Chapter 25: Cloud 9
I invited Arthur to sit with me. He didn't seem to care much then sat on my left side. Ever since I met him a few weeks ago, I wondered if he was a good speaker. He barely spoke but seemed very observant.
At first, I didn't know how further will I stay like that and not say a word.
It was late morning, and the sun was covered by lovely rain clouds. Its rays barely touched the ground, and a very cold breeze danced through the air, and the sunflowers faced Earth.
He did not seem like someone who wanted to speak, but it kept on bothering me that he was not speaking. Then I also was afraid of offending him with my talkative self. A side that I keep closed in such mornings. A side that only Jong Hyun, Ain, and Jee had seen.
He sat quietly looking at the hot smoked teapot I had prepared. I started noticing in his eyes how he seemed like he wanted some tea, and he was hesitating. " Would you like some tea," I started.

I still wonder if Li Jun meant inviting me to tea on that morning, or was he just trying to create conversations?.
Unlike myself, he was the only one who would speak most of the time. He didn't look like the type who would speak but eventually, he opened up. Someone who always breaks silence's ice, but when he falls into it, he observes everyone with his dark shadowless eyes.
'if you may please.'

I was happy he accepted my offer. I poured him some tea. It was a mix of cinnamon and ginger. A strong punching smell, and he seemed too had enjoyed it.
With every word we spoke as the sunflowers swung with the gentle air breeze, the clouds disappeared and eventually, 9 birds sang their existence to begin that afternoon.

It was no longer late morning and no more cloud covered the sky. Nine birds sang with one voice that only we could hear. Purely with their voices the sun appeared. Li Jun stood and smiled at the sunflowers.
"Arthur, the sun is out, I'm going in now. I was thinking of visiting town later this afternoon and take Jong Hyun with me, but he's still sleeping. Would you like to join me? "
that was the second time Li Jun invited me to be by his side. He spoke along with nine birds.
