were talking continuously but Angel was quiet all the time . After finishing the lunch, she wanted to rush home quickly to avoid any further involvement with parents.
So, she apologised to Nil to leave early . She hugged him and thanked him for the lunch and took Ronnie and rushed to the car . As she was opening her car door, she saw a few giftboxes. She sat down inside the car and started opening one by one. The first one was a handmade birthday from Nil which was filled with their photos of 22 years of togetherness. And , then she got a box of white chocolates as she hates dark chocolates. then , the bigger one . Oh!it's a guitar with a note " Don't stop as life goes on. Be happy and embrace rhe music once again ".
Yes, it's been a while she is away from guitar . She pat herself on her back and muttered to herself -"you can do it ".
She took out her phone and clicked a picture of herself with the guitar and sent to Nik with a message "Thank lil bro for the best gift ever . I love you . Bye."
Then, she drove away . It's 6'0 clock and she reached city to buy an aquarium with full of goldfishes. She gave the money to shopkeeper and took the aquarium to her home .
Yes , now she have a another bunch of pets to add to her happiness and to make her house crowded. She fixed her aquarium in the hall and prepared her dinner with a bowl of cup noodles and a sunny sideup egg . Then, she took a shower and went to bed . Yes , it's 10'0 clock and still no call from San . As she was thinking about San , her phone rang .It's an unknown no. . She picked up the call and answered it.
Angel-"hello!"
".Hey, happy birthday dear. I missed you "- he replied.
Angel became speechless because it was an unexpected call . Yes, it's her first love and her ex-boyfriend ,Moon.
She hasitantly replied -"Thank you for the wish. Long time ., how are you??"
Moon-" not happy without you. Can I be a part of your life once again ?"
Angel -"we....llll"( not ready for the answer)
Moon -" No need to reply me right now. Take your time but can I call you sometime ?? "
Angel -" yes, you can ( although she is not ready yet ).
Moon -" then, see you agan. Bye. take care ." and she hung the phone.
After Moon's call, she started wandering her memory land once again . although she still loves him but she never wanted him back in his life because he deserves better. She took out the old photoalBum from the store room and started looking at their photos . Yes, he still makes her skip a beat . she is so in love with him .
But still she don't want him. So, she better not think about him again . So, decided not to be in touch with him again. And she went to bed ro have a sleep .
